happy holidays ~ MM61

Monday, so time for a new sketch by Lesley over at Merry Monday. To say I love this sketch would be an understatement!

As soon as I saw it I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it.

I used a big snowflake embossing folder by Sizzix and added some bling in a few places along with a rub-on sentiment by Making Memories.

Make sure you stop over at the blog and check out what all of our talented design team members created along with our guest designers.

Elegance - MM#50

It is a theme challenge over at Merry Monday today and this weeks theme is "elegance". Lesely wants us to create an elegant card.

When I think of elegance I think of metallic colors and embossing. So I grabbed my Sizzix embossing folder and a big silver snow flake leftover from Christmas and create this card.

What do you think? Does my card fit this weeks theme?

Make sure and stop over at the Merry Monday blog and see what the rest of the design team came up with.

Happy 4th Birthday Blog Hop

If you are looking for my A Day for Daisies post please go here.
If you are looking for my Scribbles Designs post please go here.

We are celebrating TPE's 4th birthday by having a blog hop with both the card making and the scrapbooking design teams. This week I got to create a card using Ella the Pink Elephant instead of my usual scrapbook layout.

You should have arrived here from Kadie's blog. If not you are going to want to go back to The Pink Elephant blog and start here.

The hop is really easy and all you need to do is comment on each stop so you have a chance to win one of our fabulous prizes by Sunday (2/17) at midnight. All prizes are listed on TPE blog and winners will be announced on the TPE blog on Tuesday (2/19). Makes me wish I were eligible as we have some great prizes included something from me.

Okay now you are headed over to Susie's blog and if you get lost along the way you can always head back to the TPE blog here.

holiday cheer ~ mm #47

We have a new challenge here at Merry Monday that we will be doing every month and it is called Tic~Tac~Toe.

Pick three elements either up or down or across or diagonal and create a card using just those three items.

For my card I went straight across the middle.

Clean and Simple (check)
Color with Markers (check)
White (check)

What three items will you choose for your card? Can't wait to see.

Don't forget to stop over at the Merry Monday blog and see what the rest of the design team came up with.

I chose to use this sweet image from Bugaboo stamps called 'old snow star', along with my favorite snowflake embossing folder and an ornament die from PaperTrey Ink.

I hope you will find time to join us this week in our first challenge of the new year.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me.

enjoy your...

I just love the papers in the dear lizzy "neapolitan" collection and knew I wanted to use them along with my newest PTI purchase called "beautiful butterflies".

I used the newest sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches for the inspiration behind my card.

Isn't that just a perfect sketch? Does it make you want to play along with me? If it does please leave me a comment and let me know.

celebrate this life

A quick card for you today that I created for the CAS-ual fridays challenge.

They are celebrating Mardi Gras and asked us to use ribbon on our card.

Under the Sea & Coral Reef Color Challenge

I hope you had a great Thanksgiving spending time with friends and family.

Did any of you venture out for the late night sales? I was going to but when I drove by the store there were tents pitched and the line went around the entire store. I don't need anything that much. *wink*

This week at A Day for Daisies we have not only a new release but a new challenge as well, so don't forget to stop by the blog and see what the rest of the design team has been up to.

Here is a look at the colors for this weeks challenge and don't forget to participate you need to use one of Tammy's images.

Don't you just love those bright colors?

I was so happy to see that Tammy put some Koi fish in this release and I new I wanted to use the colors and yet make it clean and simple.

I hope you like it as much as I do. Thanks for stopping by and I will be back soon with another card or layout to share.

Enjoy!

It is time for a new release over at A Day for Daisies and this weeks release is called "fall cuties". I got to play with the image "fall pup".

It is also a challenge week and this weeks challenge is called "gimme some texture". It can be anything embossing, fabric, ribbon, or anything else you can think of to add.

I used a Sizzix embossing folder along with some paper piecing and some twine to add texture to my card.

Here is a look at all of the new images Tammy has released into the shop today.

Make sure and stop by the ADFD blog and check out what all the other Designers have created for this new release.

Thanks for stopping by and I will be back next Friday with another new release.

joy

I have a couple of cards to show you that I created yesterday. I was listening to music and coloring in some of my digital images and this is what I made with them.

On this snowman card I used my favorite colors and since I didn't have any ribbon to match exactly I created my own using some seam binding and my Copic markers. I like how it turned out so might have to do more of that.

Thanks for stopping by to look. I will be back tomorrow with either a card or layout to share with you.

Enjoy!

happy day ~ ftl158

A couple of cards to share with you today that I created yesterday while I watched movies on Netflix and watched the rain through my window.

My first card is for the newest challenge over at Clean and Simple Stamping.

I kept my card pretty simple using just black and white Neenah linen along with a Sizzix embossing folder, PTI stamp, Cosmo Cricket stickers and Martha Stewart border punch.

Here is this weeks sketch that I used for inspiration.

