let's get together

Don't you just love when you find a stamp that is perfect for all your coffee friends? As soon as I saw this little stampset and die over at PTI I knew I had to make it mine. Especially since it was less than $10.

I also used papers by Echo Park from the "this & that" collection. The inspiration behind my card was this weeks sketch over at Techno Stamper.
Thanks for stopping by to look.

enjoy your...

I just love the papers in the dear lizzy "neapolitan" collection and knew I wanted to use them along with my newest PTI purchase called "beautiful butterflies".

I used the newest sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches for the inspiration behind my card.

Isn't that just a perfect sketch? Does it make you want to play along with me? If it does please leave me a comment and let me know.

silent night

We are supposed to be getting a big snowstorm over the course of the next two days. We will wait and see if the weatherman is right this time or not.

I created a quick card this morning for the newest challenge over at Christmas Card Challenges.

For my card I chose to once again use papers and embellishments from the October Afternoon "holiday style" collection.

I just love this collection and this card literally put itself together in just a couple minutes.

Thanks for stopping by to look.

merry & bright

Monday and that means time for a new challenge over at Merry Monday.

My friend LeAnne is this weeks guest designer so stop over and check out the card she created using this weeks sketch.

I pulled out my October Afternoon "holiday style" for this weeks card along with some twine from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by to look and if you play along let me know so I can come and check out what you created.

Okay, I am off to run a few errands before tomorrows storm arrives.

YOU...

I couldn't sleep last night for some reason so got up and worked on a layout of Micah.

I am trying out a few different scrapbooking styles and I am not sure if I like this layout or not so will leave that up to you.

I finally ordered some of the Mister Huey's misters and absolutely love them. Papers are all from the My Minds Eye Miss Caroline collection called "dilly dally".

Thanks for stopping by to look. Your comments are always appreciated.

this & that

It is a new week and a new sketch over at The Paper Players blog.

I love this weeks sketch and it was perfect to use my new papers by Echo Park from the "this & that" collection.

Of course as soon as I saw the sketch I knew those circles just had to be some hand rolled flowers. Leaves and sentiment tag are Spellbinders dies and sentiment is Endless Creations.

Here is the sketch that inspired me.

Thanks for stopping by to look and if you play along let me know so I can come and check out your card.

joy

I have another layout to share with you that I created using the February sketch over at The Scraproom.

All papers and embellishments are by October Afternoon from the "holiday style" collection.

I am hoping my MoJo for card making returns soon.

Thanks for stopping by to look.

come and sit a spell

Paige over at the Cards blog is looking for Quilt inspired cards this week so I am submitting this one.

I used grid paper by Echo Park from the "this & that" collection, doily is from my stash, the chair and quilt image is by Arielle over at Wax Fruit Co., ribbon is my handmade wrinkle ribbon and the sentiment is by October Afternoon.

Thanks for stopping by to look.

eye SEE you!

Well I thought I read the challenge correctly, but now as I type up my blog post I see that I totally got it wrong.

CFC41:  Jest for the Pun of it.
Use a pun, or a sentiment in a silly way to create a joke, on your
Clean And Simple creation.

I probably should have used something that said "Eye SEE You!" instead of what I used. But I am too lazy to go back and change the sentiment and re-shoot a photo of my card.

I think I will be a rebel and post my card on the challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays anyway.

Thanks for stopping by to look.

i love nana

I am working on getting my scrapbook pile smaller and worked on another layout that I am entering into my friend Rose's challenge over at "Do More with Less" to use 3 or more pattern papers.

I can't believe how quickly Micah is growing and that he will be 3 in a few weeks.

I used papers from My Minds Eye "So Sophia" and Cosmo Cricket "Clementine".

Thanks for stopping by to look.

kiss.kiss

I created this layout while Skyping with my friend Michelle in Australia last night. We try to get together once a week and craft.

I used a sketch by Julie Bonner for Jillibean Soup, but since I am using papers and embellishments by Echo Park from the This and That collection I won't be submitting my layout to them.

I am entering this into my friend Rose's challenge to use 3 or more patterned papers on a card or layout over at Do More With Less.

I love the papers in this collection and I chose to use the background paper for this layout as it matched the fence around the hockey rink in the background.

Thanks for stopping by to look. Your comments are appreciated.

winner winner chicken dinner

I am so happy I just found that I won the giveaway over on Ali Edwards blog. It is a class kit and spot in a Maggie Holmes' upcoming class called "happy little moments". This is a class over at Studio Calico.

Check out this class kit and all those goodies. I am really excited about the vintage book and that we will be using it for our project.

Happy Little Moments Class Kit

Okay so I am as happy as a kid on a merry-go-round.

celebrate this life - PP83

I have a quick card to share with you that I am making for the Paper Players challenge.

