LIFE update

I just realized it's' been over 7 years since my last post. Where does the time go? It feels like the older I get the faster it goes. I'm still here, I have learned to take each day as it comes. I no longer make cards, i I tried making them after Justin passed and my love for them was no longer there. I now do other crafts to pass the time when I have the time.
On April 22nd I took my husband Joe to the emergency room for what we thought were muscle spasms in his back. They did a CT scan and found a mass so he was transferred by ambulance to another hospital and a few days later he was transferred yet again to another hospital by ambulance for a spinal biopsy to see what kind of cancer we were dealing with. After the biopsy he was was transferred back to the hospital to wait for the results. We found out it was a Plasma Cell mass and it was wrapped around his spinal cord so two days later he was again transferred by ambulance to that same hospital and on April 30th he had an almost 8 hour surgery to remove the mass. It went from L8 to T2, his scar is massive. He has screws, rods and a cage to support the damage done by the cancer. They removed most of it and he will have radiation to take care of the rest. On May 4th they did a bone marrow biopsy and found that he also has Multiple Myeloma which is a blood cancer. It's treatable but not curable. So we now will do chemo for life. We go every Monday and Joe has had his 5th treatment.
We have been in the hospital several times since the surgery once for kidney failure, blood transfusions (4 so far). Our hospital bills so far are over 750K so thankful we have insurance but we also have copays and other cost. My cousin Dana started a GoFundMe for us and I'm asking if you are able to help out we would really appreciate it. If you can't, I understand. Even sharing it to your Facebook or Instagram will help us.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me. ~ hugs Sherry ~
