Merry Christmoose ~ CHNC#98

Since it is a grey and rainy day here mixed with a few snowflakes I thought I would color in an image for a new challenge blog I found.

The challenge this week over at Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge is to create a Christmas card suitable for a man or a boy.

I won 10 images a couple weeks ago over at Bugaboo Stamps and bought this cute reindeer image. The paper is new from the Echo Park 'very merry christmas' collection and that cute ivy is from a new Martha Stewart punch. I added some doodlebug design mini pearls for the berries.

I think it looks masculine. What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me.

make a wish

A quick card to share that I made for this weeks challenge at Bugaboo Stamps. The challenge this week is 'things with tails'.

I absolutely love this little dinosaur image and was happy he had a tail so I could use him in the current challenge, and I got to use my favorite color green too. I pulled out some of my Project Life stash for this card (the label and journal tag). The embossing folder is a new one I picked up this weekend called 'falling dots'.

snowmen ~ rs#37

Do you ever have this great idea for a card and you work on it for what seems like forever and then when it's done it is nothing like you envisioned?

Meet today's card!

I thought about throwing it out and starting over and then decided to just post it and move on.

Here is the fabulous sketch that was created based on one of Arielle's cards.

Happy Fall - CTS#5

I am still working on using all my stamps at least once and this weeks sketch over at CAS(E) this Sketch was perfect to use this Fall stamp set by Inky Antics called 'Squirrel'.

I kept the card really simple and stamped the sentiment in ripe avocado and dark chocolate and colored the leaves my my Copics.

Here is the sketch that was my inspiration.

Stella - SSS123

I created this card  for the 'anything goes challenge' over at Catch the Bug and just realized I missed the deadline, but thought I would share it anyways.

I just love the digital images over there and can always find a few that make me laugh.

So grateful for YOU.

As I stated a few days ago I am doing an early New Years resolution which is to make a dent in my un-inked stamps and dies.

My card today uses a PTI die and stamp set called Lovely Layers.

I also used papers by BasicGrey from the 'Lucille' collection. I picked mine up at Stamp Your Life.

I used this weeks sketch over at Freshly Made for the inspiration on my cards layout.

So do you have anything fun planned for this weekend? I plan on watching some chick flicks and working in the craftroom.

This week we are having a color challenge so I sure hope you will play along with me and the rest of the design team and show us your 'Autumn Colors'.

For my card I used papers by Simple Stories from the 'harvest lane' collection along with some May Arts twine and button by American Crafts.

hello friend

I pulled out my Artful Delight Card Club kit for November along with some Pebbles alpha stickers and a couple of dies to create this card.

If you haven't seen this months kit please stop over at the Artful Delight blog and take a look at it.

I absolutely love this floral paper along with that floral brad and fabric tape that are in the kit.

I am entering this card into this weeks sketch challenge over at Retro Sketches. Don't you just love this sketch? I don't think there has been one that I didn't love.

I need to thank my Design Team friend Rose who switched days with me today so I could get my card for this challenge posted before the challenge ended. My usual day to post is Saturdays.

thankful

A quick card to share with you this morning before I head out of the house to run a few fun errands.

I haven't done the sketch over at Mojo Monday in forever and when I saw this weeks, well I just had to play along.

I used papers by BasicGrey from the 'Lucille' collection which I picked up over at Stamp Your Life. I also used my new and first The Alley Way stamp set 'it's fall about you'. I got a couple of their sets and will show you the other one sometime soon.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me.

Thankful - PP120

On my quest to use all of my un-inked stamps in the coming year, I have also added "dies" to the list. I LOVE dies and have too many to count so am going to start using them more as well.

On this card I have used dies by PTI and Memory Box. The papers are a recent purchase that I picked up at Stamp Your Life called 'Lucille' by BasicGrey. I just love the colors in this collection. They remind me of my Grandma's house.

I am entering this card in the Paper Players theme challenge this week which is "Give Thanks".

hello friend - SSSC171, LRW158 and TPE173

I am starting my New Years resolution early, and that is to use all of my stamps at least once. I am starting early as I figure if I start using all the ones that have never been inked now I will probably be done by 2016 if I don't buy anymore stamps.

