hope things are...

A quick card to share with you today that I created for a new to me challenge blog "Hambo Hoedown". I saw this digital bird image with sentiment and knew that I had to buy it and play along with this weeks challenge "let's watercolor".

I printed out my image and then grabbed my watercolor paints and painted in the grass along the bottom and then I water colored the bird and balloon.

Once that was done I decided I needed a little bit more detail so I added this picket fence which I bought about a year ago from PTI and finally used it. The clouds are also a die from PTI which had never been used before. I added some jute to the sentiment and hung it on the fence post.

I must admit I love how it turned out.

I will be sending this card to a friend who is going through a tough time right now.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me. ~ hugs Sherry

trick or treat

A quick card to share with you that I created for this weeks Freshly Made Sketches.

I love making Halloween cards. I think it is because of the fun bright colors that everyone associates with this holiday.

I used papers by doodlebug from the haunted manor collection. The main stamped image is a stamp I have had forever called trick or feet by Stampendous. The head image is a new one by PaperTrey Ink from tremendous treats: halloween that was released this past month.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Have a great day!

happy halloween

I have been in a mood to make Halloween cards the past couple days and wish that we were having some nice fall weather to go along with that.

I created this card for this weeks challenge over at the Paper Players. I used papers and twine from the doodlebug designs collection "haunted manor", the ghost image is from "tremendous treats: halloween" by PTI. The sentiment is by Technique Tuesday from "halloween circles".

Here is this weeks sketch over at the Paper Players.

I love making Halloween cards so be watching my blog for more in the very near future.

Thanks for stopping by to look.

happy

When I first saw this weeks sketch over at Clean and Simple Stamping I thought I would pass on it as it scared me, but after looking at the card that came with the sketch I decide to jump in and do it.

I used Pretty Peonies by PTI for the flower and sentiment, papers are by BasicGrey from the Serendipity collection.

I really like how it turned out so am glad I decided to give the sketch a try.

Thanks for stopping by my blog to look and as always your comments are appreciated.

naughty or nice

I loved this weeks Merry Monday sketch so much I had to make two cards using it.

This first card is the one I am submitting for the challenge and I used my all time favorite Holiday papers by October Afternoon from the "holiday style" collection along with stickers and chipboard elements from the same collection.

Here is that fabulous sketch that I used.

I created this next card using the same sketch but can't submit for the challenge as I used a fall theme so I could use some new Bo'Bunny papers and chipboard elements from the "apple cider" collection along with stamps by PTI and Technique Tuesday.

Once again thanks for stopping by my blog and as always your comments are appreciated.

celebrating your birthday

I needed a birthday card for my son Justin's best friend Ernie who is coming over today for his weekly Sunday visit.

I used papers from the Echo Park "take note" collection, along with a sentiment stamp by PTI and Prima "say it with crystals". I got the idea of adding the little fish tail banners on the side from LeAnne who was in charge of this weeks challenge over at The Paper Players.

Thanks for stopping by to look and as always your comments are welcome. I am hoping to get a few more cards done today before company arrives and before it gets too hot in my upstairs no air conditioning craft room.

sending prayers

I have a card to share with you today that was inspired by this weeks sketch over at Retro Sketches. They have the most amazing sketches and design team.

As soon as I saw the sketch I knew I wanted to use my new Spellbinders "M-Bossabilities" folder along with a new butterfly stamp set by KaiserCraft, the sentiment is PTI.

Here is that amazing sketch that inspired my card.

Are you going to play along this week? Let me know and I will come on over and check out your creation and leave you some blog love.

I am heading over to color Easter eggs with Micah and Cassie this evening while their parents go out on date night.

Thanks for stopping by and as always your comments are so very much appreciated.

enjoy your special day

The weather has definitely cooled down since last week and today it is a balmy 33 degrees and rainy.

I created this card using this weeks sketch over at Clean and Simple Stamping along with some new papers by Bazzill Basics Paper from the Vintage Marketplace collection. The sentiment is by PTI from "beautiful butterflies" and the butterfly is Martha Stewart.

Thanks for stopping by! I am off to run a few errands before it starts raining again. With this weather though wouldn't doubt we get a few snowflakes.

all things grow with...love

It is time for another challenge over at The Paper Players and I am so enjoying my Guest Design spot with all these talented women.

This week Nance is our hostess and she has a clean and simple challenge for us.

Well you know I loved this challenge when I saw it as buttons are one of my favorite things to use on a card.

