howdy

This week at Sentimental Sundays we are being sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps and for our challenge we want to see 'shaped cards'.

For this challenge I picked the 'wee ones cowboy' to work with and created a star shaped card as i thought it looked like a sheriffs badge.

I absolutely love how it turned out. I know I shouldn't say that but I can't help myself. I am just 'giddy' about it.

Hope you will join us this week in our 'shaped card' challenge as I can't wait to see what you create.

Make sure you stop over at the blog and check out what the rest of the design team came up with for this challenge.

Sad to say, but this will be my last post as a member of this wonderful design team. After being sick for almost 3 weeks I saw that I needed to let a few of my design team responsibilities go and sadly I will no longer be designing for Sentimental Sundays.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me.

enjoy

Wow, I can't believe that March is already over and next week we will be sharing with you the new card kit for April over at Artful Delight.

Before that happens I have one more card to show you that I created using the March kit.

Everything on my card is from the kit. I absolutely love the papers that were included this month along with all the flower die cuts and embellishments. Don't you just love that big brad?

Next week I will reveal the new kit along with my card using the April card sketch. Don't forget to play along as you have a chance to win either the card or scrapbook kit of your choice.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me.

bunny love

Friday and that means a new release from Tammy over at A Day for Daisies. This week is all about bunnies and flowers. I got to use 'bunny in a daisy' image.

This is the first card I have made in 3 weeks since I got hit with that nasty cold/flu bug that was going around. So happy that I was ahead on all my design team commitments.

I used papers from the Dear Lizzy 'lucky charm' collection and some of my handmade crinkle ribbon.

Make sure to stop over at the ADFD blog and check out all of this weeks new images along with what the rest of the design team created.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me.

Isn't she just the cutest? I love each and everyone of Lori's images and so happy to be a part of her talented design team.

Hope you play along with us as I can't wait to see what you create. Don't forget to stop over at the blog and check out what the rest of the design team has created for this challenge.

merry - mm #55

It is the 4th Monday of the month and that means time for a tic-tac-toe challenge over at Merry Monday.

I decided to go straight across the top and use an animal, designer paper and ribbon on my card.

For my card I used papers by My Minds Eye from 'sweater weather', the image is by Whipper Snapper. I added some of my handmade crinkle ribbon.

If you want to check out what the rest of the design team did with this weeks challenge you can find them here.

hello - SS147

This week at Sentimental Sundays we are being sponsored by Meljen Designs and our challenge is we want to see stitching either real or faux on your cards.

The design team was given some adorable images to pick from and I picked Peter Bunny to work with this week.

My stitching is between the two different pattern papers. I just realized you can't really see it unless you look really closely, but it is there.

Papers and embellishments on my card are from the Dear Lizzy 'lucky charm' collection.

I hope you will play along with us this week and make sure to go over to the blog and check out what the rest of the design team created this week.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me.

belated birthday wishes

Have you entered the sketch challenge over at Artful Delight this month? If you haven't you still have time.

We have a great sketch for you to work with this month.

I used the stripe and floral papers from the kit and then added those big yellow flowers that are also in the kit. Such a quick and easy card thanks to this months sketch.

I can't wait to see what you do with our sketch.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me.

Joyful - MM #54

Besides sketch challenges I really love theme challenges and that is what Lesley has for us this week over at Merry Monday.

This week we want to see Snowmen.

For my card I used 'be merry' papers by My Minds Eye along with that sweet snowman image by Inky Antics. Stickers are by Pebbles.

This theme was perfect for me as I love snowmen and am always on the lookout for a cute one.

Don't forget to stop over at the Merry Monday blog and check out what the rest of the design team created for this weeks theme challenge.

29 again?

It's my day up on the Artful Delight blog and I am sharing a card I created using the March Card Kit.

I am totally loving that silver border that came in the kit along with all the paper flowers. Notice that beautiful damask on the big brad.

Another great kit. You can see all the ingredients in this months kit here on the Artful Delight blog.

pinch me - TPE50

This week at The Pink Elephant Scrapbook Challenge our challenge is called "pinch me" which means we want to see the color green on your layout.

This is a picture of Micah from his first birthday. It is one of my favorite pictures and it is so hard to believe that tomorrow/St. Patrick's Day he will be 4 years old.

I hope to see you playing along with us this week.

I used the March scrapbook sketch from Artful Delight for my inspiration on this layout.

shades of green SD03

(this is my second post today - please scroll down to see my A Day for Daisies post)

Time for a new challenge over at Scribbles Designs and this month we want to see "shades of green" on your projects.

I chose to use Sandy's image 'tree truck' which can be found in the store along with the new images that Sandy is releasing.

For this months challenge we want to see green on your project.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me.

bedhead

To say I love this weeks new release over at A Day for Daisies would be an understatement.

Tammy has released a new collection called Bedheads! I chose to keep my card rather simple and color her with copic markers and then paper piece the dress.

