I am up on the PoppyStamps blog today sharing a card I created using the "New" Chocolate Bunny die and one of the"New" Memory Box stencils.

My card was inspired by the the Stenciled class I am taking and the Day One card by Debbie Hughes.

I used the Honey Comb texture stencil by Memory Box and some Tim Holtz distress inks to create the background. To give my little Chocolate Bunny some dimension I cut him out 5 times and glued them all together.

Beach Beauties ~ Ai Pop Ups

Looks like it is going to be a day spent in the craftroom since it is snowing like crazy outside. We get above zero and this is what happens.

Part of my Guest Designer package from Art Impressions included 4 different sets of the Ai Pop Up sets. These were released at the CHA show a few weeks ago.

So fun and easy to use. I popped out the images in numerical order and then applied foam dots to each piece as I assembled the card. Once the card was complete I added some clear Wink of Stella glitter.

Meet the beach beauties! I am sure this is what me and my friends would look like if we were to hit the beach.

Here is another view of the card that shows the dimension you get when adding the pop dots to the images. Hard to see but I have some that are 4 layers thick.

The set also comes with another piece that can be put inside the card as well as two different sentiments you can use.

You will definitely be seeing more of these great cards in future post since each kit comes with two different designs and two sheets of each design.

I got a new stamp set after seeing a card that my friend Amy made and couldn't wait to play with it.

OCC ~ Stenciled Day 3 part two

I worked with another one of the lessons from class yesterday and this one was about using clear embossing paste on your stencils.

I used a hero arts stencil.

The trick to this lesson is to put the embossing paste on the stencil so that it is really thick. I had to let my card dry for 24 hours.

The sentiment is stamped on a piece of vellum. I had a leftover butterfly and some leaves from yesterdays card so used those too.

OCC - Stenciled Day 3

Hope I am not boring you with my cards from my card class but I am loving this class. 

Today we played with molding paste.

Here is my first card.

Digging through all my stamps I realized I don't have any small skinny wording stamps. Was hoping I would find a happy birthday but settled for this stamp from the WPlus9 Fresh Cut Florals set.

So I wasn't that crazy about all the green on the card. I need to learn to control the spray so decided to create one more without the spray. I also die cut the leaves out of vellum without stamping and embossing them like on the first card.

So which one do you prefer?

OCC - Stenciled Day Two

Yesterday was day two of my online card class called Stenciled and this is what I created.

I will be honest with you this was not my first card, it wasn't even my 3rd card. It was the 4th one that I made that I didn't get ink somewhere it shouldn't be or just a card I didn't like.

I am happy with how this one turned out and can't wait to try a few more of the lessons from class.

I am taking my first online class at Online Card Classes and just finished my first card.

I used my Memory Box 'honey comb' stencil along with some Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Peacock Feathers and Antique Linen. I used PTI Tag Sale #5 and the sentiment is by Paper Smooches.

Love Struck ~ Red & Pink Challenge

There is a new challenge at A Day for Daisies starting today and this time we want to see Red and Pink on your cards in honor of Valentine's day and our newest release in the store called 'Love Struck'!

For my card I used 'Love Clown'. I absolutely LOVE this image and had so much fun putting my card together for this weeks challenge.

I colored with Copic Markers and then added a touch of glitter with my Wink of Stella glitter pen. It went a little bit crazy after I squeezed it too much so don't pay attention to a few spots with more glitter than others.

The banner is by Heidi Swapp from the colorwash collection. I added some enamel dots and a chipboard heart.

I am hibernating in my craftroom today as it is way too cold to go outside. Woke up to -17 temp and -40 something with the windchill.

I played along with this weeks sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches. Love the banner and the butterfly on the sketch so had to play along.

I pulled out my Crate Paper 'close knit' collection along with my Memory Box Terrace Butterfly cling stamp and die.

I have another card to share with you that I created for my Guest Designer spot over at Art Impressions.

I have to admit that I just love this stamp set called 'crown set' and it was so much fun creating the card.

I used papers by Teresa Collins from the 'tell your story' collection. I colored the image with copic markers and paper pieced her jacket and skirt.

I was in a mood to play today so I pulled out my stencils and some molding paste and did a quick swipe across this little card I have had sitting on my desk and then I pulled out my envelope that holds all the digital images I have printed and not used and found this cute little robot by Birdie Brown.

As I write this blog post it is a beautiful day here in Minnesota with a balmy temp of 34 degrees.

I love the deconstructed sketch this week and just had to play along.

Art Impressions Guest Designer

I have some fun news to share with you all. I was asked to be a guest designer by Kate at Art Impressions and of course I said yes.

My box of new release stamps arrived two days ago and I have been having so much fun just looking at all the images and trying to decide which stamps to use first.

Here is my first card using the just released 'backyard boss' stamp set.

Don't you just love that image? 

I am also entering this card into the first challenge over at Cardz 4 Guys. The challenge is to create a masculine birthday card and I thought this one was perfect for that.

Mailing Love ~ My Vintage Valentine

PoppyStamps New Valentine Release

(This is my 2nd post today, scroll down for my ADFD new release)

I am up on the PoppyStamps blog today sharing a card I created using some of the new release dies and stencils.

Lots of new dies were released earlier this month and we are showcasing them on the PoppyStamps blog along with the new Stencils that were released by Memory Box who owns PoppyStamps.

You can't tell but I added some clear acetate behind the bijou film strip and then added some twine around the horses neck and stapled it to the film strip.

To give the 'mesh' stencil some texture I added molding paste and distress inks.

A quick card to share with you that I created this morning using this week sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. 

I used this silk flower that I made awhile ago that has been sitting on my desk as well as papers by My Minds Eye from the sweetest thing collection. 

The colors in my photo are a little off, the leaves are a chartreuse green vellum but look a lot like yellow in the photo and the enamel dot in the center of the flower is a pink color but looks white here. Not sure what I did with the photo but I am too lazy to rephotograph and start over.  

I love the angle in the sketch. I have been noticing them a lot in the card world lately.
