some good news

You should have arrived here from Kadie's blog.

I have some good news to share today. Arielle and Tammy have invited me to join the design team again over at A Day For Daisies. I have to say that I am so excited to be working with this talented group of women and Tammy's digital images are amazing.

Since it is the first Friday of the month wee have a new CLUB KIT and we are kicking it off with a mini hop.

One lucky person will win the whole release. There are 3 ways to enter the drawing.

1. Comment on all the designers blogs & leave a comment on the ADFD Club Kit blog post
2. Become a new follower of ADFD's blog or mention the hop on your blog!
3. Like ADFD on Facebook or share the link on your FB page!

For any of the above things, you will get one entry. Leave a separate comment letting us know which of these you did on this blog post.

Here is the entire November Kit Club release.

Here is my card using one of this months new release images.

I got to work with the image called "umbrella dreams". Isn't it just adorable? I did lots of fussy cutting on this image and paper pieced the umbrella and the dress.

I used papers and washi tape by My Minds Eye from the Lost and Found 3 collection called "oliver".
Your next stop on our Mini Hop is Alice.

I am entering this card in this weeks sketch challenge over at Skipping Stones Design.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me.

be jolly

Don't you just love it when the minute you see a sketch you know exactly what you are going to do with it?

Such was the case when I saw this weeks sketch over at Skipping Stones Design.

The ornament and holly on my card are dies from PaperTrey Inc., as is the red and green inks, the papers are by doodlebug designs from the "north pole" collection, sentiment stamps are by Paper Smooches.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me.

thankful

This cold I have is totally kicking my butt the last couple days, but has not stopped me from getting a little bit crafty.

I picked up a new Kelly Purkey stamp set exclusive to Simon Says Stamp and could not wait to ink it up.

I used papers by Amy Tangerine from the "ready set go" collection along with that new stamp set. I did lots of stamping along with some fussy cutting.

This weeks sketch over at Skipping Stones Design was just perfect.

You know me and I love a good sketch challenge.

I woke up very early today and got some great news in an email and although I can't share it with you now I will in a few weeks.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me. ~ hugs Sherry

hello

A quick card to share that I created while watching Season 1 of LUTHER. If you are a fan of Dexter you will love this one too.

I used papers from the new Dear Lizzy by American Crafts, a polaroid frame and a button and twine from my stash.

I used the sketch over at Skipping Stones Design for inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today and leaving me your comments. It really means a lot to me. ~ hugs Sherry

smile

Oh I am definitely smiling as it is finally starting to cool off here in Minnesota and we can shut off the air conditioners and open up the windows.

A quick card that I created to the newest sketch over at Skipping Stones Design.

I used papers and stickers from the pebbles "sunny side" collection.

Thanks for stopping by to look and as always your comments are appreciated.

call me loopy

Yep, another card with those great loopy flowers that I just learned how to make. Thanks LeAnne!

I needed a card for my sister TerryLee as her birthday is early next week so when I saw the latest sketch over at Skipping Stones Designs I knew I had found the perfect one.

Don't you just love that sketch? I know I will be using it more and more in the future.

For my card I used a Kraft cardbase, papers from the Echo Park "this & that" Graceful collection, felt flower is made by me and the sentiment is PTI.

It is going to be another great day here in Minnesota and I am planning on spending a little time outside today working in the yard.

Thanks for stopping by.

happy holidays

I just realized I need to get busy and start working on my holiday cards. I looked at my stash and I could count the number of cards completed so far on one hand.

I used this weeks Skipping Stones Design Sketch as an opportunity to start working on them.

I used papers and stamps by My Minds Eye from the "lost and found Christmas" collection. I love the fact that they create stamps for all their paper collections and at a reasonable price. Usually less than $6 at my LSS.

Here is the sketch that I used for inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by to look.

hello ~ it's a jolly holiday

(this is my 2nd post today)

I decided to play along with this weeks challenge over at Skipping Stones as I loved the sketch.

I used papers by lily bee design from the this & that collection and rub-ons by Paper Smooches from EAD.

I don't know what happen but when I applied the rub-on to this paper and lifted it off it pulled off part of the paper. I have never had this happen before so am sure it is caused by the paper. I kind of like how it looks so I left as is.

Next up is the card I did for this weeks sketch challenge over at Jingle Belles and I used some papers out of my last years Christmas stash by Websters Pages "holiday collection" along with a K&Co. grand adhesion. The image is from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by to look ~ hope you enjoy!
