baby

A quick card for you this morning that I made while waiting for the rest of the family to wake up.

I used papers from My Minds Eye "the sweetest thing" collection from the lavender collection along with one of the enamel dots from the same collection.

I used this weeks sketch over at "retro sketches" as my inpiration.

Okay, that is it for me this morning. Thanks for stopping by to visit and as always your comments are appreciated.

bear hugs

I just can't stop playing with my new Paper Smooches stamp set 'Chubby Chum Pals'!

I knew this would be a fun image to paper piece so I grabbed my My Minds Eye "the sweetest thing" bluebell collection and created this 4.25" square card.

I used the newest sketch over at Sweet Sunday as the inspiration for my layout.

Thanks for stopping by my blog to look. You comments are always appreciated.

just because

I have a quick card to share with you. It is one of those just because I wanted to make a card, card.

I got a new stamp set. My first ever Paper Smooches image stamps. I totally love the little critters in this set.

I just had to use the moose as he is my favorite from the set. He kind of reminds me of a pig with antlers though and I am okay with that.

Okay, that is it for me. Hope you are having a great weekend.

Oh Crab...

I got a new stamp set the other day and could not wait to use it. I have been wanting an image stamp forever from Paper Smooches and finally got one. Thanks Michelle.

Don't you just love that little crab and the sentiment is just perfect, especially on this card today.

I used the newest challenge over at  Less is More which was a sketch challenge.

Notice the nice sketch with that nice border below the image? Notice on my card how I totally forgot it? See I told you that sentiment was perfect for this card. lol

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

wishing you

Okay this is my 3rd and last post for today. I have been busy making Christmas Cards using this months challenge over at Merry Monday.

For my card I used papers by My Minds Eye from last years holiday collection along with a Martha Stewart snowflake punch, PTI buttons and stamp by My Sentiments Exactly.

For inspiration I used sketch #17.

Okay, thanks for stopping by my blog and as always your comments are appreciated.

have a merry

This is my second post today and includes another of my submissions for this months challenge over at Merry Monday.

For my card i used papers by Memory Box, the trees are by me&my big ideas and the sentiment is by savvy stamps.

I used sketch #9 as the inspiration for this card.

Thanks for stopping by.

the wish

Although it is too hot to think about Christmas here in Minnesota I have been working on my Christmas cards the past couple of days.

I used sketch #10 over at Merry Mondays for this card.

For my card I once again used October Afternoons papers and button from the "holiday style" collection along with some kraft cardstock and twine from my stash. Sentiment is an old Penny Black stamp.

The challenge over at Merry Monday for July is to use any sketch from this past year and create a card.

Here is the sketch I used for my inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by to look and I will be posting a couple more cards today for this challenge.

hi

Another quick card to share with you that I created for this weeks Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.

I used papers and embellishments from the Little Yellow Bicycle collection "Splash" along with some American Crafts "thickers" and the sentiment is by Maya Road.

Here is the sketch that I used for inspiration.

Thanks again for stopping by my blog.

celebrating your birthday

I needed a birthday card for my son Justin's best friend Ernie who is coming over today for his weekly Sunday visit.

I used papers from the Echo Park "take note" collection, along with a sentiment stamp by PTI and Prima "say it with crystals". I got the idea of adding the little fish tail banners on the side from LeAnne who was in charge of this weeks challenge over at The Paper Players.

Thanks for stopping by to look and as always your comments are welcome. I am hoping to get a few more cards done today before company arrives and before it gets too hot in my upstairs no air conditioning craft room.

hello sun.

My friend Amy told me there was a new challenge blog that started called CASology and I could not wait to check them out.

The first challenge just went live and it is a word cue. With this weeks word being SUN. You do whatever comes to mind when you see the word.

At first I wasn't sure what I was going to do or if I even had anything that had to do with the sun. Thank goodness my Technique Tuesday July stamp of the month arrived and it was all about Summer.

I embossed my card using the new Spellbinders m-bossabilities hexagon folder, I cut the sun  using my Silhouette Cameo.

Thanks for stopping by and looking at my card. Don't forget to go over and check out the challenge along with the design teams cards.

merry monday #23

I am on a Christmas card making kick today using the challenge over at Merry Monday for the month of July.