I love the Pure Innocence stamps and this one has been sitting on my desk for about a month just asking me to use her.

When I saw Karen's sketch this week over at Sweet Sunday I knew her day had come.

I colored her with Copics which is currently my favorite way to color other than paper piecing. I added some stickles to her wings and glossy accents to all the circles on her shirt, papers are by Fancy Pants Designs from 'the good life' collection.

I am also entering this in The Pink Elephant challenge this week which is to use your favorite coloring element and also Little Red Wagon challenge which is coloring.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me.

Woot Woot - Happy News

To say I have had a great week is an understatement. Yesterday, I received an email from Lesley asking me if I would like to join the Merry Monday design team.

This has been a goal of mine for awhile now and it has finally happened. I LOVE making Christmas cards and the girls on this team are some of the nicest out there. So of course I said yes.

For my card I used papers and stickers from the "handmade holiday" collection by Simple Stories, button, sentiment, ink and die cut are all by PaperTrey Ink.

I hope you will join me this week and welcome me to the design team by playing along on this weeks sketch challenge.

Here is the entire Design Team. Stop by and check out what they have created with this weeks sketch.

Don't forget to enter my drawing here for some Birthday blog candy that I am giving out this week.

2013 Calendar - November

If you read my two earlier post today I am working on my annual calendar that I hang in my kitchen.

For this layout I used papers from Fall Fever by Echo Park. The stamped leaves are from a set by Ali Edwards for Studio AE at Technique Tuesday along with a digital file called 'monthly circle set' from Stamp Your Life. This set is not yet available in the store but I will be giving a set away later this month during our blog hop, so stay tuned for that.

This is a close up of all the bits and bobs I used on my page.

I am entering this layout in The Pink Scrapbook Challenge which this week is a color challenge. We are to use Yellow, Green, Brown and Cream.

2013 Calendar - October

If you read my earlier post I am doing my yearly wall calendar and this is what I did for October.

Micah had two parties at Preschool the week of Halloween. He was excited to wear his Dragon costume and to hand out his treats.

For this layout I used papers, stickers, flair badge and alpha from the October Afternoon 'witch hazel' collection. The journaling cards are by Stamp Your Life from the 'halloween' 3x4 journal cards and the 'trick or treat' overlay is from 'kids halloween' digital stamp/overlay collection.

Here is a close up of the elements I used on my layout. If you have never worked with digital images or overlays they are really easy to use.

Don't forget to enter my drawing here as I am giving away a $10 gift certificate to the Stamp Your Life store in honor of my birthday which is fast approaching.

2013 Calendar - September

For the past 10 years I have created an 8x8 scrapbook calendar that is in my kitchen. I always take some of my favorite photos from the previous year that were taken during that specific month and use them in the current years calendar.

Right now I am working on a few layouts so here is what September looks like.

I love this photo of Micah, but wanted to use this cute "my little pumpkin" overlay from Stamp Your Life "my pumpkin" digital set.

I also used paper from Lawn Fawn "dewey decimal" collection, washi tape, alpha stickers by Pebbles, Amy Tangerine camera from ready set go, polaroid frame by Lifestyle Crafts and the round journal spot is a printable from Studio Calico.

Here is a close up of all the little bits and bobs I added to the page.  Don't forget to enter my birthday drawing here as I am giving away a $10 gift certificate to the store. I will pick a winner on the 7th as that is my official birthday.

My next post will be a look at my October calendar page

happy times

Today is my first post as a member of the Artful Delight Card Kit Design Team. I am so excited to show you the kit for this month. It is filled with papers by Pink Paislee, Crate Paper and Echo Park along with embellishments to match.

I had the hardest time deciding which papers and embellishments to use for my first card. The papers in this kit are gorgeous and don't you just love those paper flowers and that big brad?

For inspiration I used this months sketch challenge.

I hope you will stop over at the Artful Delight blog and play along with me.

Peeking Posies - FMS59

I don't know about you but I love paper piecing and fussy cutting.

I used papers from the newest Dear Lizzy collection "5th & Frolic", along with my all time favorite Hero Arts stamp set called 'peeking posies", and a Tim Holtz embossing folder. I bought this stamp back in early 2006 and to this day it is still one of my favorites.

I am entering this card into this weeks challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches.
