Jingle Belles Challege - Tis the Season

I'm back I really am going to try and be more present on my blog this year. So lets start off with a card that I made for the current challenge over at Jingle Belles.

The theme for this challenge is "No time like the Present" and they wanted us to use some of our Christmas wrapping paper.

It was a pretty simple card once I remembered how to make a card as it has been so long. I used some ancient snowman wrapping paper, a doily from my stash and a sentiment from a PaperTrey Ink stamp set. I tossed on a few enamel dots and called this card done.

I have missed card making, especially when I went to mail out my Christmas cards and they were all store bought again this year.

If you are still reading my blog would love to hear from you and want to say thanks for not giving up on me. It's been a rough couple of years here.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me. ~ hugs Sherry ~

christmas joy

Here is another card that I created this morning while the rest of the family was sleeping.

I used my "lost & found christmas" papers by My Minds Eye along with a digital image from my stash, joy tag by chic tags, a christmas chipboard button and joy image from my stash.

I created this card for this weeks challenge over at Jingle Belles which is to make a vintage Christmas card.

Thanks for stopping by to look.

joy

This morning while trying to catch up on my google reader I came across this weeks challenge over at Jingle Belles and my friend Amy is the guest designer this week!

Here is the fabulous sketch that Amy designed, which is perfect for all of you that love CAS as much as me.

And here is the card that I came up with using the sketch as my inspiration.

If you read my post yesterday I am trying to use up all my Christmas papers and embellishments before the new stuff starts showing up in a few months.

For this card I used papers by Memory Box from the "tinsel" collection, the cute little deer is a "woolie" by BasicGrey from the "eskimo kisses" collection and the sentiment stickers are by Making Memories from the "st. nick" collection.

Thanks for stopping by and as always your comments are appreciated.

hello ~ it's a jolly holiday

(this is my 2nd post today)

I decided to play along with this weeks challenge over at Skipping Stones as I loved the sketch.

I used papers by lily bee design from the this & that collection and rub-ons by Paper Smooches from EAD.

I don't know what happen but when I applied the rub-on to this paper and lifted it off it pulled off part of the paper. I have never had this happen before so am sure it is caused by the paper. I kind of like how it looks so I left as is.

Next up is the card I did for this weeks sketch challenge over at Jingle Belles and I used some papers out of my last years Christmas stash by Websters Pages "holiday collection" along with a K&Co. grand adhesion. The image is from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by to look ~ hope you enjoy!

sunshine...

Finally it has stopped raining and the sun is shining in Minnesota.

I have a couple cards to share with you today.

First up is a card I made for the newest challenge over at "jingle belles" and the challege was to feature a santa claus on your card.

Up next is my card for this weeks CAS-ual Fridays challenge which is to use Buttons and Twine on your card.

Here is the card I created for this challenge.

Papers are echo park "for the record", I used a spellbinders "foilage" for the leaves and the sentiment is a rub-on.

My last card is one of those just because cards. I had some scraps of Graphic 45 papers left over along with some of my handmade wrinkle ribbon. I put a quick flower together and...like magic this card was born.

Hope you enjoy!

happy holidays...thinking of you

I decided to jump on the band wagon and do one of the sketches over at jingle belles. Now that our snow is finally melting I can make a few Holiday cards without feeling like I am jinxing the weather here in Minnesota.

This card went together rather quickly since I keep all my Holiday papers and embellishments in two large plastic containers (one for papers and alphas and the other for embellishments).

I can't decide if I like my next card or not. I created it for this weeks sketch over at Clean and Simple Stamping.

I stamped the Hero Arts flower three times and then added stickles to give it a little bit of a pop on the card. papers are BasicGrey "hello luscious" and sentiment is PTI.

Here is the sketch that inspired my card.

So what are your plans for today? I don't have anything planned today so will just wait and see how the day progresses.

Enjoy!