I always have a tough time creating masculine cards so I tend to use pine trees a lot on them. Maybe because most of the guys in my life love going up to Northern Minnesota on vacation and we have lots of pine trees in the area that we go to.

Thanks for stopping by to look at my card.

celebrate this life

A quick card for you today that I created for the CAS-ual fridays challenge.

They are celebrating Mardi Gras and asked us to use ribbon on our card.

Whenever I think of ribbons I think of handmade flowers.

merry monday guest designer - challenge #8

Yep, you read that title right! I am this weeks guest designer over at Merry Monday.

I am really enjoying making Christmas cards knowing that by next Holiday Season I will have all my cards ready to mail out.

This weeks sketch is just wonderful and I couldn't wait to get my card made. Don't tell anyone but I had it made within two hours of receiving the sketch from Lesley. *wink*

For my card I used paper by Memory Box from the "tinsel" collection, the tree stamp is by Stampscapes, sentiment is by A Muse and twine and crystals are from my stash. I painted the tree image with acrylic paints and then stamped it.

Here is the wonderful sketch that inspired my card.

I hope you will play along with me this week over at Merry Monday. Don't forget to leave me a comment here if you play along so I can come over and check out your card.

Enjoy!

waiting

and slowly the pile is getting smaller.

I just love these photos of Micah especially the one where he is knocking on the door and when   no one comes he sits down to wait for them.

I have just fallen in love with using doilies on layouts so want to warn you that you will see a lot of them in the coming months.

I added the red alpha stickers to both layouts to bring out the red of the flowers. What do you think? Is it too much?

These are how the two pages appear in his 8x8 album that I am working on.

Thanks for stopping by to look and your comments good or bad are appreciated.

babies day out

I was talking with a friend of mine today saying how many pictures I had at home to scrapbook and she told me she only had 53 layouts to do. I probably have 1053 layouts to do.

This is a layout I started last night before Cassie and Micah came over to spend the night and I finished it up today.

Thanks for stopping by to visit. Your comments are appreciated.

paper players DT

I just found out one of my favorite sketch challenge blogs "Paper Players" is having a design team submission, and are looking for someone to join them for March, April & May.

I love being on a Design Team and creating something each week. I haven't been on a DT for about a month since my time over at A Day for Daisies ended.

They have asked us to post on our blog three of our favorite creations. Okay, so I could only narrow it down to four to show my style range.

They have asked us to say a small blurb about ourselves here so here goes.

Hi, My name is Sherry Eckblad my close friends and family call me sherryann, either name is okay I respond to both along with others. *grin*
I have been crafting in some form or another for about 15 years. I started out painting wood, moved onto counted crosss stitch and eventually took a class in scrapbooking and was instantly hooked until a friend took me to a Stampin' Up party where my love for everything with paper and ink evolved. My style tends to run clean and simple but I can also create shabby chic or vintage if the occasion arises.

Thanks for taking the time to consider me for your Design Team call.

I used papers from "gathering" by Authentique along with a word sticker from the two sided elements in this collection.

I was blurfing today and saw a new challenge site that I had not heard of before Frosted Designs and decided to play along.

Thanks for stopping by.
Enjoy!

my favorite day

I have this pile of pictures on my desk and decided I should start doing something with them. So this is the result of the first picture in the pile.

Sorry the photo isn't that great it is dark out and the lighting in my room isn't all that great.

I love this little photo of Micah. He is growing up way too fast and will be three on St. Patrick's Day.

happy

I have a card to share with you today that I created using papers from "A Boy's Life" by Echo Park and my star nestabilities.

I used the same paper as happy and put birthday on the inside of the card.

I used the newest sketch challenge over at cardabilities for my inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by to look and as usual I appreciate and welcome your comments.

Enjoy!

birthday...

I have a quick card to share with you that I made for this weeks challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches.

I used Echo Park papers from the "A Boy's Life" 6x6 paper collection along with one of my favorie digital images Pollycraft Design.

Here is the sketch that I used for inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by to look.
Enjoy your day!

i miss you.

I created a card for this weeks challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays, but now that I look at my card not sure how CAS it really is.

This weeks challenge was clean and simple paper piecing. I paper pieced the chair and lamp along with the rug on this card.

I created a simple Z-fold card and used My Minds Eye - Miss Caroline papers from the "be amazing" collection, stamps are PTI "chair-ished".

I am waiting for Micah and Cassie to get here today we are going to make a valentine day treat called 'Cupids Crunch'. I have never made it before so am hoping it turns out. It is made with popcorn, vanilla almond bark, peanuts, valentine candy corn and valentine M&M's.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
