December Daily 2014 Day One - Day Twelve

For those of you that do a December Daily I thought I would share my album with you. I will break it up into a couple of post as it is photo heavy.

This year I used a WRMK gold instagram album with two different style pockets which were 4x4 in size. All pictures of my pages were taken with my iPhone so not as great as I wish they were but wanted to do a quick post.

I didn't use any kits for my album I just used product  I had in my stash. I have enough to do another 10 albums.

Intro Page

Day One

Day Two
We ended up with no snow on the ground Christmas Day and temps in the 30's which is unusual for us here in Minnesota.

Day Three
I included a small sequin pocket between the two layouts.

The other side under the sequin pocket.

Day Four

Day Five
Another pocket with lots of little goodies inside.

Day Six
Cookie day and also shows the back side of the pocket insert.

Day Seven

Day Eight
This page is opposite Day 7

In-between Day 7-8
Confetti pocket

Day Nine
I was out delivering cards for the Caring Hearts Project

Day Ten
Haircuts and a sequin pocket

Day Eleven
Hermey our Elf makes his first appearance

Day Twelve
Being Silly with my son using a phone app called "Santify"
This also has a 2.5" x 4" star insert

Day Twelve cont.
I created this glitter cut out using my silhouette
I didn't photograph it but I ended up putting a piece of antique music paper behind the word Christmas.

Okay, I will do another post tomorrow showing the rest of my December Daily.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me.

Merry Christmas ~ OCC Day 1

I am taking the Online Holiday Card Class and finally got my card done for day one.

I went ahead and created a card like Debbie showed us and it was using die cuts and the gold dipping that is so popular on Pinterest right now. We didn't actually dip the end of the tag, but it has the effect of it.

The class is also about creating multiples of one card.  I cut out enough pieces for 4 cards but so far this is the only one that is complete. Maybe tomorrow I will get to the rest of them.

Today's class was interactive cards so hoping to get a shaker card done in the next few days.

Are you taking the class? If so what was your favorite style from Day One?

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me.

Santa Note~Ables by Art Impressions

Today the Art Impressions design team is sharing cards using the new Note-Ables collection.

These new Note-Ables are perfect for our current "Fancy Folds" Challenge.

I used the Santa Note-Able (Sku#4512) for my card. The great thing about this new series is that you get 3 stamps to create the card.

The first stamp I used  is the Santa head that you stamp at the top of your card and then you cut out around the snowman leaving the bottom of the mittens and the beard attached to the card. (Do Not Cut out)

Once you have that cut out then take an exacto knife and cut out just under the mittens so you create a little notch for the bottom of the card to fold up into.

When you open up the finished card you see that I have stamped the greeting at the top and then I stamped the candy canes onto a piece of scrap white card stock and colored it with red and grey copic markers. I then fussy cut it out and attached it to the bottom of the card using foam tape. Then I applied glossy accents to give it a little bit of shine.

Here is a video by Kate showing you step by step instructions on using the Note-Ables in case you are a visual person like me.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and as always your comments are welcome and appreciated.

PoppyStamps ~ Christmas Tag Blog Hop

Today we are having a blog hop and each of the members of the PoppyStamps design team have created a Christmas Tag.

If you are following the blog hop you should have arrived here from Rudlis/Irena's blog.  You can get all the details including what candy we are giving away here.

Now let's see what I created for this hop!

For my tag I used the 'string of ornaments' die and cling stamp along with the 'may your holiday sparkle' cling stamp.

I colored the ornaments with copic markers and then added some glitter and glossy accents over them.

Your next stop on the blog hop should be Sherry Hester's blog. Make sure you start at the beginning and leave comments on all the designers blogs as well as the PoppyStamp blog as we have hidden 3 prizes along the way.

You have until December 8th to leave a comment for a chance to win and winners will be posted on the PoppyStamps blog on December 9th.

If you get lost along the way here is a full list of everyone in the hop.

the wish

Although it is too hot to think about Christmas here in Minnesota I have been working on my Christmas cards the past couple of days.

I used sketch #10 over at Merry Mondays for this card.

For my card I once again used October Afternoons papers and button from the "holiday style" collection along with some kraft cardstock and twine from my stash. Sentiment is an old Penny Black stamp.

The challenge over at Merry Monday for July is to use any sketch from this past year and create a card.

Here is the sketch I used for my inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by to look and I will be posting a couple more cards today for this challenge.

joy

This is my 2nd post today scroll down to see my TPE card.

I haven't played along at the Mojo Monday challenge for awhile and decided to do so today.

This is one of the new pure innocence digital stamps that I purchased recently and I thought it would be perfect with the new BasicGrey "jovial" papers and my handmade wrinkle ribbon.

I am really enjoying using the digital stamps and am trying to work on my coloring which I don't have down yet.

Here is the sketch that inspired my card and as you can see I altered the sketch just a little bit.

Okay, I hope you enjoy my card. Leave me a little blog love as you never know when I am goinng to sling out some of my handmade wrinkle ribbon again.

happy holidays

What a difference a day makes. Just a few days ago it was so hot up here in my craftroom that I couldn't stand it and now it is cold enough to shut the windows. I love this kind of weather and am so happy that Fall will be here before we know it.

I have a card to share with you today using the practicing creativity sketch provided by Dana. This weeks challenge was to pick one of the Design Team members sketches to work with and I picked the one from Dana.

Friday I met my friend Tami at Archivers for a day of scrapbooking/cardmaking fun and while I was there I picked up the new BasicGrey "jovial" paper pad and "woolies". Then we did a quick trip to JoAnn's to pick up the new BasicGrey embossing folders by Sizzix. The one in the picture is called "snow flowers".  Of course I had to add some of my new wrinkle ribbon that I made last weekend.

Here is the sketch that inspired my card.

I love the simplicity of this sketch and know that I will use it over and over. If you have time I hope you will play along.

Enjoy!

christmas ~ mine

Today I have a card and a layout to share with you. I was beginning to think that I had lost my MoJo but it looks like it is slowly coming back.

My card is for this weeks challenge over at Card Patterns and I decided to make another Christmas Card using more of my Memory Box "mistletoe" papers.

Such a fun sketch to play with and I am sure I will be using this one over and over again.

Next up I have a layout that I did. I am trying to get caught up on some of the older pictures of Micah that I have so I can play with some more of the newer ones.

This layout is for the Twisted Sketches challenge and the twist this week was "ROUGH" anyway anyhow. I roughed mine up by adding sandpaper to the photo and to the letters and then put some distress ink on top.

Okay, that is it for me. Hope you enjoy!
