Thinking of You ~ STS25

It is once again time for a new sketch over at Seize the Sketch and this weeks sketch is brought to us by Mona.

This was a fun sketch to play along with and I used papers, chipboard and stickers from the Pebbles 'Garden Party' collection.

My card came together really quick using all the premade embellishments.

I hope you will stop over at the STS blog and check out what the rest of the design team created.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me.

merry monday #13

I have a card to share with you that I created for the Merry Monday July challenge. The challenge for the whole month of July is to use any previous sketch.

So I pulled out my Christmas container of papers and embellishments along with my drawer full of Christmas stamps. It is so nice to have all these in one place when I want to create a Christmas card.

I used papers from the My Minds Eye "lost and found christmas" collection along with a Unity Stamp called "a beautiful sight",  sentiment is a rub-on by pebbles, button is from my stash.

I colored the image with memento rich cocoa ink along with my green and yellow acrylic paint daubers by ranger.  If you haven't tried using acrylic paints on your stamps I definitely recommend trying it. You get such a nice texture on the image.

Here is the sketch that inspired my card today.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I will definitely have more of these holiday cards to share with you since it is our chance to use our favorite sketches. I think I have 6 sketches picked out to use this month.

washi ~ washi

I just love washi tape lately and as soon as I saw the sketch over at Techno Stamper I knew I was going to use it again.

I place washi tape on my chipboard before I cut out these heart images. The sentiment is a rub-on by Pebblesinc.

Here is the sketch I used for inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by to look I appreciate your comments.

Enjoy!

lazy day

I think it is going to be one of those lazy days here at my house so I started my day with catching up on a couple of shows on Hulu and making cards.

This card was created for this weeks challenge over at Clean and Simple and the challenge was to use one of our label dies on the card. Surprise, Surprise I had not used this new one from PTI yet.

Along with the label die from PTI I also used the butterfly die and sentiment by them. The papers are some that I picked up at Archivers' yesterday. These happen to be from the Stella and Rose collection by MME and the papers are called Hazel.

This is the sketch that inspired my card. Don't you just love this sketch? I had fun working with it.

Next up is a card I created for the challenge over on the Cards blog and this weeks challenge was to use Washi tape on your card. Well I had bought this Washi tape last Summer and had not used it yet, so this was the perfect challenge for me.

Along with the Washi tape I used a button by BasicGrey, clear flower by Heidi Swapp and the sentiment is a rub-on by Pebblesinc.

Enjoy!

and the mojo continues...

As I said in my post yesterday I seem to have gotten my mojo back and here are a couple more cards that I created the other day.

This first card was created for the challenge over at Get Sketchy GS72. You can't see my cardstock panel too well due to the lighting but I used my scorepal to create lines like on the sketch below. I used another one of my satin bloom flowers and the sentiment is a rub-on by pebblesinc.

My next card is for the sketch at Clean and Simple and I used some old papers by basicgrey from the "boxer" collection. The sentiment is a vinyl rub-on by EAD designs that was a gift from Amy and to finish off the card I used some of my handmade wrinkle ribbon.

That's it for today.
Enjoy!

ss#42

I have a quick card to share with you today for the newest challenge over at Sasya's Sketches.

For my card I used some of my handmade wrinkle ribbon along with a doily from SEI, feltie bloom from Pebblesinc., and my all time favorite Cuttlebug embossing folder.

My clean and simple card was inspired by this sketch. I definitely am a fan of CAS sketches.

I hope you will take time to play with us during this busy time of year.
Enjoy!

merry christmas ~ twisted sketches

I have a quick card to share with you and this one is for Twisted Sketches and this weeks twist is to use brads on your card.

For this sketch I used papers by Cosmo Crickets "mitten weather". The snowflakes are silver brads that I painted white and then before they were dry I sprinkled glitter on them. The sentiment is a pebblesinc., rubon.

happy holidays

Another quick card for you since I am still out of town visiting family.

This card is for the new challenge over at Techno Stamper and it is a sketch challenge.

For my card I used papers from Little Yellow Bicycle along with my BasicGrey embossing folders by Sizzix. Notice how the little tree on my card matches the embossing folder. I love that BasicGrey got Sizzix to make embossing folders to match last years holiday papers. I added some pom-pom ribbon and rubon by pebblesinc..

Enjoy!

Mojo Monday 157 ~ happy birthday

I noticed that I have been making a lot of birthday cards lately. Not sure why but that seems to be the trend for the last 4 or 5 cards I have made.

I haven't played along with the Mojo Monday sketch in awhile and wanted to join in this week once I saw the sketch. I knew that my new "wanderer" papers and "woolies" by BasicGrey would be the perfect fit.

Hope you enjoy!

happy birthday dooderbug (aka cassie jo)

Happy Birthday Cassie!

