The Paper Players PP423

I am back today with another card and since I had the doilies and enamel dots on my desk already I decided to use them again before putting away.

The challenge over at The Paper Players is to use any type of animal on your card. This animal can be a bird, a bear or even a butterfly. I went with the butterfly since I happen to have a stash of these paper ones cut out from my favorite Recollections papers.

I used Graphic Grid paper by My Favorite Things along with a stamp set by Taylored Expressions.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me.

have a Holly Jolly

I am having a lazy Sunday afternoon and decided to make a few holiday cards. I am so far behind compared to previous years.

I used a stamp set that I picked up from Taylored Expressions a couple months ago along with some holiday papers from last years stash.

I am loving the large sentiment on this card. Quick and easy. Just a little bit of coloring with my Copic markers and some glossy accents on the berries and it was done.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me.

indie bloom

Have you seen the new collection Indie Bloom by BasicGrey yet? I absolutely love the patterns, colors and felt flowers in this collection.

I like it so much I used it for both of today's cards.

First up is the card that I created for this weeks challenge over at Card Patterns.

I think this orange and green is my favorite two pieces in the collection. Here is the sketch I used for my inspiration.

Next I used the pink and teal from the collection and created a card for the challenge over at Taylored Expressions.

Thanks for stopping by and I really appreciate your comments.
Enjoy!

ss51 - hello

Wednesday and time for another great sketch challenge over at Sasya's Sketches.

For this weeks card I used papers by BasicGrey from the "curio" collection. The handmade muslin flower was created by me (I am addicted), the leaves are a die cut from Taylored Expressions and the tiny type stickers are by Cosmo Cricket. (I am addicted to them too)

Here is the sketch that inspired my card. I hope it inspires you to play along with us too.

Enjoy!

brrrrrrrrr

It is freezing here in Minnesota and without the windchill the temp is -12 degrees fahrenheit. I am so ready for Spring.

I was telling my friend Amy how much I love the EAD vinyl rub-ons and she told me about today's challenge where if you enter a card you get 25% off your purchase...so I had to create a card.

This week it is a color challenge and we were to use Olive, Ivory, Chestnut and Gold. I knew that my BasicGrey "curio" papers should have most of those colors and then I dug through the fabric scraps my friend Judy gave me last weekend and found this gold and brown fabric to make a flower.

Next up I have a layout to share with you that I created using the Sketchy Thursday sketch from last week. Yep, last week! I missed the deadline by one day. I still had to share it as I am on a mission to complete at least one layout a week this year.

I took these photos of Micah last fall on one of our fun play dates. I also took about another 50 photos and was going to create a mini book, but decided to just put the other photos into 4x6 sleeves and put them inside his 12x12 scrapbook along with this layout.

Hope you Enjoy!

vintage grace

Every Friday is new release day over at A Day for Daisies and this week I just could not resist getting a couple of images and playing with them.

I knew immediately I wanted to create a card using the "40's View" lady and that I wanted to use Cosmo Cricket "Circa 1934" papers with her.

I found the perfect sketch for this image over at Taylored Expressions.

I will be showing a few more cards in the next couple days using more of the newest releases.

Enjoy!

let it snow ~ tesc131

It is Wednesday and I will be spending the next 5 days over at Cassie and Micah's house while their Mom is at work and Dad is in Prague for business. I am hoping that my scheduled post are working while I am away.

I have a card for this weeks challenge over at Taylored Expressions and am using some more of the new paper I picked up at Archivers this past weekend. These papers and sticker are from Little Yellow Bicycle called "Christmas Delight". Don't you just love the little reindeer and flannel papers?

And here is the fun sketch that inspired my card.

Enjoy!

butterflies

I have a card to share with you which is for the newest sketch challenge over at Taylored Expressions.

I pulled out the Webster's Pages "petite papers" for this card along with my Martha Stewart butterfly punches. Oh how I love them. The embossing die is by QuicKutz and the ribbon is some of my handmade wrinkle ribbon.

Speaking of wrinkle ribbon I made a few more batches of it today in bright yellow, orange, pink, and lime green.  I don't know what is more addicting using it or making it.

If you are interested in purchasing some send me an email or leave a comment.

I am working at Anchor Paper Express tomorrow so if you are in the area stop and say hello.

