Week 15 - Project Life

Sorry I am a little late posting this weeks Project Life layout. I had it done ahead of time and then just put the book away before I took photos.

Week 15 was an uneventful week here at the Eckblad house so I only did a one page layout. The other side is a 12x12 photo of the sky that I cut apart and inserted into the divided pages. (sorry I didn't take a photo of this)

Definitely a boring week that included coffee, lots of coffee, new tires, and snow, lots of snow. Enough to get a person depressed.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today it really means a lot to me.

Project Life ~ Week One

Last year I did Project Life the entire year and loved it more each week that I did it. So happy to have done the entire 52 weeks. I love looking back at my two albums and getting a glimpse into our everyday.

I am once again doing Project Life this year but will be sharing my pages with you every Thursday.

Along with creating a lot of my journal cards and using up my stash I will also be using the monthly printables, flair badges, washi tape and stamps available from Stamp Your Life, LLC

Meet the Monthly Printables for January. These are available in the shop now.

The flair badges are new and have just hit the shop, but starting next month they will coordinate with the monthly printables.

Here is a look at my Week One.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask.

love today

(this is my third post today ~ scroll down to see my TPE Scrapbook and Artful Delight post)

It's December and time for the first challenge over at Stamp Your Life, LLC., which is an "Anything Goes" challenge.

I used the love today stamp from the store to create the background on my card and colored it with a couple of Copic markers. I added some glossy accents to each of the hearts to make them POP!

The challenges will run until the 21st of each month with the winner announced the last week of the month. I hope you will join in on our first challenge and remember it is "Anything Goes".

Make sure to check out the blog to see what the other members of the design team have created and to link up your project to play along.

Stamp Your Life Black Friday Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stamp Your Life, LLC Black Friday Blog Hop! If you are just joining the hop please start at the Stamp Your Life Blog.

Stamp Your Life, LLC is a brand new rubber stamp company. They specialize in rubber stamps made for scrapbooking. Their stamps can be used on just about any project though, you'll see many different projects on this hop! Along with their exclusive stamps they carry a wide selection of Washi Tapes, Divine Twine, Packaging and many BasicGrey Products.

I used the Monthly Circles digital stamps on this collage layout that I created with some of my favorite November instagram photos along with the (heart) today rubber stamp in the bottom right hand corner. I do one collage of my favorite instagram photos each month and this set is just perfect for that.

Next up I created these 'Thankful for You' photo cards using the 'Thankful Circles'.  I added this digital element to my card and printed them up for some of my family with a photo of the person (or someone in their immediate family) I was sending this to on the front. Inside was a quick note telling them why I was grateful for them.

Now be sure to leave a comment on each blog along the way, as each person on the design team along with some guest designers are each giving away something on their blog.   Once you finish the hop make sure to leave a comment on the Stamp Your Life, LLC blog letting them know you completed the hop and have liked the facebook page to be eligible for the Grand Prize which is a free year of the digital stamp club. That's like getting $150 of free digital stamps.

Make sure to leave a comment here to win the Monthly Digital Stamp Set

Visit the store anytime during the hop and save 25% off your entire purchase with coupon code SANTA. (coupon is valid on everything EXCEPT pre-orders)

Not sure what to buy that certain someone on your list Mari offers gift certificates in any amount over $5.00.

Okay, now you are off to Shelly's blog. If you get lost along the way head back to the Stamp Your Life, LLC blog and see the full list.

So grateful for YOU.

As I stated a few days ago I am doing an early New Years resolution which is to make a dent in my un-inked stamps and dies.

My card today uses a PTI die and stamp set called Lovely Layers.

I also used papers by BasicGrey from the 'Lucille' collection. I picked mine up at Stamp Your Life.

I used this weeks sketch over at Freshly Made for the inspiration on my cards layout.

So do you have anything fun planned for this weekend? I plan on watching some chick flicks and working in the craftroom.

thankful

A quick card to share with you this morning before I head out of the house to run a few fun errands.

I haven't done the sketch over at Mojo Monday in forever and when I saw this weeks, well I just had to play along.

I used papers by BasicGrey from the 'Lucille' collection which I picked up over at Stamp Your Life. I also used my new and first The Alley Way stamp set 'it's fall about you'. I got a couple of their sets and will show you the other one sometime soon.

Mari, over at Stamp Your Life has been busy working on some new digital sets and she is releasing them today.

The good news is that she is offering a 15% discount on them starting today and going through Sunday and you don't need a coupon code.

If you plan on doing a December Daily or if you already do Project Life these will work perfect in there as overlays on your photos or printed out on 3x4 or 4x6 cards.

Thankful - PP120

On my quest to use all of my un-inked stamps in the coming year, I have also added "dies" to the list. I LOVE dies and have too many to count so am going to start using them more as well.

On this card I have used dies by PTI and Memory Box. The papers are a recent purchase that I picked up at Stamp Your Life called 'Lucille' by BasicGrey. I just love the colors in this collection. They remind me of my Grandma's house.

I am entering this card in the Paper Players theme challenge this week which is "Give Thanks".

2013 Calendar - November

If you read my two earlier post today I am working on my annual calendar that I hang in my kitchen.

For this layout I used papers from Fall Fever by Echo Park. The stamped leaves are from a set by Ali Edwards for Studio AE at Technique Tuesday along with a digital file called 'monthly circle set' from Stamp Your Life. This set is not yet available in the store but I will be giving a set away later this month during our blog hop, so stay tuned for that.

This is a close up of all the bits and bobs I used on my page.

I am entering this layout in The Pink Scrapbook Challenge which this week is a color challenge. We are to use Yellow, Green, Brown and Cream.

2013 Calendar - October

If you read my earlier post I am doing my yearly wall calendar and this is what I did for October.

Micah had two parties at Preschool the week of Halloween. He was excited to wear his Dragon costume and to hand out his treats.

For this layout I used papers, stickers, flair badge and alpha from the October Afternoon 'witch hazel' collection. The journaling cards are by Stamp Your Life from the 'halloween' 3x4 journal cards and the 'trick or treat' overlay is from 'kids halloween' digital stamp/overlay collection.

Here is a close up of the elements I used on my layout. If you have never worked with digital images or overlays they are really easy to use.

Don't forget to enter my drawing here as I am giving away a $10 gift certificate to the Stamp Your Life store in honor of my birthday which is fast approaching.

2013 Calendar - September

For the past 10 years I have created an 8x8 scrapbook calendar that is in my kitchen. I always take some of my favorite photos from the previous year that were taken during that specific month and use them in the current years calendar.

Right now I am working on a few layouts so here is what September looks like.

I love this photo of Micah, but wanted to use this cute "my little pumpkin" overlay from Stamp Your Life "my pumpkin" digital set.

I also used paper from Lawn Fawn "dewey decimal" collection, washi tape, alpha stickers by Pebbles, Amy Tangerine camera from ready set go, polaroid frame by Lifestyle Crafts and the round journal spot is a printable from Studio Calico.

Here is a close up of all the little bits and bobs I added to the page.  Don't forget to enter my birthday drawing here as I am giving away a $10 gift certificate to the store. I will pick a winner on the 7th as that is my official birthday.

My next post will be a look at my October calendar page
