tis' the season ~ SC357

I love the Echo Park "season's greetings" paper and chipboard so much that I definitely will be using it a lot this holiday season.

As soon as I saw the sketch SC357 over at SplitCoast I knew I had to play along.

just because

I picked up some kraft colored tissue paper at a local store and wanted to use it for some flowers on a few cards I was making. 

Here are those two cards.

Not sure what happened to the color on the above card but those leaves are a chartreuse green and not yellow. I cut out some flowers from the Tim Holtz sizzix die and then after gluing all the layers together I scrunched it up to form what looked like a tulip to me. But looking at this picture it looks more like a rose.

This next card used the same kraft tissue paper along with a doily and some tulle fabric. I layered several layers of the tissue paper and tulle to form the flower and then scrunched it up just a bit.

For my card I used a penny black flower image, Cosmo Cricket "tiny type" stickers, Cuttlebug "swiss dots" embossing folder and Neenah solar white linen.

It is Sunday and I have been having a very lazy day just playing in my craftroom and still in my pajamas.

I created a couple cards while watching Season 3 of "Sons of Anarchy".

For this card I used papers and chipboard embellishments by Echo Park and this weeks sketch over at CPS.

For my next card once again I have used the sketch over at Clean and Simple Stamping along with papers and cardstock stickers by Authentique.

holiday traditions

I love Friday as one of my favorite sketch challenges happen on Friday's and as soon as I saw that this weeks was a sketch challenge I knew I had to play along. I love CAS-ual Fridays.

I picked up the new Echo Park papers and chipboard last weekend and since I love the vintage look of this collection I knew it would be just perfect for this sketch.

Along with the EP collection I used some of my wrinkle ribbon from my shop. This color is called "old vine". In honor of opening my ribbon shop, go ahead and take a look around and leave me a comment telling me what your favorite color is and I will pick someone to send their favorite ribbon to. It is Friday and time for another new release from A Day for Daisies and also a challenge. This weeks challenge is "metallic", use something metallic on your card using any image from A Day for Daisies.

For this weeks card I got to use Tammy's new image called "mummy cupcake". I just love it and as soon as I saw this weeks Freshly Made Sketch I knew that I would use it for my card layout.

For my card I used left over paper scraps from a mini album tha I made. The papers are by We R Memory Keepers, the sticker is bo'bunny and the bottle cap was one in my stash not sure who makes it.

I just realized that the holidays are not that far off and I don't have nearly enough Christmas cards made so you will probably be seeing a lot of them in the coming weeks.

I used this weeks sketch over at Sketches for you to Try for my inspiration along with papers and embellishments by Authentique. The ribbon is from my new ribbon shop at the top of my blog. (thanks Arielle)

december snows

I picked up some new paper this past weekend while up in Pine City so had to make a card with it right away when I got home.

I used the newest sketch by Tami Mayberry at CPS along with papers and embellishments by Echo Park from the "seasons greetings" collection. I was so excited to see that they had added chipboard embellishments to their line of products.

gone fishing

On Saturday I went to an all day crop a little North of my home about 70 miles away. I had a great time and created a mini paper bag album and a couple of card boxes with cards that I will be giving away during the holidays to friends and family.

Here is a look at those projects. The mini album is for my nephew Josh and his family. The album holds lots of photos both on the pages, tags and also inside the flap of each bag. Here is just a glimpse of some of the pages.

This is a look at one of the pull out sections from inside the paper bags.

Here is a look at the little card boxes that I am making for friends and family each box is different on the outside and holds 4 cards with envelopes on the inside.

If you are in the MInneapolis/St. Paul area we will be making a box with four cards at the Anchor Paper December card club. It will be using SEI snowflake papers and the embellishments on the cards will be snowflakes.

I created a mini paper bag album for Cassie's bff Kalley using one of this weeks new release images from A Day for Daisies called "love my bunny" as the focal point of my cover. 

Here is a look at some of the album. I used papers and embellishments by October Afternoon from the "Sidewalks" collection as it was still sitting on my table from the last mini I made.

Isn't she just adorable I loved paper piecing her outfit. The entire book went together rather quickly and I finished it up in about 4 hours time.

I have been working on this little mini album for Cassie for about 2 weeks and finally finished it up today. I saw a post on the October Afternoon blog on how to cut and score the pages of the book and then sewing it down the center with your sewing machine.

Here are some of the pages.

I picked some of my favorite photos of Cassie and changed all of them to sepia before printing them out.I thought they would go better with the October Afternoon "Sidewalks" collection of papers and embellishments that I used.

I just love how it turned out and can't wait to give it to her. Now I need to work on a gift for my newest great nephew Ryder James. I always make an 8x8 album when we get a new member in our family.

I have been working on a mini album for Cassie using October Afternoons "sidewalks" collection so when I saw this weeks Sweet Sunday Sketch I decided to use what was already on my table.

This was a very quick card to put together. The stamp was from an RAK I received a few days ago from a special blog friend.
