2010 Calendar Finished

I needed to finish up my 2010 calendar so that I can hang it up in the Kitchen tomorrow and take down the old one. I have been making my own calendar for at least 15 years if not longer and it is always fun to look back at the old ones to see what we were doing and how much everyone has changed.

The pictures that I pick are some of my favorites that were taken the past year. I try to keep it pretty simple and not to many embellishments.

If you scroll down further you will find the January - April pages that I posted earlier.

I am looking forward to the New Year and creating new memories for next years calendar.
Enjoy!

hugs & kisses

I have another valentine for you today and this one uses one of the first stamps other than SU that I ever bought. I use it every year on my Valentine cards. The stamp is by Penny Black, the paper and sentiments are from PTI (a Christmas gift from my son Justin), the velvet hearts are Martha Stewart.

Today's card challenge is for SSAC46.

I want to wish all of you a Happy & Healthy New Year. Do you have any resolutions for this year? My list this year is longer than normal and am just going to write them down and keep them to myself.
Enjoy!

Robots & Hearts

One of my resolutions for this year is to make every effort to post at least one card or scrapbook layout a day starting now.

This is the card I created for the Sweet Sunday Card Challenge using my new K&Co. papers called Ka-Zoo Robots and Hearts. It is just too darn cute. Matter of fact the entire collection is just too cute.

The Felt hearts and button are Martha Stewart.

Paperback Books

I usually either give away the paperback books that I read but the last one that I read I did a little something different. Look at my card and see if you can tell what I created with the whole book.

Today's card is for Simply Scrapping December Card Challenege #3. Along with the sketch we are to use flowers.

I used poppystamps paper 'snow & cedar', kraft cardstock, nestabilities label 8, PTI new leaf button, gold & key lime pie glimmer mist, rangers vintage photo distressing ink, marvy large flower punch, and my Dear John paperback.

I hope you all had a great holiday spent with those you love.
Enjoy!

Miss You

My sister is downstairs reading this morning so thought I would jump on here to say that I sure am missing being creative this week. I guess we are in for a huge snowstorm starting tonight so we might be spending Christmas at home and having eggs and toast for dinner. Oh well at least I will be with family.

Thought I would share some quick pictures of Micah taken the past few days. He is now 9 months old and into everything.
Enjoy~

Merry Christmas

My sister is here for Christmas and I am not sure how much I will get a chance to get on here so just in case I want to wish all of you a Merry Christmas and A Happy and Healthy New Year.

Hope Santa is good to all of you.

Micah wasn't too crazy about this Mr & Mrs Santa. He did okay at the MOA with the other one. Maybe it was because it was also cold outside.
Enjoy!

2010 Calendar (part II)

Sorry no card today I am trying to get my calendar done so have two more pages to show you of that.

This is the photo we used on Micah's birth announcements. I just love it. He was 3 days old. It is so hard to believe that soon he will be 1 year old.

These are my grandpuppies Hemi (old english bull dog) and Mitzy (english boxer) I will have to find an updated picture of Hemi to show you as he no longer is this little and is bigger than Mitzy. He looks like a small TANK.
Enjoy!

2010 Calendar

Every year I make my own calendar that hangs in our Kitchen and about a week ago I remembered that I had not even started one yet so decided today was the day.

So far I have all the months on the calendar, the days of the week, the holidays, special events or birthdays and I even have January and February scrapbooked. March will be a photo of Micah as that is his birth month and after that not sure if I will use an old picture or if I will wait and do the scrapbook page sometime during that month to document what is going on in our lives.

What about you? What are your working on these days. Leave me a comment and let me know and who knows you just might get some kind of RAK from moi!
ENJOY!

I thought I was done making Christmas cards for this year, but all of a sudden I need two more to send out in the mail.

I saw the sketch for this card in my newest issue of Paper Crafts and thought it would be perfect. I used my Poppy Stamps "snow & cedar" papers, May Arts ribbon, PTI buttons, Pebblesinc. rub-ons and a QuicKutz tree.
Enjoy!

Sketchy Thursday

I have so much scrapbooking to do I don't think I will ever get caught up. I decided to at least do one page today and the Challenge over at Sketchy Thursday was perfect for this picture of Micah.

This is an 8x8 layout for his 2nd book that I am working on and I used Lil' Buddy Collection by Pebblesinc., Chipboard Star by Bazzill, Rick Rack ribbon & Thickers by American Crafts.
Enjoy~

Peace

I hope the weather is warmer where you are, here in Minnesota it is currently 0 degrees F (-18 c). When I woke up this morning it was -6 degrees. The joys of living in Minnesota.

One of the cards I made today just happens to qualify for the challenge over at 365 Cards, which was to use a certain sentiment and the word to use was PEACE.

details: paper (neenah natural white & esse brown), stamp (studio g), accessories (martha stewart leaves & cuttlebug embossing folder), ink (ranger distress inks vintage photo & antique linen)

CARDLIFTING

I went to Archivers the other day with my friend Tami and she showed me the most beautiful card that she had made and you know I just had to take her idea and make it my own. I love the paper it is by Christine Adolph and it comes with 16 individual squares that you just cut out and use for each card. It has trees, deer, stocking, & presents.
I made these for my son Justin who wants to give some cards to his friends and I didn't know if they would appreciate the buttons and ribbons that most of my cards had this year.

I will try and catch up on some challenges this week now that all my Christmas cards are signed, sealed and postal.
Enjoy!

Sunday Surprises

I am getting ready to go meet up with Tami at Archivers for the day, but before I go I have to share this awesome canvas that Yvonne created for me. This girl is absolutely amazing if it is this beautiful in the picture I can't wait to see what it looks like when it arrives from Singapore.

Just look how beautiful she made Cassie Jo and Micah appear with all those beautiful butterflies.

Mitten Gift Card Holder

While reading some of my favorite blogs this morning I found this cute little tutorial & template (Carolina's blog) on making a mitten gift card.

This little gift card holder is perfect for my little Cassie as she told me she didn't want toys or clothes for Christmas and that she wanted either Crafty stuff or Music.
Enjoy!

Snowflakes

Okay one last card for me this evening and this one is for the OCC Sketch Challenge.

This sketch gives me one more opportunity to use those BoBunny papers I am so in love with. I had to make the card a 4.25" square as I didn't have enough for a full sized card.

Besides the BoBunny papers I used BasicGrey buttons, and Making Memories felt snowflakes.
Enjoy!

Seize the CupCake ~ FTL70

This is the card for the Clean & Simple Stamping Challenge this week.  Such an easy sketch with one of my favorite things CupCakes.

For this card I used BasicGrey "nook & pantry" papers and chipboard. The ribbon is May Arts, and the sentiment is Hero Arts.
Enjoy!

Ornaments

I had a great morning visiting with the grandkids and seeing all of Micah's new tricks. It is amazing how quickly they learn something. This week he sits from crawling, stands up at furniture and then goes back to a sitting position. Oh yeah and he dances.

This is my card for this weeks Stamps & Smiles Sketch 42 I used some bazzil paper that I ran through my candy cane stripe cuttlebug folder and some K&Co. Brenda Walton Grand Adhesions that I bought last year. Funny how you buy stuff and forget you have it. I pulled out the whole Christmas box and all I can say is WOW I bought way too much Christmas product last year.

I love the lime green and hot pink combination of this card.
Enjoy~