Enjoy!

hello there ~ monkey ~ hb2u

I never know how to title my post so these days I am just doing something from the title of the card or layout and when I have multiple pieces to share, you get  a little bit of a weird title ~ like the one above.

We had quite the storm last evening, everything from rain, to big bolts of lightning to 1" hail. At one point our sky was even pea green. I hate storms.

I have a few cards to share with you today and the first card is for this weeks challenge over at Taylored Expressions.

For the card above I  used some more of the BasicGrey "Olivia" papers. I hope you are not bored with this collection yet as you will probably see a lot of it in the coming days.  To shake things up a little my next cards will use the BasicGrey "Oliver" collection which is just as cute.

The monkey paper was just perfect for the challenge over at Clean and Simple Stamping.

My last card is for Pals Paper Arts which is a new blog challenge to me. I found it while blurfing today and thought I would give it a try. I did rotate the sketch just a little bit as you will see.

Don't you just love the train paper, journal card and the colors of this collection.

Well I will be back tomorrow with some scrapbook layouts I hope. I am planning on spending the entire day and evening at Archivers at their Scrap Mania. I haven't gone to one in ages and it is always fun to meet other scrappers and see what they are working on and exchanging ideas..

Have a great day!

bravisimo! ~ so special ~ masculine ~ rosebuds

If you have been reading my blog lately you know that I have been a maniac making card producing machine. lol

Well I have a few more to share with you today which will almost get me caught up.

I was so excited to finally find this hero arts stamp set at Anchor Paper when I worked last weekend. It has been on my wish list ever since I first saw it. I think it worked perfect with this sketch from Taylored Expressions and the Cosmo Cricket "material girl" papers.

This next card was a little harder to create than some of the others as I wanted it to have a masculine feel to it. Now that I look at it not sure if I pulled it off or not.

Don't you just love this sketch? It was this weeks challenge over at Card Patterns.

Now these last two cards that I am sharing are for challenges that have already expired but I wanted to share them with you anyways.

I just love this clean and simple sketch from CPS Sketches. I have already sent this card in the mail to a friend along with some of my handmade wrinkle ribbon.

And this one which is for last weeks challenge over at SSSC for this sketch I used my new stamp set from Skipping Stone Design. The set has several cute bras and some fun sayings.

Okay that does it for me. I hope I haven't bored you too much and if I have I apologize.
Enjoy!

max and whiskers "hi"

Today as I was working on this weeks challenge over at Taylored Expressions I realized that I still had not seen my friend Tami's challenge card from last week.

Here is this weeks sketch

For this card I used BasicGrey "max and whiskers" 6x6 paper pad, PTI vintage buttons, linen thread by May Arts, Image is Pure Innocence by Heather Ellis, and sentiment is "tiny type" by Cosmo Cricket.

Enjoy!

for the birthday boy

My friend Tami sent me an email this morning challenging me to do this weeks challenge over at Taylored Expressions. Well it was a fabulous sketch so I told her game on. So now that I have posted my card we will have to wait and see when she post hers.

How fun was this sketch and it was the perfect time to use up some of my old papers "cogsmo" by no other than Cosmo Cricket. The truck image is one of the newer sets over at "The Cutting Cafe". I fussy cut around the truck and added buttons for wheels and added matte accents to the truck to give it a little bit of dimension then added the round sentiment from the same set.

Enjoy!

TESC104

I have another card for you today. This one is for the challenge over at Taylored Expressions.

For this card I used some new papers that I picked up at Anchor Paper when I worked this past Saturday. They are from the American Crafts "I do" collection. I love the soft colors and the embossing.

This card is perfect for a wedding or an engagement (wink). I also used a fiskars border punch, PTI vintage button, & on the retro chipboard flower I used my cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder.
Enjoy!

2 card challenges - sorry for the long post

Well I have been a little busy and have 2 card challenges to show you today.

The first card is for the challenge this week over at Sketch Girl this was a fun sketch and I used the new BasicGrey "kioshi" 6x6 paper pad along with another handmade rose. The sentiment is from American Crafts "dear lizzy" that I picked up at Anchor Paper this past weekend.

This 2nd card is for Card Patterns sketch 55 and I used the Cosmo Cricket "joy ride" 6x6 mini deck, ribbon is from CC "earth love" and the image is from Digital Fairy Stamps. You just gotta love this little guy.

Enjoy~
