back to school ~ BLD#54

Time for a new challenge at By LORi Designs and this week we want to see "back 2 school" projects.

For my card I used Lori's new image Puddle Jumper School Time Piper. I just think she is too cute for words. I colored her with Copic Markers and added some stripes to her socks with a Uniball gel pen.

The papers are from my scrap bin and were just perfect for my card.

Merry Monday #72

Lesley, over at Always Playing with Paper has a new Merry Monday sketch for all of us. This weeks is my favorite kind of sketch and quick and easy.

For my card I used my favorite paper collection from last year called 'Make it Merry' by October Afternoon.

This weeks new release is called Kangaroo Fun and for our challenge we want to see a ruffle on your card.

Time for a new sketch over at Seize the Sketch and this weeks sketch was designed by Cathy!

I must admit I had a hard time with this weeks sketch. Not sure why but it took me several cards and a few paper collections to finally come up with something I liked.

MM71 ~ Merry Christmas

Monday and time for a new sketch from Lesley over at Always Playing with Paper. I must admit this one was a little tricky and I saved it for last. I kept trying to decide what to use for the circles across the top. I started with snowflakes and then thought about buttons and in the end I just went with circles like the sketch shows.

For my card, once again I have used the City Sidewalks collection by Pink Paislee. I liked it because the ephemera pack came with all these different sized circles.

I can't wait to see what the rest of the design team does with this sketch. Make sure you stop over at the blog and see what the rest of the Merry Monday girls have created.

thinking of you ~ picked flowers

One great thing about Friday is that Tammy at A Day for Daisies has a new release for us and this weeks is just too cute for words.

Here is a look at a couple of the images from this weeks release called "picked flowers".

And here is the card I created using the "picked flowers" image. I love everything about this little lady, especially the flowers in her hair and those boots.

I used papers by My Minds Eye from the sweetest thing collection and the sentiment is by WPlus9.

Get Well

Just a quick card to share with you that I created for my sister Sharon.

I used Puddle Jumper Ella's umbrella image by LORi Designs. To give the card a little bit of dimension I printed out the image twice and cut out the boots and umbrella and adhered them with foam tape.

hello - ADFD

Friday and that means we are sharing more of the August Kit Club images with you and it is time for a challenge over at A Day for Daisies.

This week our challenge is to use an animal print on your card.

I used the image called 'sketchpad song bird' and for my animal print I used some vellum with feathers on it that I printed my image onto and then colored the back of the image with Copics. I added a few sequins and stamped the sentiment.

Happy Birthday Friends

 Today is my friend Amy's and Lesley's birthday. So I made a card to wish them both a  happy birthday. 

For my card I used some Solar White cardstock by Neenah and added some lines with my Score Buddy to create the background. I then stamped the Memory Box Happy Birthday Bkgd stamp with versamark and added white zing embossing powder. The flowers and leaves are also by Memory Box from the Fabulous Phlox die.

I hope you will stop over and wish them a Happy Birthday. Tell them Sherry sent you.

Merry Monday #69

It is the first Monday in August and the Merry Monday Challenge is back to our normal weekly sketches. Lesley, has a great sketch for us over at  Always Playing with Paper.

This was a fun sketch to play along with and those 3 circles have so many possibilities. I can't wait to see what everyone does with them. I of course saw snowflakes immediately when I looked at them.

I got to play with "love birds" this week.

I had so much fun creating my card this week. I used Hero Arts 'large lotus' stencil along with PTI newspaper print stamp background. I added a couple of layers to the flowers to make them pop on the card along with some of my hand-dyed ribbon.
