Poppystamps Twinery Blog Hop

Welcome to my blog. If you are joining us on the Poppystamps and The Twinery Blog Hop, you should have arrived here at my blog from Melania Deasy's blog.

Here is my card using the Poppystamps die and twine from The Twinery.

I used the Poppystamps Moo Moo Cow die along with some Maraschino Stripe twine from The Twinery. My card was really easy to make. I hand cut a fishtail banner and then die cut the Moo Moo Cow in it. I added the stickers for the sentiment and then wrapped the twine around the top that I added some silver bells to. I then popped it up with some foam tape.

For fun I created a second card for the hop using some Mandarin Stripe twine from The Twinery that I wrapped around a cardstock circle along with the Dianna Border and Mesa Background dies from Poppystamps.

Your next stop on the hop is Denise Hahn's blog..

For hopping along with us there are some prizes. The Twinery is offering a Metallic Sampler Pack ($32 retail value). Poppystamps is giving away the Frozen Flakes and Elsa Butterfly Branch dies ($26.50 retail value). For details on how to enter to win, visit The Twinery and Poppystamps.

Here is today's list for the hop:

It is finally Friday and that means time for a new release and a challenge over at the A Day for Daisies Blog.

The challenge this week is to use Twine on your card.

I used the image called "turning six" on my card along with some papers from My Minds Eye and twine from "the twinery".

I used this weeks sketch over at CPS for the inspiration behind my card.

Here are all of this weeks new releases.

I hope you will join us this week in the challenge and remember to be entered you need to use one of the A Day for Daisies images along with some twine from your stash.

just a note

I went to meet my friend Tami for coffee this morning and before that I stopped at Michaels to pick up a couple things and I found this beautiful pastel green and white ribbon.

Well you know I just had to make a flower with it. My friend Bonnie taught me on Saturday how to make flowers out of wired ribbon. I am not as good at it as she is, but I plan on practicing on it.

Stop back tomorrow for a new release and a challenge over at the A Day for Daisies Blog.

Enjoy!

happy birthday...the good life

I think I wore Micah out on his birthday with all the playing outside and fresh air that we got. I needed a nap too once I got home.

It is a beautiful day here in Minnesota and I have a couple cards to share with you.

This card was created using some new jillibean soup papers and embellishments I picked up this past week along with my new stamp set from PTI called "tag-its #1".

I created this card using this weeks sketch over at Inkspiration Challenges. This is my first time doing one of the challenges here and I am sure it won't be my last.

Next up I have a card that I did for this weeks challenge over at There She Goes and I used papers and embellishments by October Afternoon from the "thriftshop" collection.

Do you have anything special planned for this weekend?

Enjoy!

oh happy day

(this is post 1 of 2 for today...come back at 11:00 am CST for my by Lori Designs blog hop)

Happy Friday! Today is not only new release day over at A Day for Daisies it is also time for a challenge.

This weeks challenge is all about "girly girls". We all know a girly girl...maybe you are that girl. Make a creation so totally, undeniably, absolutely, fabulously girly! Sorry, no tom-boys allowed!

For my card I used papers and canvas die-cut shapes by BasicGrey from the "life of the party" collection, tiny type stickers by Cosmo Cricket and for the balloon I used twine by The Twinery.

For my sketch inspiration I used this weeks Sweet Sunday Sketch.

I love all of this weeks new releases and had a really hard time choosing which one to use. Do you have a favorite?

I hope you will join us this week for our challenge.
Enjoy!

hello

I have another quick card to share with you today.

I created this card for the wee memories "dust off your scraps" challenge. Who doesn't have lots of scraps laying around? I am also entering this in the "speedy the cat's friends" challenge which is to create a card using a homemade flower. The flower was created using some white muslin.

Paper scraps are from my Memory Box "brioche" collection, the rub-on is by EAD, and twine is from The Twinery.

Enjoy!

thinking of you

Sunday I spent the day with my bff Judy at Archivers. I didn't get anything accomplished but the catching up with each other and shopping was wonderful.

I picked up a couple new Hero Arts stamps using my Archivers coupons along with some new papers that I am sure you will see in the days to follow.

This card was created as a just because and uses one of the new Hero Art stamps "leaf cluster" that I got along with some new Memory Box papers from the "minuet" collection. The honeydew twine is from "the twinery", button is BasicGrey and the stickers are from October Afternoon and kraft cardstock.

Thanks Judy for the wonderful day and the beautiful handmade tote bag. I love it.

Stop back here tomorrow for the new sketch challenge over at Sasya's Sketches.

Enjoy!

(scroll down if you are looking for my Sasya's Sketches post for today)

Welcome to the By LORi Designs first ever blog hop. Lori has been busy creating all kinds of images and we want to show them to you.

You should have come here straight from the blog and if you didn't you will want to start here. Make sure to leave a comment on each blog along the way because there will be prizes.

Yep, prizes! There will be two $10 gift certificates given away for randomly drawn hoppers. You MUST leave a comment on each blog to have a chance to win.

Now let's meet some of the new images. First up I have Hazel who is a Bug and Roo digital created by Hannah Boyd who is Lori's 14 year old daughter. I have been begging Lori and Hannah for some balloons and look what I got.

Isn't she just adorable and not only does she come with balloons she also has her own sentiment.

Next up meet Birthday Emma she is a puddle jumper created by Lori Boyd and also comes with balloons and her own sentiment.

Isn't she just sweet? Okay, don't forget to leave a comment and then you should be heading over to see what Sheri has for you.

P.S. ~ Notice my birthday theme in both of my cards? Well today just happens to be Lori's birthday so make sure to stop by and leave her some birthday love.

Enjoy!

celebrate the season

I hope everyone here in the states had a great Thanksgiving. I am still away from home so hope you are reading this post.

It is Friday and that means time for a new release by Tammy over at A Day for Daisies. And my card is made from one of those new images. Isn't she just adorable?

I used some of the Cosmo Cricket "mitten weather" papers for my card along with a button from PTI and some bakers twine from the twinery.

I decided I should have paid more attention to the teachers in art class as my coloring capabilities are sorely lacking. Or maybe it is the lack of Copics in my life.

Enjoy!
