Jingle Belles Challege - Tis the Season

I'm back I really am going to try and be more present on my blog this year. So lets start off with a card that I made for the current challenge over at Jingle Belles.

The theme for this challenge is "No time like the Present" and they wanted us to use some of our Christmas wrapping paper.

It was a pretty simple card once I remembered how to make a card as it has been so long. I used some ancient snowman wrapping paper, a doily from my stash and a sentiment from a PaperTrey Ink stamp set. I tossed on a few enamel dots and called this card done.

I have missed card making, especially when I went to mail out my Christmas cards and they were all store bought again this year.

If you are still reading my blog would love to hear from you and want to say thanks for not giving up on me. It's been a rough couple of years here.

Feeling Frosty

Time for a new challenge over on the Art Impressions blog today! "Feeling Frosty"  so we
want to see snowflakes, flocking and/or chunky embossing on your cards.

You know when you visualize a card and somehow when it is finished it isnt what you imagined?

Meet today's card. I used the Caroling Polars (Sku#4080) that I fussy cut out and popped up with foam tape on top of my shaker window.

For some reason when I was creating my card I thought the snowflakes and sequins on top of the snowflake background would show a little more and allow the the stuff inside my shaker card to "POP" a little more.

Oh well you get the general idea of what I was trying to achieve.

Thanks for stopping by today and happy stamping!

Merry.Merry.Merry

I couldn't sleep this morning so what else do you do at 3 am when everyone else is sound asleep?

I usually catch up on a television show on Hulu and make cards.

Meet Polar Phil!

I made two cards this morning and will share the other one with you later this month.

We got our first snowfall here in Minneapolis yesterday and today. I have a love/hate relationship with it.

I agree it is pretty but you get over that in about a minute.

Thanks for stopping by and I will be back tomorrow with my regular scheduled Art Impressions blog post.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me.

have a Holly Jolly

I am having a lazy Sunday afternoon and decided to make a few holiday cards. I am so far behind compared to previous years.

I used a stamp set that I picked up from Taylored Expressions a couple months ago along with some holiday papers from last years stash.

I am loving the large sentiment on this card. Quick and easy. Just a little bit of coloring with my Copic markers and some glossy accents on the berries and it was done.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me.

Christmas to All ~ Ai Holiday Sparkle Challenge

Welcome to the Ai Holiday Blog Hop - Featuring NEW Christmas 2014 and Ai Shakers.

You should have arrived at my blog from Kerry's.

For my card I am featuring the new image Christmas to All Set (SKU4517).

(copics used: YG05, YG17, YG23, BG00, YR04, YR07, Y15, Y19, Y35, E15, E25,
RV21, RV23, RV25, BG02, BG15, BG53, T0, R24)

I love snowmen just about as much as I love roosters so that is saying a lot. And this snowman is just adorable. Who can resist a tall man with a snazzy jacket and scarf?

I added some glossy accents to the holly berries and some Ranger Rock Candy Stickles to the stars, hat and snow to give it a little "Holiday Sparkle"!

Your next stop on our Hop is Renee's blog.

Make sure you stop and leave a comment at each of the blogs in our hop as Art Impressions is giving away TWO free stamp sets ( a Christmas 2014 and an Ai Shaker set) on each blog in the hop. To enter leave a comment on each blog in the Holiday Hop. Winners will be announced on the Ai blog on October 9th.

If you get lost along the way or want to start at the beginning you can find the entire list here on the Art Impressions blog.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Stamping.

merry

I am up on the PoppyStamps blog today sharing this card I created using the Blooming Poinsettia die and the Merry die.

If you visit my blog often you know that I am a fan of white card bases as well as clean and simple cards.

For the base of my card I used my Scor-Buddy to make lines at every 1/4 inch. I then die cut a circle in vellum and added white dash marks with my Uni-ball white pen.

The flower and leaves are also cut out of vellum and put together with foam tape to give it a little more dimension. I added some gold metal studs to the center of each flower. I then cut out the merry with some gold glitter paper.

I hope you will stop over at the PoppyStamps blog and leave me a comment.

have a bright & merry

I am going through my craft room and getting rid of tons of stuff and thought I would use this cute stamp set at least once before tossing it into the garage sale box.

I am entering this into the Merry Monday and Mojo Monday challenges for this week.

I am working on next years Christmas cards early since I didn't have nearly enough this past year and had to buy some.

joy

This is the last week to participate in the Merry Monday 'anything goes challenge' in July. Next week we are back to our weekly sketches.

For my card I used papers by BasicGrey from the 'Aspen Frost' collection along with some thickers alpha stickers, button from my stash and a snowflake I created using a die from A Muse.

This was a really quick card to put together and no stamping involved. I hope you played along with us at Merry Monday this month and if not you still have time.

happy holidays ~ MM

Over at Always Playing with Paper the Merry Monday group is still doing our Anything Goes Christmas challenge the entire month of July and I have another card to share that I created.

This card came together really quickly since no stamping of any kind was involved in the making of this card. I used papers and chipboard by My Minds Eye. I love a cute snowman and just had to use this little guy.

I hope you will stop over and check out what the other design team members created this week and I hope that you will play along with us too.

wishing you

Okay this is my 3rd and last post for today. I have been busy making Christmas Cards using this months challenge over at Merry Monday.

For my card I used papers by My Minds Eye from last years holiday collection along with a Martha Stewart snowflake punch, PTI buttons and stamp by My Sentiments Exactly.

For inspiration I used sketch #17.

Okay, thanks for stopping by my blog and as always your comments are appreciated.

have a merry

This is my second post today and includes another of my submissions for this months challenge over at Merry Monday.

For my card i used papers by Memory Box, the trees are by me&my big ideas and the sentiment is by savvy stamps.

I used sketch #9 as the inspiration for this card.

Thanks for stopping by.

distress stains

I absolutely love coloring my large background stamps with distress inks and acrylic paints.

Today I took a few minutes to whip up a card for the newest challenge over at Christmas Card Challenges. This weeks challenge is "backgrounds".

Once again I used a kraft cardbase thanks to my friend Amy who got me using those along with my standard white or natural.

Thanks for stopping by to look and I will be back soon.
Enjoy!
