happy 4th of July

I wanted to wish all of you a "happy and safe 4th of July" and show a few cards that I made the past few days.

This first card uses a new paper collection from BasicGrey called "Oxford" and believe it or not this is the only sheet I bought as I wanted to make a chair card and thought it would be perfect.

This next card uses BasicGrey "Out of Print" papers, PTI stamp and die, handmade rose and spellbinders leaves.

My next card uses papers by Authentique, Websters Pages lace and a muslin rose that I made.

Last but not least is a card I made using a great tutorial by my friend Arielle (Wax Fruit Company) on printing digital images and papers. I learned a new much easier way to print my digital images and papers.

This image is one from Arielle's store all papers are digital from Echo Park. I added some of my handmade wrinkle ribbon, but am still deciding if I picked the right color or not.

Enjoy!

card for tami

I went scrapbooking at Archivers with my friend Tami the other day and she gave me one of cards from her last class to color and put together.

I finally finished up late yesterday while watching some crazy "SCARY" movie on Netflix. Yep, besides making cards and scrapbooking I love to watch scary movies. Some of my favorites are SAW and Chainsaw Masacre, but I have to admit I do close my eyes once in awhile.

I love these papers by Cosmo Cricket and they go so well with the little butterfly by Karen Lockhart.

Okay enjoy your day I am off to run some errands and grab a cup of coffee at Caribou. Yummy!

FLT61

Every week I check out what the card is over at Clean & Simple Stamping and today I decided to play along. I should be doing some other things here around the house but am in a mood to play.
Here is the sketch

and here is my card

I used Neenah natural white cardstock, Making Memories "Autumn Splendor" 4x6 paper mat that I picked up at Michael's yesterday, button is from BasicGrey, twine is May Arts, stamp is from Creative Cafe "November" and I got the Dew Drops at a small shop in Red Wing.
Enjoy~

ENJOY~

While surfing the internet today I found another fun sketch challenge blog and decided to give it a try.

This is the sketch for Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge #37

I love how clean and simple this sketch was and I used Cosmo Cricket "Earth Love paper and ribbon, dew drops on a few of the branches and the "enjoy" stamp is from Unity.

Hope you have a great Sunday.

ESS Sketch 43

I love the sketch this week over at "Eat Sleep Stamp" so simple, yet I had the hardest time trying to figure to stamp or not to stamp. I decided this sketch was the perfect opportunity to use my new Lemonade papers and buttons by BasicGrey. I added just a small piece of ribbon from American Crafts and considered the card complete. The verse inside says Thinking of You and has a strip of the polka dot paper along the bottom as well as a couple of small butterflies that I punched out of the same papers using the Martha Stewart butterfly punches.
Enjoy~

Card Positioning Systems Sketch 122

I met a friend at Archiver's today and I couldn't wait to get home to do a card using my
new BasicGrey June Bug. If you have not seen this collection or Lemonade they are to die for. They have wonderful new embellishments for these two collections. The ones used on this card are called "pops" and the Lemonade collection comes with these cute felt embellishments called "woolies".
Along with the BasicGrey paper and the pop embellishment I used some American Crafts ribbon and Neenah Black and Avalanche White linen cardstock. I inked the edges of the paper with Ranger distressed ink in Vintage Photo. Card measures 3.5" x 6".
Enjoy~

Paper Popsicles Challenge meets Mr. Campy

Paper Popsicle has a great sketch challenge this week and I couldn't resist using some of my new Mr. Campy paper, stickers, and ribbon that I picked up today.

I used Kraft paper from Anchor Paper as the card base and then added a carmel brown (also from Anchor Paper) as backing to the Mr. Campy papers.

First I just added the owl but decided he looked lonely on the front of the card so I added a couple of tree branches and considered it done.
On the inside it says "Are we there yet" this verse reminds me of when I drove to California in 2005 with my son, my niece and my great niece Cassie. We told Cassie who was 4 at time that "are we there yet" was a naughty word and she couldn't say it. It worked pretty good too if I could of only managed to break the Mary Poppins DVD we would of had the perfect car ride.
Enjoy!
