loving easter greeting

I am finally getting some of my Easter cards done so that I can get them in the mail before it is too late.

This card is made using Card Patterns Sketch 57 along with some lovely Karen Foster papers, Prima roses, PTI buttons, pearl dew drops, Nestabilities, Martha Stewart ribbon from Tami, and Martha Stewart bunny punch.

Not sure if I like how the photo turned out. I took my camera outside to my front porch hoping to get better light.  Maybe I will stick to taking the photos inside.

frame it!

Well it is Tuesday and that means another challenge from Project Tuesday and this weeks challenge is to alter a picture frame.

For my frame I used a new picture of Cassie from her dance class, some handmade paper roses using scraps of papers I had. I added some prima bling, and a few SU leaves.

I haven't decided if I like it or not. I am almost thinking I should of stopped after adding a couple roses and the bling.

 Regina has been working like a mad woman lately creating lots of new digi releases.

Sunday Part Two

As promised here is the card I made using my new stamp (cling music score by Stampendous) that I bought at Anchor Paper Express yesterday. I love vintage sheet music and now with this large stamp I can create my own.

I added a border punch from EK Sucess, along with some leaves made from the SU leaf die, and a handmade rose misted with glimmer mist. The paper was distressed using the Tim Holtz edge distresser and Ranger Distress inks in Pure Honey and Vintage Photo.

Okay I am getting ready to pack for a trip to Wahpeton, ND to visit family while my niece is on Spring Break. I have scheduled a daily post while I am gone so hopefully you won't even have a chance to miss me. I will be back here by Friday.

Sunday

I couldn't sleep so decided to get up and share a card with you that I made yesterday using the BasicGrey "kioshi" that I picked up a few weeks ago at Archivers and my new Pure Innocence stamp that my friend Tami picked up for me at Smudges.

I hope you enjoy her and I may be back later today with a card using the new "music sheet" stamp I bought at Anchor yesterday. You are going to love the stamp.

It is Saturday and that means I am off to work at Anchor Paper Express today. I love going in and seeing all the new stuff and touching the different papers. Those who know me ~ know that I have an obsession with paper any kind of paper. They have a name for it, but don't think I can post it on my blog.  

My card today is for the challenge over at Clean and Simple Stamping. I decided to pull out my Sassafrass Lass "monstrosity" papers and use my new stamp set that I picked up at Michaels called "my little monsters" by recollections.

Oh Baby

I have a couple of cards to share with you today. The first card is for this weeks challenge over at Card Positioning Systems CPS159.

For this card I used some PTI brown cardstock, Neenah Solar white cardstock, Lasting Impressions Sunflower inked dots pattern paper, pebblesinc. lil' buddy sticker, SU beautiful stamp.

This next card is for the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #61 over at The Sweetest Thing blog. Once again I have decided to make a baby card. Must have babies on the brain after making the 8x8 album for my new great niece Lily.

I love how this one turned out. It is a 4.25" square card and with the piece sticking off the edge it still fits into an A2 envelope.

For this card I used Neenah solar white cardstock, Lasting Impressions smooth sailing fleur & smooth sailing dots pattern paper, BasicGrey button, Pebblesinc. Lil' Buddy sticker, stamp by savvy stamps.

Flower Pot Card

It is Tuesday and that means time for another challenge over at Project Tuesday.

This weeks challenge is to create a flower pot card which was a lot of fun to make and easy with the tutorial that was provided.

It was a beautiful Minnesota day today so decided to take my photo outside on the front porch to see if I could get a little more light.

For this card I used Cosmo Cricket "Girl Friday" papers, Marvy flower punch, A Muse sentiment on front & Penny Black sentiment on the inside, Stampin' Up border punch, PTI vintage buttons, Martha Stewart leaf punch, & Bo Bunny ribbon.

for lily part II

I thought I would share a couple more pages of the book that I am doing for my niece Angela and her husband Craig.

I finally finished the book today and will get it in the mail to her as soon as she sends me the last photo for it.

The weatherman says we are suppose to have a couple more days of Spring like weather before it gets cold and wet again. I sure hope it doesn't get too wet.

beautiful blooms give away

It looks like it is going to be a beautiful day here in Minneapolis today and what a great way to introduce the newest release from Regina over at The Cutting Cafe.

The new release is called Beautiful Blooms and you are going to love it as much as I do. Lots of flowers, vases, & sentiments too.

The best part about this set is Regina is letting me give one lucky winner the entire set. All you need to do is leave me a comment by Midnight March 24th and I will draw one random winner on March 25th.

