you take the cake

I have a quick card to share with you today.

I created it for the latest Deconstructed Sketch using papers by My Minds Eye from the Lime Twist collection along with stickerz by EAD Designs.

Here is the sketch that inspired my card.

Okay, that is all from me today as it is WAY to hot to be in my upstairs craftroom with this heat and humidity that we are having.

Thanks for stopping by.

gracias

I was up earlier than normal this morning and decided to make a card or two before the rest of the family woke up.

I used one of the new My Minds Eye paper pads that I picked up at Homegoods last week called "darling dear" from the six by six collection along with some EAD vinyl rubons by Paper Smooches that have been in my stash for about a year. I decided to put lots of them as my main focal point of the card.

I used this weeks sketch over at Clean and Simple Stamping as my inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today and as usual your comments are welcomed and appreciated.

kraft challenge

I have another card for you today that I made for the friendly challenge that Amy and I are doing this week.

After making this card I realized why I don't stamp that often.

I used my new PTI stamp set "rosie posie" along with EAD stickerz and button and twine from my stash.

For inspiration I used this weeks sketch over at Freshly Made.

Thanks for stopping by to look.

I used two of Lori Boyd's latest creations on my card you can see all of her new releases here.

I got the inspiration for my card from this weeks Card Patterns Sketch. Papers are by Echo Park from the Dots and Stripes collection.

hello ~ it's a jolly holiday

(this is my 2nd post today)

I decided to play along with this weeks challenge over at Skipping Stones as I loved the sketch.

I used papers by lily bee design from the this & that collection and rub-ons by Paper Smooches from EAD.

I don't know what happen but when I applied the rub-on to this paper and lifted it off it pulled off part of the paper. I have never had this happen before so am sure it is caused by the paper. I kind of like how it looks so I left as is.

Next up is the card I did for this weeks sketch challenge over at Jingle Belles and I used some papers out of my last years Christmas stash by Websters Pages "holiday collection" along with a K&Co. grand adhesion. The image is from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by to look ~ hope you enjoy!

bloom brightly

I received an email from my friend Amy yesterday saying she thought one of my handmade blooms would be perfect for the sketch over at CPS well you know that was all I needed to get me creating a card.

I had just finished making about 10 new blooms using lots of fun fabric scraps that my bff Judy gave to me last weekend.

I just love the pink color of the bloom and it goes so well with those Memory Box "pixie" papers and hot pink Esse cardstoc. The sentiment is a vinyl rub-on by EAD and the ribbon is by May Arts.

Here is the sketch that inspired my card. (thanks Amy)

Stop back tomorrow as I will have a couple new cards to share with you.

Enjoy!

brrrrrrrrr

It is freezing here in Minnesota and without the windchill the temp is -12 degrees fahrenheit. I am so ready for Spring.

I was telling my friend Amy how much I love the EAD vinyl rub-ons and she told me about today's challenge where if you enter a card you get 25% off your purchase...so I had to create a card.

This week it is a color challenge and we were to use Olive, Ivory, Chestnut and Gold. I knew that my BasicGrey "curio" papers should have most of those colors and then I dug through the fabric scraps my friend Judy gave me last weekend and found this gold and brown fabric to make a flower.

Next up I have a layout to share with you that I created using the Sketchy Thursday sketch from last week. Yep, last week! I missed the deadline by one day. I still had to share it as I am on a mission to complete at least one layout a week this year.

I took these photos of Micah last fall on one of our fun play dates. I also took about another 50 photos and was going to create a mini book, but decided to just put the other photos into 4x6 sleeves and put them inside his 12x12 scrapbook along with this layout.

Hope you Enjoy!

hello

I have another quick card to share with you today.

I created this card for the wee memories "dust off your scraps" challenge. Who doesn't have lots of scraps laying around? I am also entering this in the "speedy the cat's friends" challenge which is to create a card using a homemade flower. The flower was created using some white muslin.

Paper scraps are from my Memory Box "brioche" collection, the rub-on is by EAD, and twine is from The Twinery.

Enjoy!

and the mojo continues...

As I said in my post yesterday I seem to have gotten my mojo back and here are a couple more cards that I created the other day.

This first card was created for the challenge over at Get Sketchy GS72. You can't see my cardstock panel too well due to the lighting but I used my scorepal to create lines like on the sketch below. I used another one of my satin bloom flowers and the sentiment is a rub-on by pebblesinc.

My next card is for the sketch at Clean and Simple and I used some old papers by basicgrey from the "boxer" collection. The sentiment is a vinyl rub-on by EAD designs that was a gift from Amy and to finish off the card I used some of my handmade wrinkle ribbon.

That's it for today.
Enjoy!
