Friday and that means time for a new release and a challenge over at A Day for Daisies blog.

This weeks challenge is called "oh baby". Everyone loves a baby so let's get sentimental together. Show us your best baby design including a sentiment that melts your heart (and everyone elses) heart!

For my card I used this weeks new release called "tummy time" and I opted to go with a CAS white card with minimal coloring with the copics. My sentiment is an SRM sticker.

I hope you play along with us on this fun new challenge. Remember you must use images from A Day for Daisies to be entered into the drawing.

Okay one last card for today. I did this card for a new challenge I found while blurfing called "cards and things challenges".

For my card I used papers and embellishments from Emma's Shoppe by Crate Paper and sentiment by PTI.

I have a layout to share with you but need to apologize for the lousy lighting on it. We haven't seen the sun in a couple days and I could wait no longer to post this.

I used the sketch over at Lasting Memories for my inspiration.  Papers and mini stickers are by Echo Park "summer days" and the larger stickers are by October Afternoon.

I have a couple cards to share with you today.

My first card is for this weeks sketch challenge over at Clean and Simple Stamping.

I used a new Unity stamp that I picked up at Anchor Paper a couple days ago along with some of my handmade wrinkle ribbon.

Here is the sketch inspiration for my card.

Next up is a card I created for this weeks challenge over at Sassy Lil' Sketches.

I used papers by Crate Paper, some Websters Pages rose ribbon and SRM Stickers.

The sentiment kind of reflected how I have felt the past week. Prior to this past week I was having a hard time with lots going on in my life and had almost decided to shut down my blog and move on with life.

But for right now I am going to keep it going and I will just see what happens. So if you want me to continue please leave a little blog love as some days I feel as if I am doing this for nothing.

Okay I have blabbered on long enough and will let you continue on with your day.

UPcycle

I am loving this new line of paper from Cosmo Cricket called UPcycle and while blurfing the other day I found this fabulous sketch on their blog. And Cards Magazine will be picking a winner for publication.

Well you know I just had to create a card with it.

I must admit that I stared at the center of this sketch for the longest time trying to decide what to do with it and I finally decided to do rolled roses and hand cut leaves.

Here is the sketch that I used for my inspiration and I plan on giving this card to my Mother-in-law for Mother's Day.

While searching through my digital images today looking for something to use on a card I came across this Lori Boyd "puddle jumper harper". The best part is she comes with not only the little doll but also two different sentiments.

I decided to use an embossing folder for the background and then I cut out a circle and place the doll and sentiment inside the card along with some papers by Echo Park from "summer days" collection.

I made a couple of cards last night while Skyping with my friend Michelle in Austrailia.

My first card is for this weeks sketch challenge over at Card Patterns.

I used papers from the "portrait" collection by Crate Paper. The stamp and sentiment are by Unity.

Here is the sketch that was my inspiration on this one.

My next card is one that is going postal today to Michelle's grand~daughter Sophie who often pops in while we are Skyping, she calls me Nana Sherry.

I used papers and chipboard pops by Pink Paislee from the "hometown summer" collection.

The sketch from Techno Stamper was my inspiration.

It is raining outside today so I am thining it is a great day to do a few cards or a scrapbook layout or two and watch a movie.

5 & Dime

I spent that last couple days working on samples for the LSS that I work at and I got to play with the new October Afternoon "5 & Dime".

This is wonderful paper, I love the colors and all the embellishments that are available for this line.

Love this polka dot paper and I made the flower out of some new Webster's Pages lace that we just got in stock at Anchor Paper.

For this card I used one of the chipboard embellishments and a rub-on from my stash.

Don't you just love the market stickers and they have even added buttons to this line of products.

This layout used some different pieces from the chipboard collection. This is my niece Maya's picture from her freshman year of high school. She will probably kill me if she finds out I posted it.

for the love of white

I really do love white cards, white layouts ~ white anything. I have tried to gravitate away from it, but it just keeps pulling me to it.

You would think with me working part-time at a paper store where we have over 100 different kinds of colors and papers I would try something new.

Yes, I have all the different colors...I just don't use them.

Maybe tomorrow.

Now it is time for a new release over at A Day for Daisies. This weeks release starts the first of the fairytale collections "the frog princess". I used the image called "a lot of frogs".

The calendar says it is Spring here in Minnesota but looking at this weeks weather forecast I think NOT.

Now meet Lollipop Bunny.

I used paper by Echo Park from the summer days collection. I used this weeks Sweet Sunday Sketch for my inspiration. (just realized I was going to add a butterfly and forgot).

Welcome to another new release Friday over at A Day for Daisies. This weeks images are adorable and I couldn't wait to get my hands on them.

just a note

I went to meet my friend Tami for coffee this morning and before that I stopped at Michaels to pick up a couple things and I found this beautiful pastel green and white ribbon.

Well you know I just had to make a flower with it. My friend Bonnie taught me on Saturday how to make flowers out of wired ribbon. I am not as good at it as she is, but I plan on practicing on it.

I had so much playing with one of Lori's new digi images that I just had to play with another one.

Meet Shelby.

I have realized lately that I am using the color purple more and more. Not sure if I even like purple. Maybe it is a sign of getting older.

I used the sweet sunday sketch as the inspiration for my card.

I'm Back

I saw the challenge over at Our Vintage Affair and just had to play along because this weeks challenge is all about creating an Easter tag and they supply the cute image to use.

I used papers from Emma's Shoppe by Crate Paper along with a Martha Stewart butterfly punch. The bling was in my stash I think I picked it up at Micahels in the dollar section.

Next up is a little just because card that I created using the same papers and stamps by PTI.

Although you can't tell this card has a really fun fold to it. I stole the idea from my friend Bonnie who did a similar card in our Card Club yesterday. (thanks Bonnie)

ADFD ~ in stitches
