adorable ~ rs#31

I created a card for this weeks sketch over at Retro Sketches. After looking at my card I realized that I was influenced by one of the design team members cards. Thanks Kasia for the inspiration. Maybe it was because I needed a baby boy card to go along with a mini album that I am working on.

I finally cut into my Crate Paper "little boy blue" collection that I bought about 4 months ago.

Here is the sketch that inspired my card along with the help of Kasia on the design teams card.

hello

A quick card to share that I created while watching Season 1 of LUTHER. If you are a fan of Dexter you will love this one too.

I used papers from the new Dear Lizzy by American Crafts, a polaroid frame and a button and twine from my stash.

I used the sketch over at Skipping Stones Design for inspiration.

I also did a little bit of stitching and added a couple Martha Stewart butterflies along with some My Minds Eye enamel dots.

I used this weeks sketch over at Freshly Made for the inspiration on my card layout.

your heart will lead you home

While blurfing the other day I came across a new challenge blog called Fab Friday and just had to play along.

I used some new papers and chipboard pieces from the 5th & Frolic line by American Crafts for Dear Lizzy. I just love the patterns and colors in this paper line. Don't look to closely at my stitching on the card as I am a lead foot and therefore stitch a little bit wonky. Hoping to be a pro once I practice a little bit more.

Here is this weeks awesome sketch over at Fab Friday.

happy boo

A quick card that I created for a new blog challenge that is for Cameo Silhouette owners. If you go over and check out The Cameo Spotlight you will be amazed by all the talent in that one design team.

I have to admit I was scared to create a card for this challenge as I am just learning to use my Cameo, but I gave it a shot anyways and went with a simple triangle banner and tag.

I used papers, alpha stickers and ghost brad by doodlebug designs, the sentiment is Ali Edwards from one of the Studio kits.

nothing more glorious

The cool temps here in Minnesota have me wanting to make fall and Christmas cards non-stop.

I created this card for Karen Giron's newest sketch using papers by Bo'Bunny from the "apple cider" collection along with stamps by Ali Edwards from the Studio AE collection.

Don't you just love this sketch? I definitely see myself using it more than once.

I am also entering this into the Inspired by challenge.

Thanks for stopping by my blog to visit and as always your comments are appreciated.

brrrrr

Woke up to 34 degrees outside this morning so decided to make a few cards while the family was sleeping.

I used my favorite stamping technique on this card which is using Tim Holtz distress stains all over the image and then adding a paint dauber to one section of the stamp before stamping it to paper.

In this case I used a green adirondak paint dauber on the tree. I added glossy accents to the bulbs on the tree and water colored the candles. Papers are from the Simple Stories 'handmade holiday' collection.

Don't you just love this little penguin?

As soon as I saw the sketch over at Skipping Stones Design this week I knew he was going to go on that card.
I used papers and brads from the BasicGrey "aspen frost" collection along with a Penny Black sentiment stamp. The penguin is by Art Impressions.

celebrate fall

I love Fall, in fact it has to be my favorite of all the four seasons.

I pulled out a couple of my embossing and cut folders and created this card for a couple of challenges.

My card was perfect for both the CAS-ual Fridays "fall fun" challenge and I used this weeks sketch over at Retro Sketches as the inspiration of my card.

peace ~ merry monday #33

I have a quick card to share that I created for this weeks challenge over at Merry Monday.

For my card I used a new stamp by Hero Arts called Winter Trees, the flair button is by BasicGrey from the Aspen Frost collection, a QuicKutz embossing folder along with some ribbon from my stash.

This is the sketch for this weeks challenge and if you hurry you still have time to play.

Well it is definitely cool here in Minnesota and our furnace actually turned on this morning. They are predicting our first frost tonight.

Thanks for stopping by and as usual your comments are appreciated.

trick or treat

A quick card to share that I created this morning before heading out to run errands.

I used the sketch from from Try Stamping on Tuesday which is a new to me again sketch blog found via my friend LeAnne's blog.

I needed one more Halloween card for a custom order I am doing so this sketch was perfect for me. I used papers and embellishments by doodlebug design from the "haunted manor" collection.

While out running errands today I had to take a detour and snap a photo of this beautiful tree. After too many days well into the 90's and to much humidity it is nice to have on a sweatshirt and to actually have to close the windows at night.

Thanks for stopping by to look and as usual your comments are always welcome.

happy - PP113

A quick card to share with you today that I created using the newest challenge over at the paper players.

For being a clean and simple challenge it sure took me a long time to make. I think this is the third one I made and finally decided this one was okay to submit.

I used papers and alpha stickers from the October Afternoon "cake walk" collection, the little enamel dots are by My Minds Eye. I have had this collection for about 4 months and just took my first cut into it.

Thanks for stopping by to visit.

so sweet - ftl208

A quick card for you today that I created using this weeks sketch over at Clean and Simple stamping.

I used papers and embellishments from the My Minds Eye - The Sweetest Thing "tangerine" collection.

Here is a little collage of Micah from this past weekend.

boo - rs#29

I spent the weekend watching Micah and Cassie while there parents got away for a couple days. Let me tell you I could not wait to get home to take a nap and then get some crafting done.

I love this weeks sketch over at retro sketches so just had to play along. I need a couple more Halloween cards for an order I am doing so thought this sketch would be perfect for that.

I used papers from the doodlebug collection "haunted manor" along with a recollections sticker from my stash.

Thought I would share a few photos from the weekend.

Here is a photo of Cassie after we went and got her eyebrows waxed for the first time and her hair styled for a birthday party she was attending later that night with her friends.

I love this one of Micah. He came out of his room with these goggles on and looking so serious. This little boy just makes my heart melt.

merry monday - sketch 32

Lesley created another fun sketch over at Merry Monday so I just had to play along again this week.

I used some new papers by Simple Stories on my card along with a vintage image from my stash.

Here is this weeks fabulous sketch.

Are you playing along this week? If you do let me know so I can come over and check out what you did with this great sketch.

Micah started pre-school this week so he can try and get over his shyness. He is getting so big I can't get over it. He always tells me "I am going to stay little forever". If only he could.

Thanks for stopping by.

Just a quick card to share with you that I created for the Paper Smooches Sparks Challenge

I used papers by Bella Blvd and Simple Stories along with Paper Smooches stamps from "falling for you" and "happy camper".

Yoga Yolanda

Sometimes you just see a stamp and know that it has to come home with you.

Meet Yoga Yolanda.

I went by Archivers yesterday to use my 43% off coupon.

I just love her and she reminds me of me. I am doing weight watchers right now and my next step is to add some exercising in the mix as I am stuck at the 50 lb. weight loss and want/need to lose more.

Thanks for stopping by to look.
