Keep Calm and Carry On

It is the first Monday of a new month and that means we are doing a color challenge over at Merry Monday. I used to shy away from color challenges, but no longer.

Here are the colors Lesley gave us to work with this week.

I just finished my card at the last minute as I have been struggling with these colors since I don't have the Stampin' Up papers or inks. Well I have to admit that I cheated a little bit. I went into the design team blog to see what the others had done and saw that one of the girls used ribbon for the pumpkin pie so I decided I would too.

Once that was settled my card came together rather quickly. I used papers from Vintage Christmas by My Minds Eye and this sweet snowman image by Tiddly Inks. I used the sketch from the Paper Players #49.

Make sure and stop over at the blog and see what the rest of the design team came up with this week.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me.

nothing more glorious

The cool temps here in Minnesota have me wanting to make fall and Christmas cards non-stop.

I created this card for Karen Giron's newest sketch using papers by Bo'Bunny from the "apple cider" collection along with stamps by Ali Edwards from the Studio AE collection.

Don't you just love this sketch? I definitely see myself using it more than once.

I am also entering this into the Inspired by challenge.

Thanks for stopping by my blog to visit and as always your comments are appreciated.

happy christmas

I have a quick card to share with you that I created for the sketch challenge over at Try Stamping on Tuesday. This is a new challenge blog for me. I saw the sketch and just knew I had to play along.

I used papers from the My Minds Eye "winter wonderland" collection along with some seam binding from my stash and sentiment is "jingle all the way" by Ali Edwards for Technique Tuesday.

Here is the sketch that inspired my card.

As always thanks for stopping by to look.

everyday holds...

It is another cold and blustery day here in Minnesota so I am hunkered down in my craftroom with my jammies on making cards and catching up on a couple movies I wanted to watch.

I created this card for the newest Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.

I used papers by My Minds Eye from the "Sweet Caroline" collection, the stamp is Technique Tuesday. I picked it up at Archivers for free, I had one of their 40% off coupons along with a spend $5 get $5 off coupon I found on the internet. You have to love a deal like that.

I am heading out of town tomorrow with Justin, Cassie and Micah to visit my sister up in Wahpeton, ND for a few days.

Enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by to visit!

celebrate this life

A quick card for you today that I created for the CAS-ual fridays challenge.

They are celebrating Mardi Gras and asked us to use ribbon on our card.

Whenever I think of ribbons I think of handmade flowers.
