Lucky Delivery - ADFD

This week at A Day for Daisies we are still playing with last weeks new release called Lucky Clovers.

I used the Lucky Delivery image on my card along with papers by Crate Paper from the Oh Darling collection and my current must use on everything and go to item...Vellum!

You still have time to play along with our current challenge which is to use green on your card. Details are available here.

merry

I am up on the PoppyStamps blog today sharing this card I created using the Blooming Poinsettia die and the Merry die.

If you visit my blog often you know that I am a fan of white card bases as well as clean and simple cards.

For the base of my card I used my Scor-Buddy to make lines at every 1/4 inch. I then die cut a circle in vellum and added white dash marks with my Uni-ball white pen.

The flower and leaves are also cut out of vellum and put together with foam tape to give it a little more dimension. I added some gold metal studs to the center of each flower. I then cut out the merry with some gold glitter paper.

I hope you will stop over at the PoppyStamps blog and leave me a comment.

be well

Just sharing a card I created for Sketchbook Saturday!

This was a fun card to create. I used the new BasicGrey Fresh Cut Papers and blooms along with some My Minds Eye alpha stickers.

Anyone who knows me, knows that I love to make flowers. My friend Amy sent me the link to a flower tutorial and I just could not wait to try it. I would put the link here if I hadn't deleted it after I watched the video.

Anyway I made the pink bloom on the left side and absolutely love how it turned out.

Thanks Amy! If you are reading this and you still have the tutorial can you link it in the comments?

hello ~ PP184

I had a chance today to play along with the latest sketch challenge over at the Paper Players.

Love the sketch, so many possibilities.

For my card I used papers and chipboard by Crate Paper from the Oh Darling collection along with my Memory Box stencil called Puddles and Rings.

nice rack

I had a vellum tag and a new stencil by Tim Holtz and stamp set by Fresh Squeezed Stamps sitting on my desk so I just had to play today.

Every time I see the sentiment on this card it makes me laugh.

That is it for me today.

Party On ~ Still Snowed In

Yep, I am still in the craftroom and today I want to share a few more cards I created using some of the new Art Impressions Pop-Ups.

First up I created a shaker card using this cute guy from the Enjoy the Ride & No Parking set.

Although it isn't showing up very well I sewed some vellum onto some patterned paper and then filled it with sequins and a sentiment.

Don't you just love the look on his face?

Next up is a card that I created using the other images in this same set.

This one is definitely me and my girlfriends. I would be the one in the back holding on for dear life.

Last but not least is a card I created using the Birthday Surprise & Birthday Party Pop-Up set.

My favorite thing about these Pop-Up sets is that no coloring is required. All you need to do is punch them out and add foam tape to the pieces to create a wonderful multi-layered card.

celebrate ~ DS139

I must admit...I am having a lot of fun with my Art Impressions goodies and since we are snowed in I might as well play.

I used the just released Ai Pop-Ups set Birthday Surprise & Birthday Party set.

I also used this weeks sketch over at The Deconstructed Sketch for my cards inspiration. I did flip flop a couple of things on the sketch to work better with my image.

bigger cake

We are busy digging out today after getting 11" of additional snow yesterday. The pile of snow in the front yard is so tall we can't even reach the top of it any longer.

Okay, truthfully hubby is digging out and I was getting my craft on.

Here is a card I created for my Guest Designer spot at Art Impressions using the just released girlfriends image 'giant cake'.

Hugs for my Tweetheart

I am once again guest designing at Art Impressions and this week I am using one of the new Hugs sets.

What is fun about these sets is that each one comes with an action wobble that you attach the arms for hugging or in this case you attach the wings.

It is just too cute with you hit the wobble and the wings go back and forth like the bird is hugging himself.

This weeks challenge is to use holly on your card.

with sympathy

I am still having fun playing with my stencils.

I used a Simon Says Stamp leaves stencil and applied two colors of green ink with a dauber and then added a little bit of shading with my copic markers.

I used the current Fusion challenge for my card.

I went with the butterfly theme for my card using a set by KaiserCraft that I have had for awhile now.

hello friend ~ RS#102

Another quick card today using this sketch.

I am loving the look of vellum on cards.

I used paper and ephemera by Crate Paper from the Oh Darling collection along with some cream vellum, sequins and sentiment by PaperTrey Ink that I embossed with some powder zink.

WISH ~ SSSC207

Just a quick card to share that I created this morning using Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch.

For my card I used papers and embellishments from the Oh Darling collection by Crate Paper. Love the colors in it. I also added a piece of vellum to the top of the pink patterned paper so it toned down the pink/red color a little. The wish sticker is from an alpha sticker collection by My Minds Eye.

Now I need to get busy and run to the store. We are expecting 5 - 7 inches of new snow later tonight and into the morning.

what a doll

A quick card to share that I created this morning using this weeks sketch at Cardabilities.

Pay no attention to the blob of color on the doily. I sprayed and then proceeded to put my hand in it!

Papers and ephemera are by Crate Paper from the Oh Darling collection.

be mine ~ ADFD

The design team over at A Day for Daisies is once again showcasing images from the February Club Kit.

This week I am using the 'cute love fairy' image on my card.

I colored the image with Copics and added clear Wink of Stella glitter to the wings and glossy accents to the heart.

I hope you will stop over at the ADFD blog and check out what the rest of the design team created this week.

Wine Flies...

A quick card to share using one of the Art Impressions Pop-Ups sets.

I just love these little ladies, reminds me so much of some of my friends.

The best part about these Pop-ups is that all you do is pop out each piece and add foam tape to each layer. No coloring involved.

I added some glossy accents to the wine glasses and the clock to give it a little more texture.

A quick, fun card in no time.

never grow up ~

Today I have another card to share as guest designer for Art Impression Stamps.

My card was made using the new Mini Front and Back Boy and Girl set released at CHA.

I tried to make it look like he was looking out the window of a ship and used some alpha stickers to form the beginning of the sentiment.

This next part is what is directly behind the little boy when you open up the card. I paper pieced his shirt and pants using papers from the Carta Bella 'rough and tumble' collection.

And this side shows the rest of the sentiment which says "never grow up."

This was a fun little set to work with and the card came together quite quickly once I figured out the layout and papers.

You Are Unique - MM94

The challenge this week at Merry Monday was to use a Stocking or Stockings on your Christmas card.

Okay, I had this great pair of socks by Unity which I knew would work but wasn't sure if I had a sentiment to go with it.

I found this 'you are unique' in a Paper Smooches Swanky Snowdudes set I had along with a Seasons Greetings which I put on the inside of the card.

I think it will work for Christmas.

I will send it to my brother, he will appreciate the humor.

coffee with you...

I have another card to share today using 'coffee bff's' which was just released by Art Impressions at CHA.

I am having so much fun playing with some of the new images as a Guest Designer for them.

I used papers by BasicGrey from the Fresh Cut collection along with some vellum for the sentiment. I colored the image with Copic Markers and paper pieced the clothes.
