I love the October Afternoon "thrift shop" line of papers and embellishments and thought it was perfect for the newest sketch over at CAS~tastic.

This is one of those sketches I can see myself using over and over again.

roses ~ happy birthday

Another beautiful day here in Minnesota and I am thinking I will go outside and tackle some of the weeds in my yard.

I have a couple cards to share with you first.

This card was inspired by this weeks sketch over at Sasya~Sketches and it gave me a chance to use some more of the wrinkle ribbon that I made last week and some of my new Webster Pages papers.

This next card is for the Mojo Monday challenge and this week we could choose whether to do a round or a square card..

I used more of the papers from the Webster Pages 6x6 papers and I tried making a rosebud using the PTI cream felt. I love how it turned out and I have to thank my friend Yvonne for showing me how to do this.

Here is the sketch I used for my inspiration.

Okay I am off to do a few chores out in the yard and then inside for lunch and for dessert some homemade peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream. Yummo!

I went scrapbooking at Archivers with my friend Tami the other day and she gave me one of cards from her last class to color and put together.

I finally finished up late yesterday while watching some crazy "SCARY" movie on Netflix. Yep, besides making cards and scrapbooking I love to watch scary movies. Some of my favorites are SAW and Chainsaw Masacre, but I have to admit I do close my eyes once in awhile.

I love these papers by Cosmo Cricket and they go so well with the little butterfly by Karen Lockhart.

Okay enjoy your day I am off to run some errands and grab a cup of coffee at Caribou. Yummy!

day at the park

It is a beautiful day here in Minnesota and not only is the temperature just perfect the humidty is really low too.

Sorry I didn't post a card or layout as promised yesterday, but my little mini book of Micah at the Park took a little longer than I expected.

Hope you enjoy this little mini book. I used Cosmo Cricket "little man" and "snorkel" papers, stickers, chipboard alpha, and elements.

I even made my first banners and placed them inside this book on a few pictures. Now I know why everyone is crazy about them as they really add a nice touch to the layout.

Happy Sunday! I had a great day yesterday at Archivers seeing old friends and meeting some new friends.

I even managed to get a few things done ~ in between the talking, eating, shopping, and more talking and eating.

I created the following layout for this weeks sketch challenge over at  The Scraproom Blog.

This was such a fun sketch to play with and I thought my October Afternoon papers were perfect. This is a picture of my son Justin and his fiance Melissa. I took the picture when we were up in Wahpeton, North Dakota visiting my oldest sister Sharon.

Now I have a card for you using this weeks card sketch at Twisted Sketches. I used some Neenah natural white cardstock, along with some Cosmo Cricket "material girl" paper, PTI "butterfly" die, and some A Muse "creative candy".

My last project I made while at Archivers is a little mini book  of Micah's first time at the lake. The entire family went along with his cousins who live in North Dakota. I think making mini books is my favorite way to scrapbook. Sorry I didn't take time to crop the photos.

Well that is it for me today ~ I will be back tomorrow with another card or two and maybe another layout.

A quick post to show the scrapbook layout I did last night using one of the old sketches from "Twisted Sketches".

I am having so much fun using these sketches for my layouts. The flowers were made using the newest PTI felt release called Ocean Tides and I thought it went so well with this October Afternoon paper.

Okay I need to get busy and pack my stuff and get out the door. Archivers here I come.

I never know how to title my post so these days I am just doing something from the title of the card or layout and when I have multiple pieces to share, you get  a little bit of a weird title ~ like the one above.

We had quite the storm last evening, everything from rain, to big bolts of lightning to 1" hail. At one point our sky was even pea green. I hate storms.

I have a few cards to share with you today and the first card is for this weeks challenge over at Taylored Expressions.

For the card above I  used some more of the BasicGrey "Olivia" papers. I hope you are not bored with this collection yet as you will probably see a lot of it in the coming days.  To shake things up a little my next cards will use the BasicGrey "Oliver" collection which is just as cute.

The monkey paper was just perfect for the challenge over at Clean and Simple Stamping.

My last card is for Pals Paper Arts which is a new blog challenge to me. I found it while blurfing today and thought I would give it a try. I did rotate the sketch just a little bit as you will see.

Don't you just love the train paper, journal card and the colors of this collection.

Well I will be back tomorrow with some scrapbook layouts I hope. I am planning on spending the entire day and evening at Archivers at their Scrap Mania. I haven't gone to one in ages and it is always fun to meet other scrappers and see what they are working on and exchanging ideas..

splash ~ more Olivia

This is my second post today and I wanted to share with you another  scrapbook layout I did of Micah and a card using the new BasicGrey line "Olivia".

For this layout I used some new papers that we got in at Anchor Paper they are by Imaginisce called "splash dance". I added a few BasicGrey buttons and some American Crafts "thickers".

I apologize for my photo I am trying to figure out how to photograph my layouts. This layout is for a new sketch challenge I found over at design dollies.

I also did a quick card using some of the BasicGrey "olivia" papers and "woolies" and the sketch challenge over at Mercy's "Tuesday Sketch Challenge".

hi ~ on the farm

It was the perfect summer day here in Minnesota today. I had a few errands to run and just spent some time enjoying the day.

I stopped in at Archivers to get the new BasicGrey 6x6 pads Olivia and Oliver and all I can say is they are too cute as is the Woolies for Olivia.

You know I had to try out my new stuff and I thought it went perfect with this weeks sketch challenge over at LimeLight Papercrafts. Besides the sketch the challenge was to use string or twine on your card instead of ribbon. I hope black floss counts as string or twine.

I also took a little time to watch a movie and do a scrapbook layout for the Design Team call over at Twisted Sketches.

And this is the sketch that inspired my layout.

For this layout I used Bazzill  and Neenah cardstock, Yellow Bicycle patterned papers, Jolee's embellishments, American Crafts "thickers", and handmade rosebuds.

If you have been reading my blog lately you know that I have been a maniac making card producing machine. lol

Well I have a few more to share with you today which will almost get me caught up.

I was so excited to finally find this hero arts stamp set at Anchor Paper when I worked last weekend. It has been on my wish list ever since I first saw it. I think it worked perfect with this sketch from Taylored Expressions and the Cosmo Cricket "material girl" papers.

This next card was a little harder to create than some of the others as I wanted it to have a masculine feel to it. Now that I look at it not sure if I pulled it off or not.

Don't you just love this sketch? It was this weeks challenge over at Card Patterns.

Now these last two cards that I am sharing are for challenges that have already expired but I wanted to share them with you anyways.

I just love this clean and simple sketch from CPS Sketches. I have already sent this card in the mail to a friend along with some of my handmade wrinkle ribbon.

And this one which is for last weeks challenge over at SSSC for this sketch I used my new stamp set from Skipping Stone Design. The set has several cute bras and some fun sayings.