It looks like it is going to be a beautiful day here in Minnesota and I have a couple of things to share with you today. The first is a layout I did of Cassie from her birthday party yesterday.

And this is a close up of the flower I made using PTI felt in Raspberry Fizz. Love the combination of pink and yellow in the Cosmo Cricket "DeLovely" collection.

I got my inspiration for this layout from the newest sketch over at Pencil Lines.

Now I have a card to share with you and it is for this weeks challenge over at CPS.

This is another one of the new papers from We R Memory Keepers called Vintage Blue that I picked up this past week. I love the colors in it.

I hope you have a great day and I will be back tomorrow with something new from Project Tuesday and you still have time to enter my wrinkled ribbon give away as I won't pick the winner until tomorrow morning.

Enjoy!

one of those days!

Did you ever have one of those days where you had plans to do a lot of things and when it was all said and done, you didn't hardly make a dent in the to-do list?

Today was one of those days. I had plans to go and spend the day scrapbooking and ended up doing everything but that.

I do have some cards to share with you. this first one is for the challenge at Eat, Sleep, Stamp and for this card I used another new pure innnocence set that I bought at the last MFT release party. I also used some October Afternoon "thrift shop" papers.

My next card is for cardabilities sketch #7 ~ my friend Amy just made the design team over there and this is her first week doing the challenge with the rest of the team. For this card I used some new papers that I picked up at Archivers yesterday called So Sophie by My Mind's Eye. I love the fun colors.

My last card is for Clean and Simple Stamping and for this one I used a new stamp by Hero Arts called "elegant weeds" and some of my handmade wrinkle ribbon.

I will try and post a layout or two tomorrow as my friend Amy has challenged me to a scrapbook layout challenge.

Enjoy!

finally friday ~ let the crop begin

It is finally friday and I am planning on heading over to Archivers today to do some serious scrapbooking. Sometimes it is fun to get out of your normal space and go to a new one. I like going and meeting new people as well as sharing ideas.

First I have a couple cards to share with you and I apologize for the lighting as it is kind of early and the sun isn't all the way up yet.

This first card is for the challenge over at EBTKS and it is my first time doing this challenge. I love the clean and simple sketch.

I used some of my handmade wrinkle ribbon along with my swiss dots embossing folder. That fun little oval is from October Afternoon label stickers and the sentiment is from pebblesinc.

This next card is for the challenge over at CCEE and it is another simple sketch. I have used my new Websters Pages papers on this card along with a Hero Arts stamp.

Enjoy your day and I will be back tomorrow with a card and maybe a layout or two.

that face ~ thinking of you

Happy Friday! I am working this weekend at Anchor Paper on University and am thinking I might go to Archivers tonight for scrapmania. I have a baby album to do for my nephew Jason and his new son Adrian and I want to get it done before Adrian gets any older.

I have a couple things to share with you today and the first is this layout I did using the July sketch over at Sketches! by Tamara.

The pictures are some of the first ones I took using my son's new Canon Rebel 2Ti. A little fancier than my little Nikon coolpix.

And last but not least is a card using today's sketch over at Clean and Simple Stamping what is really nice is that not only do you get the sketch, but you get the dimensions of all the parts to the card. These are nice when you are not really good at things like math. :)

Okay that is it for me for today. So do you have anything fun planned for this weekend? Leave me a comment and let me know what they are and who knows you might win some fun wrinkled ribbon from me.

Enjoy!

thank you - back

It felt good to be home last night and finally sleep in my own bed. The garage sale was a success and I got rid of a lot of craft supplies as well as misc. household goods. The weather was crazy and we spent a couple days moving stuff in and out of the garage due to rain.

I feel like I am going through card withdrawl so needed to make a card right away this morning.

After checking the challenges out I decided to do this weeks sketch over at "clean and simple stamping". I love the cards that they create each week.

I used some papers from the Cosmo Cricket "DeLovely" collection, along with some PTI buttons, felt, and beautiful blooms II die set. The punch is EK Success and the rub-on is by pebblesinc.

Tonight I am teaching a class at Anchor Paper on University so if you are in the area stop by and say Hi.

Enjoy!

new card challenge

Happy Earth Day to all of you! While doing some blurfing yesterday I cam across this new card challenge (new to me at least) called Crazy 4 Challenges and thought I would give it a try. I also had a new digital image from Whimsy Haven that I wanted to try out. If you haven't stopped over at Whimsy Haven every Wednesday Lindsay offers one digi image for $1.

Since it is Earth Day I used papers from DCWV called "the green stack" which is made from 70% recycled papers. I distressed everything with the Tim Holtz edge distresser, colored it with my Tombow markers and the sentiment is from pebblesinc.
Enjoy!