I used stamps and buttons by PTI and papers from Echo Park "this & that" collection.

I used the sketch over at Cards & Things as my sketch inspiration.

I hope you will take some time this week to play along with us.

Enjoy!

call me loopy

Yep, another card with those great loopy flowers that I just learned how to make. Thanks LeAnne!

I needed a card for my sister TerryLee as her birthday is early next week so when I saw the latest sketch over at Skipping Stones Designs I knew I had found the perfect one.

Don't you just love that sketch? I know I will be using it more and more in the future.

For my card I used a Kraft cardbase, papers from the Echo Park "this & that" Graceful collection, felt flower is made by me and the sentiment is PTI.

It is going to be another great day here in Minnesota and I am planning on spending a little time outside today working in the yard.

Thanks for stopping by.

a very happy

I spent a couple hours yesterday making these fun loopy flowers that my blog friend LeAnne showed me how to make.

Aren't those flowers just the cutest thing ever and they take like less than 2 minutes to make.

I used this weeks challenge over at Freshly Made for the inspiration on my card layout.

I chose to go straight across the top row for my card and use brads (I subbed crystals as I don't own any brads), Pink and Flowers. Did you notice the stitching on the card? I have moved my sewing machine closer to my work area and hope to be using it more and more in the coming weeks.

Thanks for stopping by to look.

Over at the Paper Players blog and I am their guest designer for the entire month of March.

This month Jaydee has given us the Theme of Spring to work with.

I am so ready for spring and so excited to play along side these wonderful girls on the design team.

For my card I used papers by BasicGrey from the "picadilly" collection. The flower image and sentiment are by PTI from the "pretty peonies" anniversary set, butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch. The sketch for my card was last weeks Sweet Sunday Sketch challenge by Karen Giron.

Please stop over at the Paper Players blog and see all the samples that the design team created for this challenge.

let's get together

Don't you just love when you find a stamp that is perfect for all your coffee friends? As soon as I saw this little stampset and die over at PTI I knew I had to make it mine. Especially since it was less than $10.

I also used papers by Echo Park from the "this & that" collection. The inspiration behind my card was this weeks sketch over at Techno Stamper.
Thanks for stopping by to look.

enjoy your...

I just love the papers in the dear lizzy "neapolitan" collection and knew I wanted to use them along with my newest PTI purchase called "beautiful butterflies".

I used the newest sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches for the inspiration behind my card.

Isn't that just a perfect sketch? Does it make you want to play along with me? If it does please leave me a comment and let me know.

i miss you.

I created a card for this weeks challenge over at CAS-ual Fridays, but now that I look at my card not sure how CAS it really is.

This weeks challenge was clean and simple paper piecing. I paper pieced the chair and lamp along with the rug on this card.

I created a simple Z-fold card and used My Minds Eye - Miss Caroline papers from the "be amazing" collection, stamps are PTI "chair-ished".

I am waiting for Micah and Cassie to get here today we are going to make a valentine day treat called 'Cupids Crunch'. I have never made it before so am hoping it turns out. It is made with popcorn, vanilla almond bark, peanuts, valentine candy corn and valentine M&M's.

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!

xoxo and cherish CPS anniversary challenges

I have been having fun playing along with CPS and their anniversary sketches. I have two more to share with you.

The first one is sketch #54 and I am using papers by PTI, digital image "you stitch my heart" by Creepie Cuties and alpha stickers by My Little Shoebox. I just love this little guy and couldn't resist putting him on a valentine for one of my nieces.

Here is the sketch I used for inspiration.

Next up is a card I created using sketch 242 along with my new MME papers from the Miss Caroline collection "fiddlesticks".

I used sketch 242 for the inspiration on my card.

Thanks for stopping by to look, your comments are appreciated and welcome.

I can't believe that it is already February 1st, where did January go?

I worked on a card for the Anniversary celebration over at CPS and today's card features sketch 166.

For my card I used papers by Authentique from the "gathering" collection along with a MFT doily, sentiment is Ali Edwards from Technique Tuesday and buttons are PTI.

I just love the look of soft blue and chocolate brown together.

Thanks for stopping by to look.

what's up

I went to Archivers yesterday looking for the new My Minds Eye papers and came home with everything but those.

I picked up the Echo Park "boy's life" papers and used them on my card today.

I pulled out one of the images I got in an image swap along with stamps by PTI and MME.

I used the Karen Giron's sketch over at Sweet Sunday for my inspiration on this card.