You can see this whole collection along with Samantha's new release called I love rain over on the blog here.

Make sure and check out what the rest of the design team has created with all of the images.

Project Life - Week 10

Here is a quick look at my Project Life pages for Week 10. I am still not good at remembering to take pictures, so thankful that Micah's Mom sends me some or we would all be bored here.

Here is my two page spread. I still cannot figure out how to not get the glare on the left side of the page without the photos being to dark. Will continue to work on that.

Here is a look at Side One. I absolutely love the photo at the bottom where Micah is making the heart for his Mom to take the photo for me.

I used Washi tape and stamps from the Stamp Your Life Etsy shop which you can find here. Mari has great prices and she ships fast.

Here is side two. As you can see Birdie is back to laying eggs and when this photo was taken she had laid two eggs in two days.

I am also going to take a few pictures around my house showing things that I love each week and this week I am showing in the upper right photo some of my counted cross stitch which I used to be addicted to before I discovered my paper addiction.

If you have questions on anything please send me an email or leave a comment.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me.

lucky me

A quick card to share with you that I created before I got sick with some kind of cold/crud that is going around.

This is my second card using this weeks sketch challenge over at Seize the Birthday.

It is a great sketch and I see myself using it more in the future.

wishing you - mm #53

Monday and time for a new challenge over at Merry Monday.

This week Lesley has a sketch challenge for all of us.

Sketch challenges are probably my favorite kind to do.

I used papers by My Minds Eye along with a sentiment by Inky Antics. This card went together really quick, which is why I love sketch challenges.

Hope you stop by the blog and check out what the rest of the design team created.

b is for...

Sunday, and time for a new challenge over at Sentimental Sundays. This week our challenge is to use 3 embellishments that begin with 'b' on your project.

This week we are sponsored by Tammy over at A Day for Daisies and each of us got to work with one of Tammy's wonderful images. If you follow my blog you know that I love Tammy's images and am on her design team.

I chose to use this sweet baby image called 'blankie' for this weeks challenge.

For my three embellishments starting with the letter "B" I used two blue buttons and the blue ribbon with the big bows as my embellishments.

Please make sure and stop over at the blog and see what the rest of the design team did with this weeks challenge.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me.

let's celebrate

I know I say it every month but I just love the March Card kit from Artful Delight. This months kit contains two of my favorite things, Paper Smooches stamps and Washi Tape. Life doesn't get any better than that.

I used the wash tape to create the stripes on my card and then cut one of the flowers in the kit in half and adhered it to the card after stamping the sentiment multiple times. A very quick and easy card.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me.

family - tpe49

This week over at The Pink Elephant Scrapbook Challenges we have a recipe challenge for you. We want to see buttons, ribbons and stitching on your layout. You can do a digital or a traditional layout.

I have had this photo of my Dad's parents in my stash for awhile now to scrapbook and this challenge was perfect for an older photo.

I also challenged myself to use papers from a 6x6 paper collection that has been sitting on top of my desk for awhile now. The 6x6 papers, ribbons, stickers and fabric brads are all from the BasicGrey 'lucille collection and the main 12x12 paper is by Studio Calico. I x6the doilies to the layout not only because I like how they looked but they also hid where I joined the 6x6 papers together.

I hope you will find time to play along with us this week in our recipe challenge. Make sure and check out what the rest of the design team has created here on the blog.

happy day ~ STB#9

Yesterday, a new sketch as put up for the newest challenge over at Seize the Birthday and of  course I had to play along.

This week we are creating a feminine birthday card following the above sketch. I used papers by Crate Paper by Maggie Holmes and my favorite Pure Innocence stamp.

Next week it will be the same sketch but a masculine twist to it and my card is done and ready to go. I would show it to you now, but that isn't how we play at Seize the Birthday.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me.

rockin' out the digis card challenge

My friend Jackie is doing a card challenge today and she is providing the digital images for us to use on a CAS card. I had a couple minutes to play along today.

Great images and fun to play with too. This card came together quickly.

Project Life - Week 10

Hard to believe we are already 10 weeks into the new year. Here is a look at my Project Life pages.

I am trying to keep the two pages similar so they flow together not only as a week but for the entire year, which to me means using lots of the same colors throughout.

Lots of family in this weeks layouts as we were up in Wahpeton, North Dakota visiting for a couple days.

Here is a closer look at side one. I enclosed in the bottom right pocket a card I received from my BFF Judy. Love that I have a place to store memorbilia. I used some stamps this week that will be coming to The Stamp Your Life Etsy store soon as well as some flair badges that are already in stock.

The today and heart flair as well as the "photograph by" stamped image are from the SYL store.

Thanks for stopping by to look at my Project Life layouts. If you do Project Life I would love to come over and have a look, just leave me a link to your blog below in the comments.

If you have any questions about Project Life or how to start, I would be happy to help you.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me.
