Another card to share with you today that I created for the Merry Monday challenge this week.

I used papers by Doodlebug Designs along with stamps by PTI. After looking at this photo I feel something is missing so I might have to go back and do a little bit of stitching on that dark green piece of paper as well as down the fishtail banner. What do you think?

frames PP118

It is a grey and rainy morning here in Minnesota so perfect weather for sitting in your jammies and working on a few projects.

I have to say that I had more fun creating this card than I have in a long time. I used a QuicKutz embossing folder along with a new Paper Smooches stamp set "Christmas Sampler" and two wooden embellishments by Studio Calico. 

I painted the frame and the tree with some paint daubers and then added a star to the tree and some enamel accents to the frame. I outlined them both with a gold paint pen.

I am entering this card into this weeks challenge over at the Paper Players.

I have a quick card to share that I created for this weeks challenge over at Merry Monday.

For my card I used a new stamp by Hero Arts called Winter Trees, the flair button is by BasicGrey from the Aspen Frost collection, a QuicKutz embossing folder along with some ribbon from my stash.

This is the sketch for this weeks challenge and if you hurry you still have time to play.

Well it is definitely cool here in Minnesota and our furnace actually turned on this morning. They are predicting our first frost tonight.

masculine

This is my 2nd post today.

I have been busy making cards so figured if I was going to show them to you before the challenges were over I best get busy posting them.

The new challenge over at "Simply Less is More" is Masculine this week. Those are always the hardest cards for me to make so I tend to make them pretty clean and simple.

I wasn't 100% in love with my first card so I decided to do another one based on the same idea. I think I like this one better.

What is the hardest kind of card for you to make? Is it masculine ones like me or something else?

ho ho ho ~ sasya's sketches #27

When I saw the sketch for this weeks challenge over at Sasya's Sketches I immediately thought Valentine's Day, well I didn't want to rush the holidays so I changed it to a Christmas Card.

With that being decided I knew that I wanted to use some of my new BasicGrey "jovial" 6x6 paper pad and woolies for my card. I hate to say this but I think you are going to be seeing a lot of these papers in the coming weeks.

I kind of think the snowman is a little creepy looking and I kind of like that. lol

Here is the sketch that inspired my card.

The embossed background is a QuicKutz die, the little snowflakes are from Spellbinders and the tiny type stickers are from Cosmo Cricket.

Last night while watching some TV I decided to make a couple of cards using some of the new things I have picked up in the past week.

I went to Archivers for the make-n-takes yesterday and really liked the card that we created using half of one of their gatefold cards and a 5.5" circle. So decided to try making a Christmas one. This is a 3.5 x 5" (4 bar) card.

For this card I used my SU bird punch, Memory Box "mistletoe" papers, the card stock is a yummy color from French Papers "basis pop-tone" collection called sno-cone. I love the really soft color, the sentiment is a pebblesinc. rub-on.

My next card uses a new Halloween stamp set I bought at Archivers yesterday called "bootiful boots" by stampendous. I colored them in with copics and then added glossy accents on top. The embossing folder is from QuicKutz and the wrinkle ribbon is some that I made last week.

I love how the boots have turned out. I added some silver to the buckles on the boots too.

Oh today is my 35th wedding anniversary and I was going to post  a picture of the two of us from that day and decided I wouldn't put you through it.

butterflies

I have a card to share with you which is for the newest sketch challenge over at Taylored Expressions.

I pulled out the Webster's Pages "petite papers" for this card along with my Martha Stewart butterfly punches. Oh how I love them. The embossing die is by QuicKutz and the ribbon is some of my handmade wrinkle ribbon.

Speaking of wrinkle ribbon I made a few more batches of it today in bright yellow, orange, pink, and lime green.  I don't know what is more addicting using it or making it.

miss you

It's Monday and that means I have a busy day today. First off is an oil change and tire rotation at 7:30 this morning and then my son has two doctor appointments.

I made a card yesterday for another new sketch challenge that I found and almost forgot to post it.

Don't you just love this little pure innocence digi stamp? I added some Cosmo Cricket tiny type stickers, and used the new "stars" quickutz embossing plate.
