Merry Monday 100

I don't normally play along with color or inspiration challenges because frankly they scare me.

But when I saw this weeks sketch and color challenge over at Merry Monday I just had to play along.

Here is my card.

I finally inked up this sweet bunny stamp that I bought before Christmas. Isn't he the cutest thing. I think I got him from Purple Onion.

oh shoot ~ fms127

(this is my second post for today, scroll down for some exciting news)

I love a clean and simple sketch and I found the perfect one at Freshly Made Sketches this week.

I still had this Amy Tangerine paper on my desk from a card I did earlier and thought the camera theme was perfect for the sentiment.

I am still in my honeymoon stage with Vellum and embossing powders so they too were my go to items on this card. Add a little wood veneer and I am one happy camper.

itsy bitsy

My great-nephew Ryder loves to do the hand movements when he hears the song "the itsy bitsy spider", so these are a few shots his Mom took while she was singing the song to him.

I am entering this layout into this weeks challenge over at The Pink Elephant and this weeks challenge is a recipe challenge.

Ingredients:
3 photos (check)
buttons (check)
flowers (kinda check)

After I picked my pictures and created my layout I realized I needed flowers on my page. Well this isn't really a girl layout so I added one little purple flower to the heart. I hope that counts. My button is actually a flair badge/button.

This is the last week for entries if you want to be on the design team so hopefully I will know if I made it in the next couple weeks. Wish me LUCK!

recipe:
papers: amy tangerine (ready set go)
misc: memory box (hexagon die), american crafts (thickers), washi tape (downtown tapes), amy tangerine (ready set go chipboard), darcie (flair badge), amy tangerine (roller date stamp)

thankful

This cold I have is totally kicking my butt the last couple days, but has not stopped me from getting a little bit crafty.

I picked up a new Kelly Purkey stamp set exclusive to Simon Says Stamp and could not wait to ink it up.

I used papers by Amy Tangerine from the "ready set go" collection along with that new stamp set. I did lots of stamping along with some fussy cutting.

This weeks sketch over at Skipping Stones Design was just perfect.

You know me and I love a good sketch challenge.

I woke up very early today and got some great news in an email and although I can't share it with you now I will in a few weeks.

hello

A quick card to share that I created while watching Season 1 of LUTHER. If you are a fan of Dexter you will love this one too.

I used papers from the new Dear Lizzy by American Crafts, a polaroid frame and a button and twine from my stash.

I used the sketch over at Skipping Stones Design for inspiration.

Another quick card to share with you that I created using my new Dear Lizzy collection by American Crafts. I absolutely love this paper and chipboard collection so plan on seeing it a lot around my blog.

I also did a little bit of stitching and added a couple Martha Stewart butterflies along with some My Minds Eye enamel dots.

I used this weeks sketch over at Freshly Made for the inspiration on my card layout.

welcome home

Another quick card to share that I created using 5th & Frolic by American Crafts for  Dear Lizzie.

I used the sketch here for my inspiration.

your heart will lead you home

While blurfing the other day I came across a new challenge blog called Fab Friday and just had to play along.

I used some new papers and chipboard pieces from the 5th & Frolic line by American Crafts for Dear Lizzy. I just love the patterns and colors in this paper line. Don't look to closely at my stitching on the card as I am a lead foot and therefore stitch a little bit wonky. Hoping to be a pro once I practice a little bit more.

Here is this weeks awesome sketch over at Fab Friday.

joy

The weather here has cooled down a little bit today and I don't even think we got up to 45 degrees today. Perfect weather to work on the Merry Monday challenge.

Once again I pulled out my October Afternoon "holiday style" papers, along with some BasicGrey "woolies" from the "eskimo kisses" collection, alpha stickers by Creative Imaginations and a flair flatback button by American Crafts.

Here is the sketch that inspired my card.

Are you playing along each with at Merry Monday? If you are let me know so I can stop by and check out your card.

Thanks for stopping by and as always your comments are appreciated.

goof ball

I think my great-nephew Adrian has to be one of the silliest kids I have ever met.

I created this layout for the newest challenge over at the Scraproom Blog.

Love this sketch with all the different backround pieces and the circles. I used papers from the Bella Blvd., "sunshine happiness" collection and thickers by American Crafts.

I want to wish all of you a Happy Easter.

stop and ...

I saw this weeks sketch over at Sketchy Thursdays and knew I wanted to play along this week and actually post a picture of my finished piece. A lot of times I do the sketch for the week and just don't post it. I guess you could say I am layout shy. :)

Here is a look at this weeks sketch.

Don't you just love it? I was almost scared off by the sewing on  this piece but grabbed my machine and went with it. I am a beginner when it comes to sewing so I apologize if the lines are not that straight.

Thanks for stopping by to look your comments are appreciated and wanted.

I have a quick card to share with you today that I made for the newest challenge over at the My Minds Eye blog.

Here is the sketch that I used for my inspiration.
