I have been enjoying scrapbooking so much lately, I may never come back to card making!

Here is a layout I created this evening using photos that my son took my at a recent Minnesota Twins game.

I used papers by October Afternoon and We R Memory Keepers along with some brads by Crate Paper, Mister Huey's mist, stars are cut with my Spellbinders dies, Font is Bella Blvd., and October Afternoon.

Thanks everyone for the prayers for my Uncle David. The doctor decided not to do chemo again this week since he is so weak, they will wait and see how he is next week.

I created this layout of my great nephew Adrian while skyping with my friend Michelle.

I used papers and embellishments from my Studio Calico April kit on this layout. I have to admit I am really loving these kits, which is something I never thought I would say.

Now if I could only learn how to get a great photo of a scrapbook layout. If you have any tips let me know.

it's your day

A quick card to share with you before I head out the door to take my Uncle David to Chemo therapy this morning. Five weeks ago we found out he has Pancreatic/Liver cancer and today we find out if they are going to continue the chemo therapy or just stop it due to the many problems he is having.

I created this card for this weeks challenge over at the Paper Players. 

I used papers and embellishments from the Echo Park  "this and that" collection. Stickerz are from EAD.

Scrapbook.

I have been up since about 3:15 as I could not sleep so decided to watch a movie on Netflix and create a layout of my great-nephew Ryder.

I used supplies from my April Studio Calico kit. I must admit I think this is my favorite layout that I have done in the last few weeks.

It seems my card making MOJO has left and the scrapbooking bug has taken its place.

Finally feeling a little better and I have a layout to share with you.

I used this weeks sketch at Sketches in Thyme along with some October Afternoon papers and embellishments from the "rocket age" collection. I even did a little bit of stitching on the layout.

I just love these photos of Micah that his Dad took while they were at Target. Micah got a little tired of playing as you can tell from a few of the pictures.

I have been a bit under the weather but have a card to show that I made a few days ago.

I created this card using papers and chipboard from Lilybee Designs, Twine from Jillibean Soup and the challenge over at Christmas Card Challenge week #20.

snowday

I know I promised I would be back with a card for you, but have been busy learning how to use my new Cameo Silhouette that was a gift from my bestie Michelle.

We have a challenge and we each have to create something using the machine and post it on our blogs. I cut out the circles in the background behind the picture with my machine after I figured out how to do it.

Besides getting me the machine she also signed me up for a class over at Jessica Sprague on how to use the Cameo Silhouette. I have to admit after Lesson One task Five I was ready to put some paper in and start cutting.

I am going to enjoy playing with this one for a long time to come.

Okay, now I need to get busy and make a couple of cards so will be back soon.

meatball?

Sorry I haven't posted in the past couple days, I have been working hard on my online class over at Studio Calico and Sketch 5 took me forever to finish. I think I worked on the layout for 3 days.

This class is really making me step out of my comfort zone where my scrapbooking is concerned and I am LOVING it!

Although I can't post the actual sketch from this class I can share with you the layout I created with it.

Can you believe this cutie's nickname is "Meatball"? Yep, along with LOVE BUG his Mom calls him MEATBALL!

Most of the supplies on this layout came from my March Studio Calico kit called "Story Hour". I am trying to use up all of the papers in the kit before I go onto my April kit.

The weather here has cooled down a little bit today and I don't even think we got up to 45 degrees today. Perfect weather to work on the Merry Monday challenge.

I think my great-nephew Adrian has to be one of the silliest kids I have ever met.

I created this layout for the newest challenge over at the Scraproom Blog.

Finally had a chance to play with this weeks sketch over at Merry Monday.

For this sketch I pulled out my My Minds Eye "lost and found christmas" papers along with an old snowglobe sticker by K&Company and some seam binding ribbon from my stash. 

I am trying really hard to use up all my old Christmas papers and embellishments before the new ones start coming out. Then I will have an excuse to buy new ones. *grin*

I think I love how this one turned out.

Today is going to be a go outside and work in my flower beds kind of day. I am not looking forward to that as I have lots of last years left over leaves, weeds and dead flowers to get rid of.

Here is a quick layout I did of my great-nephew Ryder. His Mom takes the most amazing photos of her two boys Adrian (aka ACE) and Ryder and I am lucky enough to get to scrapbook for both of the boys.

Don't you just love that sweet face? I know I sure do.

I used the March kit from Studio Calico called "Story Teller". I joined their kit club last month and am really enjoying using papers and patterns I wouldn't necessarily buy for myself.

I signed up to take Kelly Purkey's class over at Studio Calico called Sketchbook 4. It started yesterday and I am really enjoying it so far.

Here is my first page based on Sketch 1.

I took these photos last week when I was up visiting with my sister. I never realized how hard it was to get five kids to all sit for a picture. I gave up after 3 different tries and just went with what I had. I figure I can torment them with the pictures when they are much older.

I had so much fun last month being the guest designer over at the Paper Players that I decided I needed to play along again this week.

This week is a theme challenge: "tickle your funnybone!"

As soon as I saw this weeks theme I knew I was going to use a vintage image from my ever growing stash along with a computer generated sentiment.

I used papers from "these days" by Kaisercraft. I created a quick hand rolled flower and added a couple leaves from a nestabilities die.
