Sorry I haven't posted in awhile but I was out of town visiting my sister who was sick and needed someone to bring her hot soup.

I bought a new paper collection at Anchor Paper a few weeks back called "hunt and gather" by KaiserCraft and have totally fallen in love with it. Along with the 6x6 pad I bought the journal tag sheet. I grabbed some buttons and twine along with my favorite border punch and I started making cards using all of the journal tags.

I now have 12 masculine birthday cards when I need them. I am sharing two of them with you today and am entering them in this weeks Wee Memories Challenge #64 "Masculine Challenge".

I absolutely love the papers and colors in this collection.

I woke up really early this morning and after a little caffeine I was ready to make a card.

I decided to throw my hat into the ring and submit a card to gallery idol. I know it isn't win worthy, but I am at least doing something that is way out of this girls comfort area and hopefully it will make me branch out and submit for a few other calls.

I used an old Penny Black flower image along with some Echo Park papers, EK Success "arch scallop" border punch along with some Ranger distress inks and Cosmo Cricket stickers.

I was inspired by this weeks sketch over at Clean and Simple Stamping.

happy valentine's day

I have a card to share with you today that I created using the newest Friend's of Speedy the Cat over at Mark's Finest Papers.

Isn't that image just adorable? It is one of the newest "special editions" images available through Lori Boyd. This one is called Davey's Teddy and he is one of several new combination digital stamps that Mercy and Arielle have created by joining two of Lori's images together.

Here is the sketch that inspired my card. Along with the new image by Lori Boyd I used papers from the My Minds Eye "Twig" collection, October Afternoon stickers and SU embossing folder.

Love YOU Bunches

It is time for the 2nd challenge over at By Lori Designs and it is once again a color challenge.

For my card I used one of Lori's puddle jumper images called Harper. She comes with her own little doll and sentiment too.

The inspiration for my card came from this weeks sketch at CPS.

outdoors

I don't know if I ever told you but Micah has a shoe fettish and has had one since he was really small. He loves to play with shoes and he knows exactly who's shoes are who's.

So you know I had to have a picture of his new red converse that I got him last Fall on one of our many playdates.

I wasn't sure if I was going to share this layout at first since I wasn't quite sure I liked the papers and color combo that I picked, but after staring at it for two days...I think I like it.

I used the February Guest DT sketch over at Sketchy Thursday for my inspiration.

This layout is my 3rd done so far and posted to my blog this year. It is for my resolution of posting one layout a week to get me motivated to scrapbook more in 2011. I have done several other pages too this year but I am only counting the ones that make it to my blog for this challenge to myself.

 I will be back tomorrow with a card or two to share with you.

Autumn

Yes, I have a second card for you today. Since the weather has cooled off it makes me feel like playing in my craftroom.

I just finished up an 8x8 album for my nephew Jason's new baby Adrian and then decided to create a card using the newest sketch over at Card Patterns.

For my card I pulled some fall papers that I bought from PTI last year and a digital stamp that I bought last year. You can't tell from the picture but that bottom "natural" cardstock is embossed with a leaf design from QuicKutz. I added some dewdrops and a few handcut rolled flowers.

It felt good to be home last night and finally sleep in my own bed. The garage sale was a success and I got rid of a lot of craft supplies as well as misc. household goods. The weather was crazy and we spent a couple days moving stuff in and out of the garage due to rain.

I feel like I am going through card withdrawl so needed to make a card right away this morning.

After checking the challenges out I decided to do this weeks sketch over at "clean and simple stamping". I love the cards that they create each week.

I used some papers from the Cosmo Cricket "DeLovely" collection, along with some PTI buttons, felt, and beautiful blooms II die set. The punch is EK Success and the rub-on is by pebblesinc.

Tonight I am teaching a class at Anchor Paper on University so if you are in the area stop by and say Hi.

Happy Friday and if things go as I planned you should be reading this post while I am working the garage sale in Eagan.

I bought a few new Pure Innocence digital stamps this week and am just having so much fun coloring them in and picking colors to match my papers. Or should I say trying to pick colors to match my papers.

Speaking of new I went to Archivers over in Roseville today to use my 30% coupon and get my free 12x12 paper for the month and was so excited to see that they had both Cosmo Cricket 6x6 pads that I have been looking for in stock. I got both Garden Variety and Material Girl as well as some more of those fabulous tiny type stickers.

My sketch inspiration for this card is from MTSC74.

Sunday Part Two

As promised here is the card I made using my new stamp (cling music score by Stampendous) that I bought at Anchor Paper Express yesterday. I love vintage sheet music and now with this large stamp I can create my own.

I added a border punch from EK Sucess, along with some leaves made from the SU leaf die, and a handmade rose misted with glimmer mist. The paper was distressed using the Tim Holtz edge distresser and Ranger Distress inks in Pure Honey and Vintage Photo.

Okay I am getting ready to pack for a trip to Wahpeton, ND to visit family while my niece is on Spring Break. I have scheduled a daily post while I am gone so hopefully you won't even have a chance to miss me. I will be back here by Friday.

Project Tuesday ~ Gift Card Holder

Sorry I didn't blog yesterday but I was over taking care of my favorite little guy Micah. I will be taking a few more days in the next couple weeks to run back over there and also a trip to Wahpeton to visit family.

I took a video of him walking all over the place, but can't figure out how to add it to my blog so will do that later.

The challenge this week over at Project Tuesday using the tutorial they provided. It went together really quick and I love how it turned out.

I want to thank Rose for taking time to show me how to add my watermark to my cards. She made what I thought was really difficult into something really easy.

For this card I used the Cosmo Cricket "Early Bird" papers, Martha Stewart "Butterfly" punch, EK Success "Ticket" punch, Kaiser Craft pearls, PTI sentiment, & Sizzix Flower die.

Super Sketchy Sunday

Today's card is for Day 309 over at 365 Cards. I just love this sketch and thought it would be perfect for the birthday card I need to make my oldest Sister Sharon.

I used BasicGrey "nook and pantry" papers, PTI buttons and stamps "everyday button bits & signature greetings", Martha Stewart leaf punch, and EK Success retro flower punch.
