I feel like I am losing a friend this week, Sketchy Thursday announced that they would be shutting down after this weeks sketch.

I have enjoyed doing their sketches as well as looking at all the weekly inspiration that the design team/teams have provided over the past 3 years.

I apologize for the bad picture today it is grey and dreary outside which means the house is darker than normal.

movies and cards

I spent last night watching movies and making cards and wanted to share a couple of them with you today.

This first card was created for a new challenge I found called cards & things challenges. I liked the sketch and had my card planned as soon as I saw it.

I used the Hero Arts "large blossom" cling stamp along with ranger distress inks, glossy accents, proterra kraft cardstock, a PTI sentiment and SU border punch.

Here is the sketch that inspired my card.

My next card was created using this weeks sketch from Get Sketchy and the leftover scraps of paper on my desk. Papers are by Little Yellow Bicycle from the "Twig" collection. I also used my new Tim Holtz rosette die, SU leafy branch die, American Crafts thickers and PTI sentiment.

And this is the sketch that I got my inspiration from.

So do you have any plans for the weekend? My plans are to just hang out at home, catch up on some stuff around the house (like floors and toilets) and then play in my craftroom some more.

I have two quick cards to share with you today before I head out to work at Anchor Paper Express.

My first card is for this weeks sketch at Clean and Simple Stamping. I have once again used papers, chipboard stickers and journaling cards from the Twig collection by Little Yellow Bicycle.

My next card is for this weeks Get Sketchy challenge . For my card I used papers and buttons by My Minds Eye from the "fine and dandy" collection.

and the mojo continues...

As I said in my post yesterday I seem to have gotten my mojo back and here are a couple more cards that I created the other day.

This first card was created for the challenge over at Get Sketchy GS72. You can't see my cardstock panel too well due to the lighting but I used my scorepal to create lines like on the sketch below. I used another one of my satin bloom flowers and the sentiment is a rub-on by pebblesinc.

My next card is for the sketch at Clean and Simple and I used some old papers by basicgrey from the "boxer" collection. The sentiment is a vinyl rub-on by EAD designs that was a gift from Amy and to finish off the card I used some of my handmade wrinkle ribbon.

I have a couple of cards for you today and they both use one of the new digi stamps by LORi designs "introducing lollipop Kaylee".

My first card is for this weeks sketch challenge over at Get Sketchy. I haven't played along with them for awhile but could not resist this weeks sketch. I decided to keep my card pretty simple and just emboss my paper, cut out a border and then along with the image I added some of my handmade wrinkle ribbon in grass green.

And here is the sketch that inspired my card. I apologize that the picture is not the greatest it is real gray and dull out and I can't get a shot. This will probably happen most of the winter months here in Minnesota.

My next card also used Lollipop Kaylee by LORi designs and my card is for Tracy's challenge over at Eat Sleep Stamp . This card uses a Sizzix embossing folder along with some BoBunny papers.

My card was inspired by this sketch.

congrats ~ peaceful ~ joy

I have been making cards and have a  few cards that I can share with you today. The others will be shared with you next week for my design team obligations.

This first card uses another of those fabulous Lori Boyd digital images "baby kate" and she is available through Claudia and Company. I used her for the challenge over at "a crafty little place" and this weeks challenge was to use a manilla tag on your card or layout.

For this card I used some scraps of baby papers that I had in my baby girl file, white wrinkle ribbon, basicgrey buttons, amd may arts ribbons.

My next card is for this weeks challenge over at Get Sketchy. They are having a DT call right now.

For this card I used some of my "mistletoe" collection from Memory Box, tiny type stickers from Cosmo Cricket, SU bird punch, and button from PTI.

And here is the sketch that inspired my card.

My last card is for the challenge over at CCEE this was another fun challenge and I decided to do another Holiday card.

I used the memory box "mistletoe" collection for this card too, along with a PTI die, A Muse stamp, and some kaisercraft pearls.

Okay, I am heading out of my craftroom and down into the air conditioned part of the house. I am so ready for cooler fall like weather.

Saturday Continued - Get Sketchy #3

I have decided I wasn't in the mood to mop floors and clean toilets today so have just had a lazy day in my craftroom playing with papers and trying to be creative. I decided to have a go at the sketch over at Get Sketchy.

They always seem to have a fabulous sketch for us to interpret and then create something and the design team always comes up with some great inspiration to get us started. My card today was a chance to use my Memory Box papers that are quickly becoming a favorite thanks to my friend Tami. This is the new holiday "spiceberry" papers. You can bet I will be using these on my holiday cards this year and maybe even a mini event holiday book or two.

I added a photo from my collection of Christmas photos, some BasicGrey ribbon, a Tim Holtz tag, a making memories finding with mini buttons attached on the ribbon. I distressed the edges of all the papers with chestnut roan chalk ink and figured my card was complete. Hope you enjoy~
