first mini of the year

My goal this year is to work on the mountains of photos I have waiting to be either scrapbooked, turned into a mini or just put into an album of some sort.

Today I finished up this little mini album for Micah. I decided to keep it pretty basic and used just a few ingredients. I also did one common item on each page and that was a snowflake with a button. I think it pulls it all together.

mini me

Sorry I haven't posted in a few days I wish I could say I was off on some fun vacation but I wasn't. I have been in my craftroom making mini albums out of envelopes, chipboard, cardstock and patterned papers.

I learned how to make these mini albums and am now hooked on them. I also learned how to make them out of paper bags and chipboard and will share that one as soon as I do the binding on it.

Here are a few photos of the mini's. One is just the pages and no actual photos yet and the other is almost done.

I think my favorite part of making the mini albums is the spine. When you are done it looks like an actual bound book and this just amazes me.

I have made a couple cards too and will be back tomorrow to show those to you.

power outage...

I was going to post this earlier this morning but we were without power for about 6 hours so after running out to get a cup of coffee and a few other errands I came home to wait for the power.

I have a mini album to share with you that I did while scrapbooking with friends last week.  I used the October Afternoon "campfire" line of papers, chipboard album and embellishments.

The photos are of my husband, son Justin and his best friend Ernie and their annual trip up to the cabin in Northome, Minnesota.
