love ~ oxox ASC#40

I hope you aren't getting sick of seeing me using my Crate Paper 'love notes' collection. I created another Valentine card with it.

This was such a fun card to create with the slant in the paper, the stitching on two sides. As I was putting this together I was pretty sure the pinks in the paper matched the pink in the embellishments and now I am not so sure.

I used this months card sketch at Artful Delight for the inspiration behind my card.

Isn't that just a great sketch? It seems like forever since I played along with the girls here.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me.

four sisters ~ Artful Delight

Today is my last post over at Artful Delight as the guest designer.  I want to thank Leeanne and Debbie for letting me create with this months kit.

For my layout I used an old picture of me and my 3 older sisters taken the day before my younger sister was born. We lived in Northern California in a small town called Pollock Pines but this photo was taken at my Aunt and Uncles house in Placerville.

Everything on my layout except for the ink splatter is from the July Scrapbook kit.

I hope you will stop by the Artful Delight blog and say hi!

Family Memory ~ Artful Delight Guest Designer

Happy Sunday!

I am over at the Artful Delight blog today as their July Guest Designer.

I played with the July scrapbook kit once again and created this layout using a photo of my grandparents. I absolutely love the papers and embellishments in this kit.

Everything on my layout is from the kit except for the gold alpha stickers.

I hope you will stop over at the Artful Delight blog and say hi!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me.

hello you ~ Artful Delight Guest Designer

I won the scrapbook sketch challenge last month over at Artful Delight and they asked me to be this months Guest Designer. Of course I had to say yes.

This week I am using the July sketch challenge for my layout. This was a fun sketch to work with.

I am trying to be brave and include more photos of "me" in the scrapbooks even if I don't like how they turn out. Lots of sewing on this layout (don't look too close as I am not a straight stitcher).

Everything you see on my layout is from the kit except the paints I used to do the splatters. It is a great kit filled with a lot of stuff to play with.

I hope you will stop over at the Artful Delight Blog and leave me a comment.

I will be back every Sunday in July to share with you what I create with the kit.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me.

summer fun

A quick layout to share with you that I created for this months Scrapbook sketch challenge over at Artful Delight.

I used a picture of my two sweet great-nephews Adrian aka ACE and his little brother Ryder. Paper and chipboard are by Echo Park from the Lori Whitlock collection 'a perfect summer'. The base piece of paper is by Crate Paper from the Pier Collection, thickers by American Crafts.

Here is a closer look at the elements I used. I sewed 3 circles in white thread around the photo to replace the piece of card stock shown in the sketch. I am thinking I should have used a black or a navy blue thread so it would pop more.

our girl

I have a quick layout to share with you that I created using the May sketch over at Artful Delight. I am no longer on the DT but thought it would be fun to play along with them and use the scrapbook sketch for a baby album I am working on.

Love the sketch and had so much fun picking out papers to use. I used papers by Echo Park along with my paints for splatter.

Today I am sharing with you my final card as a member of the Artful Delight design team.

I want to thank Leanne and Debbie for letting me be a part of this team for the past 6 months I have really enjoyed getting to know everyone and making a few new blog friends.

I love the papers and embellishments that were included this month. Leeanne and Debbie always include so much stuff in the kit each month it is hard to pick what to use first.

I am loving this months card kit from Artful Delight and created this card using the washi tape that was included with the kit. Two of my favorite patterns and I added the sentiment, twine and wooden button all included in the kit.

This is the 3rd card that I have made with the kit and just can't seem to put it down.

introducing

A quick layout to share with you that I created of my new great niece Elsie Rae who was born on April 1st. Her Mom is my god-daughter.

I used this months sketch over at Artful Delight for the inspiration on my layout, along with papers and chipboard by Echo Park from the "bundle of joy" collection. The alphas are by Thickers and October Afternoon.

Sorry the photo isn't that great of my layout. The sun hasn't been out for days, just grey and dismal.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me.

belated birthday wishes

Have you entered the sketch challenge over at Artful Delight this month? If you haven't you still have time.

We have a great sketch for you to work with this month.

I used the stripe and floral papers from the kit and then added those big yellow flowers that are also in the kit. Such a quick and easy card thanks to this months sketch.

I can't wait to see what you do with our sketch.

29 again?

It's my day up on the Artful Delight blog and I am sharing a card I created using the March Card Kit.

I am totally loving that silver border that came in the kit along with all the paper flowers. Notice that beautiful damask on the big brad.

Another great kit. You can see all the ingredients in this months kit here on the Artful Delight blog.

let's celebrate

I know I say it every month but I just love the March Card kit from Artful Delight. This months kit contains two of my favorite things, Paper Smooches stamps and Washi Tape. Life doesn't get any better than that.

I used the wash tape to create the stripes on my card and then cut one of the flowers in the kit in half and adhered it to the card after stamping the sentiment multiple times. A very quick and easy card.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me.

happy birthday

(this is my 2nd post of the day, please scroll down for my post for The Pink Elephant Scrapbook Challenge)

It is a new month and with that comes a new card kit over at Artful Delight. If you haven't seen the March card kit let me show it to you.

Besides all the wonderful papers and embellishments you see here it also comes with a stamp set by Paper Smooches called "birthday sampler".

Since it is also a new month we have a new sketch for you to play with. I love the sketch, especially that big fishtail banner.

Here is my card using this months sketch. I created that flower using some of the flower diecuts from the kit and then I took one of the buttons from the kit and added one of the Teresa Collins enamel dots and added it on top. Love that you get a full set of those enamel dots as they are my latest addiction.

I will be back next Saturday with a new card using more of the goodies from this months kit.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me.

Today I am sharing with you my final card using this months card kit from Artful Delight.

Everything on the card is from the kit except the sentiment. I stamped on the black cardstock with versamark using the different flower stamps included in this months stamp set by Paper Smooches called 'bold blooms'. I love all the kraft labels that were included in the kit this month too.

I will be back next Saturday to show you the March kit.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me.

you add sunshine

Saturday and that means it is my day up on the Artful Delight blog.

Once again I have used this months card kit to create a card. I used the Paper Smooches 'bold blooms' stamp set that is in the kit to create this card. I used some of my ink pads along with some gems and twine from the kit and created a little spring card for you.

The sentiment is from my stash everything else is from the kit.

love my hat

(this is my 2nd post for today, please scroll down for my Merry Monday post)

I love this months scrapbook sketch over at Artful Delight so just had to play along.

I love this sweet photo of Ryder. He has an obsession with hats and has quite the collection which I am sure you will see here over the next couple months.

I used papers, Mr. Hueys and wood veneers by Studio Calico, Thickers and some My Minds Eye enamel dots.

And here is that great sketch.

Saturday, February 9, 2013

hello

It's my day up on the Artful Delight blog today and I have a card to share with you that I made using this months wonderful card kit.

Everything on my card is from the kit. I applied the butterfly sticker to a sheet of acetate and then cut it out to give it a little bit of stiffness so I could pop it up with some pop dots.

I know I say this every month, but this has to be one of my favorite kits.

Hope you will stop over at the blog and leave me a little bit of love.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me.
