some bunny

I am up on the PoppyStamps blog today sharing a card I created using the "New" Chocolate Bunny die and one of the"New" Memory Box stencils.

My card was inspired by the the Stenciled class I am taking and the Day One card by Debbie Hughes.

I used the Honey Comb texture stencil by Memory Box and some Tim Holtz distress inks to create the background. To give my little Chocolate Bunny some dimension I cut him out 5 times and glued them all together.

I hope you will stop over at the PoppyStamps blog and leave me a little feed back on my card.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me. ~ hugs Sherry ~

indie bloom

Have you seen the new collection Indie Bloom by BasicGrey yet? I absolutely love the patterns, colors and felt flowers in this collection.

I like it so much I used it for both of today's cards.

First up is the card that I created for this weeks challenge over at Card Patterns.

I think this orange and green is my favorite two pieces in the collection. Here is the sketch I used for my inspiration.

Next I used the pink and teal from the collection and created a card for the challenge over at Taylored Expressions.

Thanks for stopping by and I really appreciate your comments.
Enjoy!

masculine

This is my 2nd post today.

I have been busy making cards so figured if I was going to show them to you before the challenges were over I best get busy posting them.

The new challenge over at "Simply Less is More" is Masculine this week. Those are always the hardest cards for me to make so I tend to make them pretty clean and simple.

I wasn't 100% in love with my first card so I decided to do another one based on the same idea. I think I like this one better.

What is the hardest kind of card for you to make? Is it masculine ones like me or something else?

Enjoy!

life of the party

I picked up the new BasicGrey 6x6 paper pad at Archivers at few days ago called "life of the party" and had to use it for a couple of cards I made this morning.

This first card is for Paige over at the Cards blog and she was looking for shaped cards so naturally I pulled out my favorite labels eight die.

I also used some new lovely May Arts ribbon that I bought at Anchor Paper yesterday while I was working, the organza bloom is made by me and the sentiments are some that I had in my stash.

I just love the vintage look of the papers in this collection.

My next card is for the challenge over at clean and simple and I once again used the "life of the party" papers.

I added some seam binding that I colored with a copic marker and some tiny type stickers by Cosmo Cricket.

Here is the sketch I used for my inspiration.

Hope you have a great day.

Enjoy!

bloom brightly

I received an email from my friend Amy yesterday saying she thought one of my handmade blooms would be perfect for the sketch over at CPS well you know that was all I needed to get me creating a card.

I had just finished making about 10 new blooms using lots of fun fabric scraps that my bff Judy gave to me last weekend.

I just love the pink color of the bloom and it goes so well with those Memory Box "pixie" papers and hot pink Esse cardstoc. The sentiment is a vinyl rub-on by EAD and the ribbon is by May Arts.

Here is the sketch that inspired my card. (thanks Amy)

Stop back tomorrow as I will have a couple new cards to share with you.

Enjoy!

Love

Happy Monday ~ Hope you had a great weekend. I know I did as it has finally cooled off here in Minnesota and the humidity has hopefully headed South for now.

My card today is for the challenge over at Clean and Simple Stamping such a fun sketch this week so if you have time grab your stamps and play along.

This afternoon Justin and I are headed to Courage Center for his Swim Fit therapy which he really likes and then maybe we will stop at Caribou and grab a smoothie for him and a vanilla cooler with an extra shot of espresso for me.

Enjoy!

simply the best ~ #23 sasya's sketches

Welcome to another fun sketch challenge from Sasya's Sketches this weeks sketch was a little challenging for me. However I don't know if it was due to the sketch or just this heat and humidity that we have been having here in Minnesota this week.

Now meet Sketch 23.

For my card I used BasicGrey "offbeat" pattern papers, pop-tone "wild cherry" card stock, Stampin' Up "bird" punch, Martha Stewart "large butterfly" punch, Hero Arts sentiment, and May Arts "twine".

I hope you will stop over at Sasya's Sketches and play along with all of us this week.

Enjoy!