For my card I used one of my favorite Penny Black background stamps along with my ranger distress inks and distress stains. The sentiment is a rub-on by making memories, buttons and twine are from my stash.

Here is sketch 23 that I used for my inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by to look and as always your comments are appreciated.

merry monday #13

I have a card to share with you that I created for the Merry Monday July challenge. The challenge for the whole month of July is to use any previous sketch.

So I pulled out my Christmas container of papers and embellishments along with my drawer full of Christmas stamps. It is so nice to have all these in one place when I want to create a Christmas card.

I used papers from the My Minds Eye "lost and found christmas" collection along with a Unity Stamp called "a beautiful sight",  sentiment is a rub-on by pebbles, button is from my stash.

I colored the image with memento rich cocoa ink along with my green and yellow acrylic paint daubers by ranger.  If you haven't tried using acrylic paints on your stamps I definitely recommend trying it. You get such a nice texture on the image.

Here is the sketch that inspired my card today.

Thanks for stopping by my blog. I will definitely have more of these holiday cards to share with you since it is our chance to use our favorite sketches. I think I have 6 sketches picked out to use this month.

make a wish

Another quick card for me today which uses two of my favorite things. A sentiment stamp by Paper Smooches and papers and chipboard by Crate Paper from the "paper heart" collection.

As soon as I saw this weeks sketch challenge over at Retro Sketches I knew I had to play along once again. They have an awesome design team as well as some of my favorite sketches.

So I still haven't figured out which Paper Smooches stamp set to buy yet, but I am loving the sentiment sets so much that I picked a couple more. They are pure loveage!

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

happy anniversary

I find it overwhelming when I think about being married to one person for almost 37 years. It makes me feel so old and then I remember that I am ONLY 56 which right now is the new 36. *grin*

I knew when I saw this weeks sketch at Clean and Simple Stamping that I wanted to use my Crate Paper "paper heart" collection that had been neglected way too long so decided to make an Anniversary card for my DH.

Here is the sketch that I used for my inspiration.

I have a quick card to share with you today.

I created it for the latest Deconstructed Sketch using papers by My Minds Eye from the Lime Twist collection along with stickerz by EAD Designs.

Here is the sketch that inspired my card.

Okay, that is all from me today as it is WAY to hot to be in my upstairs craftroom with this heat and humidity that we are having.

Thanks for stopping by.

celebrate

I needed to make a quick birthday card this morning for my niece/god-daughter Kate who has a birthday on Wednesday.

I also wanted to see if I could use a sketch along with my washi tape and new favorite stamp set (sentiment sampler) by Paper Smooches.

I used Neenah solar white linen along with Washi tapes by October Afternoon from the Cake Walk collection along with this weeks sketch from Retro Sketches.

Such a fun sketch to use for this card.

So do you own any Paper Smooches stamp sets? I want to buy one with images but can't decide which one so am open to suggestions. Which is your favorite?

Thanks for stopping by my blog.

miss you

I was bored this evening so decided to make a quick card using some of my washi tape along with a new stamp set I got today.

I finally bought a Paper Smooches stamp set (simply said).

Again, thanks for stopping by my blog. Your comments are appreciated.

excited

I can't wait for tomorrow as it is the first day of my July Studio Calico class which is a stamping class.

It was $29 for the class and includes this awesome stamp set. Can't wait for class to start.

I have been taking a new class with them each month, but this is the first one that is not scrapbook related.

christmas joy

Here is another card that I created this morning while the rest of the family was sleeping.

I used my "lost & found christmas" papers by My Minds Eye along with a digital image from my stash, joy tag by chic tags, a christmas chipboard button and joy image from my stash.

I created this card for this weeks challenge over at Jingle Belles which is to make a vintage Christmas card.

Thanks for stopping by to look.

gracias

I was up earlier than normal this morning and decided to make a card or two before the rest of the family woke up.

I used one of the new My Minds Eye paper pads that I picked up at Homegoods last week called "darling dear" from the six by six collection along with some EAD vinyl rubons by Paper Smooches that have been in my stash for about a year. I decided to put lots of them as my main focal point of the card.

I used this weeks sketch over at Clean and Simple Stamping as my inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today and as usual your comments are welcomed and appreciated.
