Joy ~ STS#8 take 2

We are at the halfway point for our sketch 8 challenge over at Seize the Sketch so you still have time to play along with us.

Our sketch for this challenge was created by Stacey

We are excited to be sponsored by Sweet N' Sassy Stamps! Each member of the team is using one of the cute digital stamps from Sweet n' Sassy, we also have some of their designers joining us for this challenge! Welcome ladies!

For my card this week I am using the Smiley Snowman image from the store.

I have used papers by Bo Bunny from the 'elf magic' collection along with some Thickers alpha letter for my sentiment. I colored the image with Copic markers and then added some glitter with my Wink of Stella glitter pen.

Don't forget to check out what the rest of the design team created for this challenge as well as our guest designers.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me. ~ hugs Sherry ~

love my hat

(this is my 2nd post for today, please scroll down for my Merry Monday post)

I love this months scrapbook sketch over at Artful Delight so just had to play along.

I love this sweet photo of Ryder. He has an obsession with hats and has quite the collection which I am sure you will see here over the next couple months.

I used papers, Mr. Hueys and wood veneers by Studio Calico, Thickers and some My Minds Eye enamel dots.

And here is that great sketch.

Happy & Sad ~ TPE33

(If you are looking for my Merry Monday post please scroll down or click here.)

It's a sketch challenge over at The Pink Elephant and I just had to play along as the pile of photos on my desk to be scrapped is the biggest I have ever seen it.

I used these two instagram photos of my great-nephew ACE aka Adrian along with papers and embellishments from the Amy Tangerine 'read set go' collection.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me.

beauty

There is a design team call over at Sketches in Thyme and I decide to apply for it.

We were given this great sketch to work with.

Here is my take on the sketch.

I used papers by doodlebug from the "boys only" collection along with alphas by Thickers and Jillibean.

The beautiful little boy is my great nephew Adrian.

Thanks for stopping by to look and keep your fingers crossed for me.

xo

A quick card for you today before I get busy and run some errands.

Paige is looking for cards with at least 6 hearts on them.

I knew as soon as I saw her challenge I had to play along. I had just bought some new thickers alphas and Martha Stewart Valentine tapes and my heart dies from PTI just arrived a few days ago.

I think I have at least 6 hearts on this card. *wink*

today you are you

I love this little quote on this cardstock embellishment by Authentique! It is a a quote by Dr. Seuss.

Today, you are you,
that is truer than true.
There is no one alive
that is youer than you.

This paper collection is called 'uncommon" and I just love the colors in it. Soft greys, pinks and cream.

I used this Twisted sketch for my card and don't tell anyone but I changed it up just a little.

I got in my PTI order yesterday and just had to play with my new stamps and onsie die so I used more papers from "uncommon" and also papers from "journey".

I see myself playing with this little die more and more just too cute.

Thanks for stopping by to look.
Enjoy!

outdoors

I don't know if I ever told you but Micah has a shoe fettish and has had one since he was really small. He loves to play with shoes and he knows exactly who's shoes are who's.

So you know I had to have a picture of his new red converse that I got him last Fall on one of our many playdates.

I wasn't sure if I was going to share this layout at first since I wasn't quite sure I liked the papers and color combo that I picked, but after staring at it for two days...I think I like it.

I used the February Guest DT sketch over at Sketchy Thursday for my inspiration.

This layout is my 3rd done so far and posted to my blog this year. It is for my resolution of posting one layout a week to get me motivated to scrapbook more in 2011. I have done several other pages too this year but I am only counting the ones that make it to my blog for this challenge to myself.

I will be back tomorrow with a card or two to share with you.

Enjoy!

hello there ~ monkey ~ hb2u

I never know how to title my post so these days I am just doing something from the title of the card or layout and when I have multiple pieces to share, you get  a little bit of a weird title ~ like the one above.

We had quite the storm last evening, everything from rain, to big bolts of lightning to 1" hail. At one point our sky was even pea green. I hate storms.

I have a few cards to share with you today and the first card is for this weeks challenge over at Taylored Expressions.

For the card above I  used some more of the BasicGrey "Olivia" papers. I hope you are not bored with this collection yet as you will probably see a lot of it in the coming days.  To shake things up a little my next cards will use the BasicGrey "Oliver" collection which is just as cute.

The monkey paper was just perfect for the challenge over at Clean and Simple Stamping.

My last card is for Pals Paper Arts which is a new blog challenge to me. I found it while blurfing today and thought I would give it a try. I did rotate the sketch just a little bit as you will see.

Don't you just love the train paper, journal card and the colors of this collection.

Well I will be back tomorrow with some scrapbook layouts I hope. I am planning on spending the entire day and evening at Archivers at their Scrap Mania. I haven't gone to one in ages and it is always fun to meet other scrappers and see what they are working on and exchanging ideas..

Have a great day!

hi ~ delovely

Okay fingers crossed this card posted as it was scheduled since I am in Eagan at the Garage Sale all weekend and not sure I will get a chance to check the blog until I get home on Sunday evening.

Oh how I love this "DeLovely" paper by Cosmo Cricket. So fun and so vintagey all at once.

My card for today was inspired by the new sketch challenge over at Skipping Stone Designs. Such a fun sketch and my card came together in no time. It took me longer to pick the paper combination than it did to make the card.
Hope you enjoy!

details:
paper: neenah (solar white linen) cosmo cricket (delovely)
accessories: american crafts (thickers) martha stewart (butterfly)

I actually got a few scrapbook layouts done today for Micah's book. This first one is for the challenge over at Pencil Lines.

I have to admit I love how this turned out. I used papers from the "beloved" collection by My Minds Eye. I added some handcut hearts, PTI buttons, a scrunchy flower, and "thickers" by American Crafts.
Enjoy!