Next up is a card I created using the sketch from Hero Arts along with some Authentique "glowing" papers and PTI "tag its #7" stamps.

Thanks for stopping by to look I hope you enjoy. Your comments are welcomed and appreciated.

white on white

I created a card for the newest challenge over at "less is more" and this weeks challenge was to use any 3 previous challenges and create a card with them.

I used the following challenges on my card:

week 14 ~ white on white
week 15 ~ embossing
week 16 ~ butterflies
week 10 ~ sentiment only

This was a fun challenge and it gave me a chance to use my new BasicGrey by Sizzix embossing folder along with my PTI fillable frames #2 stamps.

Enjoy!

for the love of white

I really do love white cards, white layouts ~ white anything. I have tried to gravitate away from it, but it just keeps pulling me to it.

You would think with me working part-time at a paper store where we have over 100 different kinds of colors and papers I would try something new.

Yes, I have all the different colors...I just don't use them.

Maybe tomorrow.

Now it is time for a new release over at A Day for Daisies. This weeks release starts the first of the fairytale collections "the frog princess". I used the image called "a lot of frogs".

Here is a look at all of this weeks new releases.

Enjoy!

party animals...

This card is for the newest challenge over at The Pink Elephant and it was perfect as I needed to make a boy birthday card and the sketch fit the image I wanted to use.

Okay I need to admit that I can not remember where I bought this digital image but when I saw it I knew I had to have it, so if you know which company it is please let me know and I will post it here.

I used embossing folders by  cuddlebug and sizzix along with some washi tape that has been in my stash forever that I am starting to use more.

Here is the sketch that inspired my card.

Enjoy!

saturday

That nice weather we had this past week is now a thing of the past and we are looking at cold and snow mixed with some sleet this weekend.

Archiver's had free make n' takes starting today so I went and made the card and the tag and then I shopped. They had just got in all the new My Minds Eye Stella and Rose collections and I picked up all 4 of them in the 6x6 pads.

My first card uses papers from the "Hazel" collection. The sentiment is a sticker from SRM "wishing you well", the lace is May Arts mixed with some of my handmade wrinkle ribbon in tiger lily. The stamp is Hero Arts which I also picked up today along with a couple others.

I used this weeks sketch over at Just Add Ink for my inspiration on my card.

The next card I created is a just because card and then I found a new challenge blog called Use it Tuesday and new I had to enter this into their first challenge which is to use a new image that you have never used before. I bought a new Hero Arts  stamp at Archivers today and wanted to play with it...so I created this card.

The stamp is called "large blossom" and I colored it with distress inks and water. The ribbon is my handmade wrinkle ribbon, sentiment is an SRM sticker from the "wishing you well" collection and the embossing folder is SU "vintage wallpaper".

Now this last set of cards is 3 of 5 that I made for my older sister Sharon. She told me on the phone she needs more kids birthday cards so that is one of my projects this weekend.

Isn't that little monster cute? I love the googily eye I put on them. I colored them with copics, embossed the backgrounds with sizzix embossing folders, the balloon is a QuicKutz die that I picked up today. The sentiments are rub-ons by Pebblesinc.

Enjoy!

saturday

The temp is finally above zero and I am going to venture outside for awhile and run some errands.

First I have a couple cards to share with you. The first card I made for this weeks challenge over at Cardabilities and it is a sketch challenge.

For this card i used up my leftover scraps from the Be Mine papers by Echo Park. I made the flower using some May Arts ribbon and then added some pink dew drops to the center. Butterflies are by Martha Stewart.

This is the sketch that inspired my card.

This next card is a just because card. I bought this cute dinosaur image over at The Cats Pajama's and just had to use it.

The embossing folder is one of my new favorites by Sizzix. I colored the image with Copics and then colored some ribbon to match.

Enjoy!

oh happy day

Have you heard the news? Lori Boyd is now doing challenges and today is our first one and it is a color challenge.

I didn't have any patterned paper that included all 4 colors in this challenge so I decided to pull out some of my cardstock and go from there. Along with the cardstock I used a large Sizzix Alpha embossing folder.

This cute image is "elliot the elephant" and he is available at the store here.

I hope you will take time to play along with us in our first color challenge.
Enjoy!

a gaggle of geese

It is Christmas Eve day and I have a couple cards to show you that feature this weeks new releases over at A Day for Daisies. I used the "four baby geese" image for my cards. Yep, you read that right I have two cards to share with you since I could not decide which one I liked better.

I added the sentiment  to the image before I printed it out and then just colored the ducks in and added some glossy accents to them.

This next card I colored in the ducks and then fussy cut them out and attached them over my handmade wrinkle ribbon with foam dots. I used a Sizzix embossing folder and some Cosmo Cricket "tiny type stickers" and turned this one into a baby card.

And here are all four of today's new releases. Aren't they all just adorable.

I want to wish all of you a Merry Christmas.
Enjoy!
