Java Love ~ Ai #151

We have a new challenge starting today over on the Art Impressions blog and we want to see your coffee themed cards. This can be anything coffee related.

For my card I took the quick and easy route.

This card was so simple to make and used just 4 things.  I took the Coffee Cup image and stamped it using versamark ink and sized it a little smaller than my 4" square card base. Next I stamped the thanks-a-latte sentiment from the Coffee Keeper set and popped it up with some foam tape. Added a few enamel dots and my card was complete.

We got our first snowfall here in Minneapolis yesterday and today. I have a love/hate relationship with it. 

I agree it is pretty but you get over that in about a minute.

Walking Polars ~ Ai Challenge #148

Couldn't sleep so got up early and watched some TV shows on Hulu and created this little card using one of the recent stamps that I picked up at Art Impressions.

Bananas Over You ~ Ai Zoo Babies Blog Hop

The Art Impressions design team is having a blog hop today to introduce some new Zoo Babies images.

If you are following along in hop order you should have arrived here from Sharon's blog. 

I was so excited to see that I got the Bananas Set Sku#4531 to play with.

As soon as I saw this cute little guy I knew that I was going to create a shaker card. I used a chipboard frame and put vellum on it and then added some sequins from my stash. I stamped the sentiment right on the frame.

Punkin Pie Set ~ Art Impressions

I am sharing a little Halloween treat container that I created using The Punkin' Pie Set that was just released.

Don't Sweat it!

Today I am sharing a card  along with the rest of the Art Impressions design team using one of the new Ai People images just released today.

This image is also perfect for our current challenge "Humourous/Punny" cards.

For my card I used Ai People Don't Sweat It! Sku#4528.

She was fun to color and then I applied my favorite technique which is paper piecing to complete her shirt, pants, wrist and headbands.

I am guessing if I were a runner I would probably look like this only a little more rounder around the edges.

Santa Note~Ables by Art Impressions

Today the Art Impressions design team is sharing cards using the new Note-Ables collection.

These new Note-Ables are perfect for our current "Fancy Folds" Challenge.

I used the Santa Note-Able (Sku#4512) for my card. The great thing about this new series is that you get 3 stamps to create the card.

The first stamp I used  is the Santa head that you stamp at the top of your card and then you cut out around the snowman leaving the bottom of the mittens and the beard attached to the card. (Do Not Cut out) 

Once you have that cut out then take an exacto knife and cut out just under the mittens so you create a little notch for the bottom of the card to fold up into.

When you open up the finished card you see that I have stamped the greeting at the top and then I stamped the candy canes onto a piece of scrap white card stock and colored it with red and grey copic markers. I then fussy cut it out and attached it to the bottom of the card using foam tape. Then I applied glossy accents to give it a little bit of shine.
