Hello Friend ~ STS27

Time for the final sketch over at Seize the Sketch and this week our sketch was created by Cathy.

Another simple sketch which is my favorite kind.

For my card I used papers by Doodlebug Design from the Take Note collection along with a Heidi Swapp butterfly that was sitting on my desk, a Studio Calico flair from a Project Life kit and stickers by Dear Lizzy.

I hope you will stop by the Seize the Sketch blog and check out what the rest of the design team created.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me.

Joyful ~ STS5

I have a quick card to share with you that I created using this weeks Seize the Sketch

Sorry I didn't know those gold Dear Lizzy stickers wouldn't photograph very well so here is another photo showing them without the glare.

Here is our current sketch you still have one week to play along and this week we are sponsored by Timeless Twine so stop over at the blog and get all the details.

Oh Snap - BLD

Tuesday and time for some inspiration from the By LORi Designs design team.

For my card I picked one of my favorite images called 'Pedal Pusher Camera Cate'. I just think she is too cute.

Make sure you stop over at the BLD blog and check out what the rest of the design team has come up with today to inspire you.

bunny love

Friday and that means a new release from Tammy over at A Day for Daisies. This week is all about bunnies and flowers. I got to use 'bunny in a daisy' image.

This is the first card I have made in 3 weeks since I got hit with that nasty cold/flu bug that was going around. So happy that I was ahead on all my design team commitments.

I used papers from the Dear Lizzy 'lucky charm' collection and some of my handmade crinkle ribbon.

Make sure to stop over at the ADFD blog and check out all of this weeks new images along with what the rest of the design team created.

hello - SS147

This week at Sentimental Sundays we are being sponsored by Meljen Designs and our challenge is we want to see stitching either real or faux on your cards.

The design team was given some adorable images to pick from and I picked Peter Bunny to work with this week.

My stitching is between the two different pattern papers. I just realized you can't really see it unless you look really closely, but it is there.

Papers and embellishments on my card are from the Dear Lizzy 'lucky charm' collection.

I hope you will play along with us this week and make sure to go over to the blog and check out what the rest of the design team created this week.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me.

lucky me

A quick card to share with you that I created before I got sick with some kind of cold/crud that is going around.

This is my second card using this weeks sketch challenge over at Seize the Birthday.

It is a great sketch and I see myself using it more in the future.

happy birthday

A quick card to share with you that I created for the 'keep it simple' challenge this week.

This weeks challenge was to use a frame on your card. I dug through my stash and found a chipboard frame that I have sitting on my desk for at least six months. I paper pieced it with some paper and chipboard from the dear lizzy '5th and frolic' collection and stamped the happy birthday in the center. I used my score buddy and did some lines around the framed piece.

I really like how it turned out and so happy I kept that frame on my desk and didn't throw it out.

Peeking Posies - FMS59

I don't know about you but I love paper piecing and fussy cutting.

I used papers from the newest Dear Lizzy collection "5th & Frolic", along with my all time favorite Hero Arts stamp set called 'peeking posies", and a Tim Holtz embossing folder. I bought this stamp back in early 2006 and to this day it is still one of my favorites.

I am entering this card into this weeks challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches.

a very happy

I spent a couple hours yesterday making these fun loopy flowers that my blog friend LeAnne showed me how to make.

Aren't those flowers just the cutest thing ever and they take like less than 2 minutes to make.

I used this weeks challenge over at Freshly Made for the inspiration on my card layout.

I chose to go straight across the top row for my card and use brads (I subbed crystals as I don't own any brads), Pink and Flowers. Did you notice the stitching on the card? I have moved my sewing machine closer to my work area and hope to be using it more and more in the coming weeks.

Thanks for stopping by to look.

enjoy your...

I just love the papers in the dear lizzy "neapolitan" collection and knew I wanted to use them along with my newest PTI purchase called "beautiful butterflies".

I used the newest sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches for the inspiration behind my card.

Isn't that just a perfect sketch? Does it make you want to play along with me? If it does please leave me a comment and let me know.

your love fills my heart

I played with a few more of the items I picked up at Archivers yesterday and created this card.

I used papers by Dear Lizzy from the "neapolitan" collection, sentiment is a Technique Tuesday stamp by Ali Edwards. I created the flower by cutting a square and then rolling it to form the flower, leaves are Spellbinders "foliage" dies and the butterfly is a Martha Stewart punch.

I used CPS sketch 136 for my inspiration on the card.
