happy boxing day

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas spent with your family and loved ones.

I have been working on my December Daily and putting together my Project Life album for next year. Hoping it will be as easy as it seems to keep up with it.

Here are a few photos from our Holiday.

Right now Micah is crazy about everything Cars. He got both movies and all the little characters too. He is one happy little guy these days.

See you after the New Year!

christmas

Remember last week I was looking for help in locating this fruit basket?

Well I didn't find this exact vintage basket so I opted to go with this one that Amy emailed me about.

I really like how mine turned out and will continue to use this one until I find that vintage fruit basket.

Yesterday, I spent the day with my favorite little guy watching Dora the Explorer and playing with Lightning McQueen and Mater who happen to be Micah's favorite things besides me.

I will be back if my mojo returns before the end of the year otherwise I want to wish all of you a Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year.

Thanks for stopping by my blog I appreciate those of you who have visited and left comments. You know who you are. I have appreciated getting to know many of you.

Enjoy!

help

My friend Amy sent me a link to this great project as she knows of my love of any type of mini album or journal.

Well I have fallen in love with this idea and want to make one to start on January 1st and am trying to find one of these market baskets.

I am desperately looking for one of these market baskets. Size from what I could tell is about 4 3/4 x 4.

If you have one you don't want and want to either sell it or give it away (I will pay shipping) or know where I can find one please let me know.

Thanks.

seasons greetings

(this is a photo near my nieces house they put lights on the entire tree every year)

Sorry I haven't posted on my blog in awhile, I have been busy doing absolutely nothing. I can't seem to find my card mojo but am hoping it will return soon.

Last Friday was my last day on the A Day for Daisies design team as I decided to step down and try something else for awhile.

Have a great Sunday and I am off to decorate my tree and then work on my December Daily. I am a couple 3 or 4 days behind on it.

Enjoy!

December Daily

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile but I took some time off to go on a mini retreat with myself to my favorite scrapbook store about 70 miles from my house.

While I was there I worked on finishing up my December Daily and started the first couple of pages that I want to share with you today.

My first page was originally a different paper, but once I took these two photos with my mini instax camera I knew I wanted to try some corrugation from a cardboard box. The store owner was happy to give me a piece from a box she was unpacking.

I made the first days layout a front and back as I wanted to do some additional journaling and could not fit it on the page.

Day Two I decided to  go outside for awhile and I took these two pictures at the front of the store.

Don't you just love the decorations?

Day 3 is of Cassie she had her annual Christmas recital. As I look at this picture I realize how   much she has changed just in the past 6 months. They grow up way too fast.

That is it so far. Right now I am in the process of addressing Christmas cards so I can get those in the mail.

So are you doing a December Daily this year and if so would love to come and check it out. Just leave me a comment with the link to your blog.

Enjoy!

December Daily

I finally got in the mood to start working on my December Daily and here are a few pages from it.

I am going to wait and add the dates and most of the embellishments as I work on it each day.

I am using papers from a couple of different lines, but the bulk of my album is Simple Stories. I will add some other papers and embellishments trying to use what I have in my Christmas box.

I will post more as I work on it and hopefully I will have better photos. These photos were taken with my Droid X phone.

Under the Sea & Coral Reef Color Challenge

I hope you had a great Thanksgiving spending time with friends and family.

Did any of you venture out for the late night sales? I was going to but when I drove by the store there were tents pitched and the line went around the entire store. I don't need anything that much. *wink*

This week at A Day for Daisies we have not only a new release but a new challenge as well, so don't forget to stop by the blog and see what the rest of the design team has been up to.

Here is a look at the colors for this weeks challenge and don't forget to participate you need to use one of Tammy's images.

Don't you just love those bright colors?

I was so happy to see that Tammy put some Koi fish in this release and I new I wanted to use the colors and yet make it clean and simple.

I hope you like it as much as I do. Thanks for stopping by and I will be back soon with another card or layout to share.

Enjoy!

first snow

We received our first snow of the season today and although it was only about an inch the roads were a little icy. I decided to stay inside and make a couple cards and listen to some music. My new favorite artist is Bruno Mars and I love the song "it will rain".

I am behind on making Christmas cards so you will probably see a few of them in the next couple days.

I used papers and chipboard by Echo Park from the "seasons greetings" collection. I added some glossy accents and glitter to that chipboard ornament and I colored the pearls with my copic marker as they just didn't look right when I put them on the card. The sentiment is a rubon from Making Memories.

For my inspiration I used this weeks sketch over at CAS-ual Fridays.

Thanks for stopping by to look.

joyful

Wow, I can't believe how fast this month is going and that it is almost Thanksgiving. My birthday was last week and before too long it will be Christmas.

Since it is Friday it is time for me to show you a card using one of Tammy's images over at A Day for Daisies.

I used the "wild bird" image and love how just printing it right on my cardstock looks after I colored it and added a few lines with my scorepal. The rubons are by pebblesinc.

Thanks for stopping by to look.

Enjoy!

junk journal

I have always loved to make cards and scrapbook but lately I am really loving working and creating in my junk journal aka remains of the day album.

I thought I would share a few pages with you. This is one of those albums that is bits and bobs of papers, daily photographs, postcards and random items from your collection that you just have laying around and you sew it all together to create a journal that is one of a kind. I just love how full it has become when it is closed and how the bits of string from each sewn page just hang out.

I love putting postcards inside my book so if you have a postcard or two that you don't want from your city or country I would love to have them for the next junk journal I am getting ready to make.

Thanks for stopping by to look.

vintage

A quick card before I head out to run some errands.

I skyped with my friend Michelle last night and we worked on Cards. I created this card using the MFT typewriter stamp and die set that she bought me from MFT. I added some LilyBee papers and some of my wrinkle ribbon from my store.

Okay, I am off to GoodWill today I cleaned out my closets, dresser and a few other places and have 9 bags of clothing to donate.

Thanks for stopping by to look.

so very grateful for YOU

Wow, it somehow feels like I haven't posted in days. I had good intentions of creating a card or layout but never seemed to find my MOJO in time.

I do have a card for you that is for the November Kit Club over at A Day for Daisies though. I love all of the images in this months kit and if you haven't seen them all make sure to stop by the blog.

I decided to go for a pretty clean look on my card so used lots of Neenah Solar White Linen, a QuicKutz embossing folder, sentiment is by PTI and ribbon from my ribbon shop.

Thanks for stopping by to look.

Enjoy!

flocking

It is time for a new challenge and a new release over at A Day for Daisies. This weeks challenge is to use flocking on your card.

I don't own any flocking so had to create my own. I used seam binding ribbon and after unraveling a few inches of it I took my scissors and chopped it up very fine and then adhered it to my card with glue. It works in a pinch but I wouldn' want to do more than one card with this mehod.

I used the November sketch over at I <3 Sketches for my layout inspiration along with papers by Echo Park and a Cuttlebug embossing folder.

Here is a look at all of this weeks new releases.

I hope you will join in on this weeks challenge with us and remember you can only use ADFD images on your card.

Enjoy!