Here is my card using this fun set. The hardest part was deciding which flower and vase to use.

I have been working like a mad woman trying to get the scrapbook done for Lily so I can get it in the mail to her parents.

Thought I would share a few more pages with you before I go and bake another HUGE cupcake for Micah. Today is his official FIRST Birthday party.

Sorry the lighting in the photos isn't as nice as I would like but it is too cold to go outside and take a photo this morning. Although I love both of these page layouts, I really like this yellow and pink one. I even made a handmade rose using some coordinating basicgrey "sophia" papers.

I have another card for you today. This one is for the challenge over at Taylored Expressions.

For this card I used some new papers that I picked up at Anchor Paper when I worked this past Saturday. They are from the American Crafts "I do" collection. I love the soft colors and the embossing.

This card is perfect for a wedding or an engagement (wink). I also used a fiskars border punch, PTI vintage button, & on the retro chipboard flower I used my cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder.

2 card challenges - sorry for the long post

Well I have been a little busy and have 2 card challenges to show you today.

The first card is for the challenge this week over at Sketch Girl this was a fun sketch and I used the new BasicGrey "kioshi" 6x6 paper pad along with another handmade rose. The sentiment is from American Crafts "dear lizzy" that I picked up at Anchor Paper this past weekend.

This 2nd card is for Card Patterns sketch 55 and I used the Cosmo Cricket "joy ride" 6x6 mini deck, ribbon is from CC "earth love" and the image is from Digital Fairy Stamps. You just gotta love this little guy.

happy birthday Micah

I can't believe that Micah is already one year old. Hard to believe that today is here already. Where does the time go.

I will be spending the day with Micah celebrating his special day while his Mom and Dad are at Work.

Project Tuesday - Tri Fold Card

Well it is Tuesday and time for another fun Project over at Project Tuesday. This weeks project was a little bit of a challenge for me to do, but once I decided on which papers and photos to use it came along quite nicely.

I decided to make a mini scrapbook about Micah's days on the Bus with his Mom. She sent me these two photo's today via Text message. The first photo is him in the drivers seat and the other is him checking the seats for any kids still on the bus.

The papers I used are from the new Cosmo Cricket mini deck "joy ride", the words are American Crafts thickers, The pockets have journaling about his love of the BUS. The ribbon is Bo Bunny.

mother's day

I hope you all had a great weekend and got the chance to spend a little time outside if the weather was nice. Here in Minneapolis it was 64 degrees which was a record for us for this time of year. The snow is almost totally melted and I am hoping Mother Nature is not playing a horrible trick on us.

My card for today is from the new "mom word block" digital stamp over at The Cutting Cafe. I decided since it was Mother's Day in the UK yesterday I would go ahead and make a card for my Mother-in-law a little bit early. (we celebrate in May)

I am going to try and get outside today and soak up a little bit of sun so I can raise my vitamin D levels like the doctor suggested. Then later today I am going to meet my friend Tami at Caribou for a cup of coffee and some good conversation.

paper roses

I wanted to use the newest paper rose I made while Tami and I were at Archivers on Tuesday. This one is made out of an old thesaurus that I had and we misted it with Glimmer Mist 'gold walnut'.

I used the challenge over at Our Creative Corner for the base of my card layout and then decided to add a little bit extra to the sketch.

The papers are from the new Cosmo Cricket "Joy Ride", pearls are KaiserCraft, ticket is Tim Holtz, leaf is a Martha Stewart punch, and the photo is from my evergrowing stash of old photos.

My card today is for the Sketch challenge over at Skipping Stones Designs. I used my new BasicGrey "kioshi" 6x6 paper pad that I picked up at Archivers yesterday.

I love the colors in this collection they remind me of spring which seems to be right around the corner here in Minnesota.

I had a great time at Archivers yesterday with my friend Tami and although I did not get a lot of stuff accomplished I did manage to pick out papers for two baby girl albums I will be making in the next couple weeks for my niece and for my sister.

Project Tuesday - Hinged Card

I am a little excited as today is my first post as a Design Team Member over at Project Tuesday.

This weeks project is to make a hinged card. If you have never made one before there is a great tutorial link on the blog as well as a video. I must admit this is my 2nd time making a Hinged card and they are super easy. The hardest part for me was deciding how to decorate the card.

This is a quick card that I whipped up today using the new digital stamp set "got coffee?" from The Cutting Cafe.

I am meeting a friend tomorrow at Archivers to spend the day scrapbooking and chatting so made this card for her. Because usually when we get together at least one cup of coffee is had by all.
