you are the best

I can't believe that it is already February 1st, where did January go?

I worked on a card for the Anniversary celebration over at CPS and today's card features sketch 166.

For my card I used papers by Authentique from the "gathering" collection along with a MFT doily, sentiment is Ali Edwards from Technique Tuesday and buttons are PTI.

I just love the look of soft blue and chocolate brown together.

Thanks for stopping by to look.

hello

I was Skyping with my friend Michelle last night and we worked on a card for the newest challenge over at My Favorite Things.

I used my newest paper purchase which is Authentique's "gathering", MFT rolled rose, doily, and flourish.  I absolutely love the colors in this collection.

Here is the sketch that inspired my card.

Thanks for stopping by to look.

it's your day

it is cold here this morning 18 degrees so I am enjoying a nice cup of tea and enjoying the silence since the family is still sleeping.

I made this card for the challenge over at The Sweet Stop and the sketch was perfect for some masculine birthday cards I wanted to create using the new American Crafts papers "Campy Trails" that I picked up at Anchor Paper on Saturday. I just love AC's newest collections especially the fact that they have patterns on both sides now.

This last card is one of those just because ones. My niece Tammy sent me a Thank You card that was shaped like a purse and the moment I got it I knew I was going to cut it apart and make a template to recreate it.

I used Cosmo Cricket "UPcycle" paper, Spellbinders die "foilage" for the leaves, PTI flower die, and MFT rolled rose.

Enjoy!

Celebrate

Friday and time for another new release and challenge over at A Day for Daisies and this weeks theme is "go green".

For my card I used this weeks new release called "at the stroke of midnight". And since this weeks challenge is to "go green" I decided to use as much green as I could find in my stash on my desk.

For the inspiration on my card I used this weeks sketch #106 over at Card Patterns.

The papers I used are by Jillibean Soup from the "dutch mustard soup" collection. I picked up all 3 of the newest collections in the 6x6 pad at Anchor Paper Express. I added some stickles to her hat and dress, rolled roses and the sentiment is computer generated.

Here is a look at all of this weeks new relelases.

I hope you will play along with this weeks challenge as we want to see you go green. Show us your creations using as much green as you can stand. There are many ways to go green so get creative!

Enjoy!

all about hats

Friday and time for another new release at A Day for Daisies and this weeks new release is all about hats.

For my card this week I used the new release image called "vintage school girl 3". I used a new doily die by MFT that I received as a gift from my friend Michelle, some paper by Webster's Pages, my handmade wrinkle ribbon in tiger lily and a stick pin.

Speaking of my wrinkle ribbon I need to announce the winner of my drawing and that is "Arielle". So Arielle email me your address and I will get some of my ribbon in the mail to you.

Here are all of this weeks new releases and let me tell you I had a hard time picking which one to use on my card.

Enjoy!

be my valentine

I took some time today to get all my valentine cards ready for mailing. I still need to pick up a little something extra to go with a couple of the cards but will do that this coming week.

In the meantime I created two more cards today. The first card is for the sketch challenge over at Limelight Paper Crafts not only is it a sketch challenge but we are also to use red embellishments on it.

I don't know about you but I am loving my embossing folders lately and used my cuttlebug hearts on my cards. I created the felt flower using my PTI die, sentiment and the die cut shape are also by PTI. Cardstock is Neenah Solar white linen and French Papers pop-tone wild cherry.

Here is the sketch that inspired my card.

This next card is one of those "just because" cards that I wanted to create. It will go to a special friend that I haven't seen in awhile and I am meeting up with her this weekend to just catch up. Don't you just love that doily in the background? That was a surprise gift from my friend Michelle.

I used Neenah Solar white linen cardstock, BasicGrey button, The Twinery "blossom" twine, PTI blooming flower die, felt from my stash and "tiny type" stickers by Cosmo Cricket.

Enjoy!

floral fantasy

Oh yes, it is Wednesday and time for another sketch challenge over at Sasya's Sketches. This would of been my last post as a member of the Design Team but Sasya has asked me to stay on for one more term and of course I had to say yes.

For my card this week I used the MFT rolled rose and the Martha Stewart leaf punch. The papers are from PTI and the stamp is by SU and was a gift from my friend Connie.

Here is the sketch that inspired my card.

I hope you can play along with us.

organic soul - thanks

This is my second post for today if you are looking for my new release image from A Day for Daisies please scroll down.

Besides being new release Friday over at A Day for Daisies it is also time for our 10th challenge. Todays challenge is called "Organic Soul" and we are to create a card using something organic. Pressed leaves on trees, dried flowers in flowing hair, a sandy beach, or homemade paper, anything that inspires you! I am sure you will not find it hard to be inspired by the beautiful world around us.

I must admit this was a tough challenge for me as it is winter here so I could not go out and pull any leaves or flowers for my card.

What I did for my card is create the background paper using a leaf branch image and spraying over it and on it with 'patina' glimmer mist. I like how it did the shadow.

The image I used is by Tammy at A Day for Daisies and it is called "jar of wild lilies". I colored the flowers with my copics, added some of my handmade wrinkle ribbon, tiny type stickers by Cosmo Cricket and a lace die by MFT.

I hope you will join us in this weeks challenge.

Enjoy!

miss you

Nothing makes my heart flutter like new paper and new stamps. I picked up this cute MFT image at Smudges last week when I went down there for a play date.

I kept waiting for the perfect challenge to use this image on and today I found that challenge over at CPS.

The new BasicGrey 6x6 kraft pad worked nicely for the suitcase and the background on this card. The dress and the strip of paper are from the new "cappella" paper pad.

See how I snuck in those "tiny type" stickers by Cosmo Cricket again?
Enjoy!

The papers are from My Minds Eye and they are called "beloved", the stamp is from the Pure Innocence collection by MFT. I paper pieced her and colored with Tombow markers.

Birthday Girl

As promised earlier today here is my card. This is for the CPS Challenge 149 and again I have used my PTI Simple Valentine Papers, MFT Pure Innocence stamp set called My Balloon, BasicGrey button, and I colored it in with markers.

I am really enjoying both this new paper pack and the new stamps. I need to work on my coloring though.
Enjoy!