I just love her cute stamps and the card I am showing today uses one of the digital stamps I bought from her a few weeks ago.

This card was inspired by Dana's sketch over at Practicing Creativity this week.

flower fever ~ and then some

Well I must have really missed being creative while my sister was here because since she has left I have probably created about 10 cards. Don't worryI won't make you look at them in all one post.

This card was inspired by the sketch over at Card Patterns.

The Cosmo Cricket "garden variety" and the handmade rose buds were perfect for this sketch I think.

My next card uses another of my favorite Cosmo Cricket papers "material girl" along with some more flowers and a quick handmade stick pin that I colored with my Copics.

This one is for the challenge this week over at Clean and Simple Stamping. I might have went a little overboard with the ribbons, flowers and embellishments so it isn't as CAS as I would of liked.

Hope you enjoy and I will be back tomorrow with a few more cards to share with you!

Clean & Simple, Sketch Girl, & Limelight

I apologize for not posting yesterday. I had some cards done and just needed to get a photo taken of them and then do my blog entry. Well I don't know where the day went to, but I never got around to doing it so today you will see 3 of the 4 cards that I created.

This first card is for this weeks challenge over at Clean and Simple Stamping and it was perfect to use this new BasicGrey "cappella" paper pad. Sentiment is by A Muse and the flower is from Unity, and ribbon is May Arts.

This next card is for the challenge over at Sketch Girl and when I saw it i knew it would be the sketch I use for the card I am sending to my friend Tami's sister to welcome her new dog Annie that she recently picked up.

Papers used for this card are the new BasicGrey "max and whiskers", stamps are by inkadinkadoo. I had to show you the inside of the card too where I added some more of this cute paper and a little paw print.

My last card is for the challenge over at LimeLight PaperCrafts and uses more of the BasicGrey "cappella", Neenah natural white cardstock which was embossed using one of the exclusive european KARS cuttlebug folders, ribbon is May Arts, Stamp is by Endless Creations and butterfly is Martha Stewart.

I hope you enjoy these card creations and again I apologize for the long post. Have a great day.

Celebrate

Oh how I love Spring in Minnesota and we are having the most perfect weather you could ever ask for.

Well you know what else I love? Clean and Simple Stamping the sketches they come up with are probably some of my favorite ones to do.

I also love making flowers which is evident in most of my cards lately. This flower is made out of ribbon. I picked this ribbon up today at Anchor Paper and it is such a bright orange color. The paper and sentiment are from PTI and the pearls are Mark Richards.

Enjoy!

every day of your life

My card today is inspired by the challenge over at Nina's blog. I love her style  and this card especially as it gave me a chance to work on an another amazing flower.

My card was inspired by the beautiful bloom and the fussy cut sentiment.

You can bet you are going to be seeing a few of these in the weeks to come. Thanks for stopping by and hope you enjoy!

getting there

Although I am not 100% better I think I am starting to turn the corner. I went to the pharmacy and picked up a couple of drugs the pharmacist recommended to get me through this.

My card today is for the Challenge over at Our Creative Corner and it is a sketch challenge (my favorite).

I ran a few errands this morning and one of them happened to be right near my local Archivers. Well you know I had two 30% off coupons and I knew they would have something I just had to have.

I picked up the new 6x6 pad from BasicGrey "green at heart", along with some new stamps from both Unity and Hero Arts and I picked up one of the new Tim Holtz flower dies for the big shot.

Enjoy!

details:
paper: neenah solar white linen, basicgrey green at heart

Problem Solved (kind of)

Okay I have not found a way to fix the blogspot problem, but have found a way around it. I went back to the old editor for now. It is a lot more of a pain to post but will work until I figure out how to fix the old problem.

My card for yesterday is for the Sketch challenge over at
Mojo Monday. I love this Simple Valentine Paper & stamp set from PTI, the sentiment is also PTI from the Signature Greetings set, ribbbon is May Arts and pearls are KaiserCraft.
Enjoy!
