snow much fun

Happy Monday! Did you all have a great weekend? We had beautiful weather here in Minneapolis this past weekend.

Yesterday was card club at Anchor Paper Express where I teach with my friend Bonnie and Kathy. We had a full group and it was a lot of fun.

I created this card the other night using "Saint Nick" papers by Fancy Pants. I used a Martha Stewart border and snowflake punch and the sentiment is an SRM sticker.

I used this weeks Card Patterns sketch as my inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by to look. I love comments so if you read my blog please do me a favor and leave a comment because who knows when I will sling out some of my handmade wrinkle ribbon as a give away for one commenter. :P

oh baby

Friday and that means time for a new release and a challenge over at A Day for Daisies blog.

This weeks challenge is called "oh baby". Everyone loves a baby so let's get sentimental together. Show us your best baby design including a sentiment that melts your heart (and everyone elses) heart!

For my card I used this weeks new release called "tummy time" and I opted to go with a CAS white card with minimal coloring with the copics. My sentiment is an SRM sticker.

I hope you play along with us on this fun new challenge. Remember you must use images from A Day for Daisies to be entered into the drawing.

Here is a look at all of this weeks new releases and they are available in the store.

Enjoy!

celebrate

Just a quick card to share with you before I head out to run some errands before I go over to spend the night with my two favorite people.

This card was created for this weeks OLC over at Less is More and the challenge was to use 3 squares on your card.

I had a hard time with this one as it wasn't as easy as I thought it would be.

I ended up using my new favorite stamp set by My Minds Eye from the Stella and Rose "Gertie" collection. It is a total of 8 different doily stamps and can you believe they were only $5.99? I even had a coupon for 30% off. This card uses two of the smaller sized doilies. Sentiment is a sticker from SRM "congratulations" collection.

Enjoy!

wishing you well

I have a real quick card to share with you before I head out to the Minnesota Historical Society with my cousin. We are hoping to do some family research today.

Notice all the stitching I did on today's card? I decided to get a little brave on this one. I love the sketch and it was perfect for adding a handmade organza bloom, mixed with some Memory Box papers from the "minuet" collection and one of my new SRM stickers from the "wishing you well" collection.

Here is the sketch that inspired my card. It is sketch 102 from Card Patterns.

Enjoy!

Challenge #7 ~ ADFD

Okay I need to admit that this weeks challenge over at A Day for Daisies was a little tough for me.

The challenge is called "It's All in The Wrapping". You know that special box wrapped so perfectly, you can hardly imagine what it might hold? Yep...we are to use wrapping paper in our card design.

Okay as you can see I did not use wrapping paper and part of that is because I don't currently own any. I am one of those people who usually put the gift in a bag or in an envelope, so I decided that my card would be embossed to look like fancy wrapping paper and then I would add a tag along with this adorable stocking digital image to add the persons name.

You can find this cute little image called Sami here. Along with several other ones.

It is also new release day at ADFD and I want to show you this fun image called "Sunday's Wash" that Tammy let me play with.

I used this weeks sketch over at Lord Have Mercy as my inspiration along with new papers from BasicGrey called "marjolaine" and alpha stickers from October Afternoon.

I hope you will take time to play along with us this week.

Enjoy!

princess

I figured I should get these extra cards sitting on my desk posted before the deadlines since I already missed a couple due to my computer being on vacation.

This first card is for a couple challenges with the first one being the sketch challenge over at  ESS #107  and I am also entering it in a new challenge blog that a friend told me about called Raise the Bar and their challenge this is called Oh Baby so they want to see some little cuties used on our cards and mine definite qualifies for that.

Don't you just love this new image by LORi Designs called "Girl with Stroller". I love that you can give them any kind of clothes you want just by coloring with Copics or adding paper piecing. The sticker is from SRM and the flower is Making Memories.

Here is the sketch that inspired my card.

Enjoy!

baby, it's cold outside brrr...

Oh how true is the above statement. Our weather here in Minnesota is cold, wet and windy. A good day to stay inside and catch up on some shows I watch and create some cards.

My first card is for the challenges over at Friday Sketchers and it also qualifies for this weeks challenge over at Tuesday Throwdown where the challenge was to make the sentiment the focal point of your card.

I am loving these stickers from SRM as well as this new 6x6 paper collection from Memory Box called "tinsel". Don't you just love "ballet mouse" byLORIdesigns?

Here is the sketch that inspired my card.

I hope you enjoy!
